Liam POV

Scarlett’s been in hospital for four hours now, so of course we were responsible for her. I told the hospital staff that I was her boyfriend and filled in all the paperwork. They did some blood tests, she had a serious infection, they still couldn’t isolate the reason why.

Of course, no one would argue with two Alphas, but I understand that they have medical and patient confidentiality, so I lied about being her boyfriend.

'Could have been true.' Grim commented, feeling a little sad, but certainly more worried about Scarlett's health than anything else at this time.

We told them where we were staying and that she had gone to a waterfall nearby. We told them the whole story and that helped them to do further tests. We paid for a private room, plus, of course, all the extra costs to ensure that her treatment was top priority.
