Chapter 8

Like a detective who is stalking her target, Yasmin and Naomi were seen following Keenan and a girl who was walking through the campus hallway towards the library. Occasionally the two girls hid when they saw Keenan and the girl stopped their steps. It seems that Keenan began to realize that someone had been following him. Just now, the man seemed to stop his steps while looking at his surroundings.

"I think we got caught, Yas. Let's just go straight to us instead of hiding like a thief," Naomi said, making the girl immediately shut her mouth by Yasmin.

"Keenan, who are you looking for? Come on," asked the girl who was with Keenan.

Keenan was silent for a while, the man still looked around. But there were only a few people passing by "It looks like someone is following us," he said making the girl immediately look around.

"Who? Just your feelings, people from earlier there were only people passing by. Let's hurry up, I have class again."

Not wanting to get too carried away with his suspicions, Keenan immediately continued his steps with the girl towards the library. Seeing that the two people had resumed their steps, Yasmin also intended to follow her again but suddenly Naomi said that she had a stomachache and wanted to go to the toilet. Forced Yasmin alone to follow Keenan.

Once in the library, Yasmin lost track of Keenan. The girl could not see Keenan's whereabouts. Strange, even though before entering she still saw the man. Not wanting to give up so easily, Yasmin finally looked for the man's whereabouts in the library. It was not easy for her to find Keenan considering the library was quite large.

"Where did they go, they disappeared so quickly," muttered Yasmin. The girl gave up, she had no more energy to continue looking for Keenan.

"So you're the one who's been following me?" said Keenan. The man came out of his hiding place and approached Yasmin.

Since earlier Keenan was very sure if someone was following him. Therefore he deliberately hid to find out who was following him. Eh it turns out that the person is a girl he really doesn't want to meet. Yasmin, who doesn't know that girl. On this campus Yasmin is famous for her love of Keenan. The girl didn't stop chasing Keenan even though Keenan had told her that he didn't like her at all.

"Uh Keenan, how come you're here? Uh, are we not soul mates because we accidentally met here?" asked Yasmin while showing her awkward smile.

Instead of answering Yasmin's question, Keenan stared at the girl who interfered with his life almost every day. "How long have you disturbed my life? Where there is me there must be you. I'm tired of seeing it."

"Maybe that's called soul mate? We are destined to be soul mates and therefore we are never separated."

Seeing how shameless Yasmin said that made the girl who was with Keenan stare at her with a strange look. Out of curiosity, the girl asked Keenan who Yasmin was because she didn't know Yasmin at all.

"Introduce me Yasmin, Keenan Argantha's girlfriend candidate," said Yasmin while extending her hand to the girl.

"Girlfriend? You're crazy! No, she's not my girlfriend. Just so you know, Yasmin. This girl who is now next to me is my girl. Her name is Gladys," said Keenan, making Yasmin and the girl who was with him surprised.

Girlfriend? Since when did Keenan have a girlfriend? So far there has never been a single gossip that says if Keenan has a girlfriend, so Yasmin does not easily believe him just like that. It's obvious when Yasmin laughs after hearing Keenan say that the girl standing next to him is his girlfriend.

"Geez Keenan, I don't like you so much to admit that you already have a girlfriend?"

An annoyed look was clearly visible on Keenan's face, the man could not understand Yasmin's way of thinking "If you don't believe it, just ask the person."

Gladys looks confused when Keenan asks Yasmin to ask him directly. Because she got a glance and a nudge from Keenan, finally the girl said yes to Keenan's words. "Keenan is right, I'm Gladys his new girlfriend. We've only been dating for 2 days so maybe not many people know."

"No, you must be joking right? There's no way you're dating. Keenan, you must be doing this just to make me stop chasing you, right?"

"Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you. Now you know that I already have a girl, so stop chasing me or disturbing my life anymore."

Without caring about Yasmin's sad look, Keenan immediately pulled Gladys' hand. Taking the girl out of the library leaving Yasmin who is now the center of attention of several students who are in the library.

Gladys Margaretha or commonly called Gladys is Keenan's distant cousin. The girl had just moved to this campus because her parents were transferred to this city. Keenan is forced to recognize Gladys as his girlfriend so that Yasmin stops chasing him because the man feels very disturbed by Yasmin who always seeks his attention.

"Keenan, are you crazy? Why are you claiming that I'm your boyfriend?" Gladys asked angrily. 

Now Gladys and Keenan are already in the man's car. Keenan was forced to bring her here because he was afraid that Yasmin would still follow him.

"Sorry, I had to do that. Do you know who that girl was? She's the one I often tell you about. I was really tired of being chased by her so I had to admit you as my girl. Dis, I ask you for a favor, please pretend to be my girlfriend in front of Yasmin."

Without thinking, Gladys immediately refused. Not without reason she refused to help Keenan, it was all because she already had a boyfriend. Even though her boyfriend was studying out of town, but still her status now was someone's girlfriend. Gladys didn't want her relationship with her boyfriend to fall apart just because she helped Keenan become his pretend girlfriend.

"You know I already have a boyfriend, I don't want my boyfriend to get angry if I become your pretend boyfriend."

"Please just this once. Besides, your boyfriend is in Bandung, he won't know."

"I still don't want to!!!"

Keenan was silent. He seemed to be thinking of a way to get Gladys to accept his offer. "How about I buy you tickets to your favorite idol's concert? I'll buy the vvip one."

"2 tickets."

"How can you be so unreasonable? Just 1 vvip ticket is already very expensive."

"2 tickets or I won't help you?"

Keenan let out a rough breath. He gave up, there was no other way but to follow his cousin's wishes. Even though he had to spend a lot of money just to buy 2 concert tickets which were certainly very expensive.
