Chapter 39

Cannon's POV

Sending Elaine back in the suite, I kept walking following the way, we walked together earlier as I got asking myself, "What am I doing actually?"

My life was just a series of unfortunate events from the very beginning. Just when I thought it was going to be fine from now, it took another disastrous turn.

I didn't know how long I kept walking being lost in my thought. When I realized, I have already come too far from our hotel, I thought of going back.

But then Sam called me. I took a cab and made my way to the hotel while talking to Sam. Arriving at the hotel, I didn't get to the hotel room knowing Elaine must be waiting for me and we would have to share the same bed.

I sat in the courtyard as I got my actions again, considering.

It was already morning when I got back to the hotel.

I was supposed to attend a meeting with one of the companies, I signed a project with. I tried to make less of a sound thinking Elaine must be sleeping but got her awake.

Glancing at the
