Chapter 41

That night after the party when Cannon got back, Elaine wasn't still back to the suite. He remembered her saying that she wasn't feeling well and going back to the suite. He wanted to accompany her but Elaine strictly said not to follow her.

He tried to finish early there but couldn't. It seemed being the leader of the Elite Panel demanded much time not to mention the uncalled responsibilities. He called Elaine immediately but the phone got buzzing on the bedside table too much for his irritation.

Cannon got changed shrugging and got on the bed with an intention to sleep it off but things didn't go this way as her pale face got flashing in his mind.

He remembered her face when she left the hall room. She didn't look normal to him, not even sick or something. He mentally groaned. From the day of their last argument, Elaine used to roam around the city whenever she felt like it. Cannon also didn't say anything but today it was getting too much. Cannon looked at the ticking wall clock as
