27. Warm and Moist

Charlotte’s POV

He smiled at me, led me to my hotel room, then sighed and said, "Call me if you need anything. I already told the security guard to be very wary, because Logan might come back and cause more trouble."

“Cedric, I can’t thank you enough for your help.”

He said, “Don’t mention it.”

I gave him a shy smile as I’m about to close the door, and whispered softly, “Goodnight…”

“I’ll see you tomorrow?”

I didn't want to disappoint him, so I smiled, nodded, and hesitantly said, "Yes, sure." But the fact is that I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to see him again tomorrow since I didn't want to continue to make his life more difficult in any way. His help this night was more than enough for me to cherish.
