Mate For The Alpha Brothers
Mate For The Alpha Brothers
Author: Lommie Cee

You have to find your mate

"This is ridiculous." Rodriguez said to his father as they stepped into his office. Barros looked at his son and sighed. They had been on this issue for the past few hours and Barros was trying to make his son see reason. He had been told the condition for becoming alpha at a meeting with the elders of the pack concerning his coronation and he was not taking it lightly.

"This is how it's always been. It's our tradition. The heir to the pack has to be mated before he can become the nest alpha. It's like a sign to the people that you're ready to lead them." His father explained.

Rodriguez ran his hand through his hair as he sat down in his chair behind his desk. He was truly frustrated. He had worked hard for so long to prove that he was worthy to become the next alpha, only to be told that he had to be mated. He didn't want to give up his lifestyle. He had a reputation in his pack for being a player. He never dated any woman for more than a week and he enjoyed doing it. The thing was all the women he dated knew about his reputation, but they hardly cared because they all had what they were after.

Rodriguez Wolf was the most eligible bachelor in the whole of Moona pack. He was perfect in every way, that was why girls followed him wherever he went. Standing at six foot two inches, Rodriguez had short brown hair, brown eyes, a sharp jawline and angular features. He was a spitting image of his father, the only difference was their height and the fact that his father was noticably older. All of Rodriguez's training had paid off because he had rock hard muscles on his whole body. Not only was he handsome, he was also rich. He drove the latest cars and wore the trendiest clothes. Which ever girl he was dating, he would spoil so much that even after unjustly breaking up with her, she would be the one coming back to beg. The most important reason of all was the fact that he was to be the next alpha. Who didn't want the privilege of becoming the next luna. All these contributed to making Rodriguez very comfortable with his life he was living.

"What if I don't manage to get a mate before that time?" He asked his father.

"Then according to the traditions of the pack, you would not be made the next alpha. The position would be given to the most eligible in the family, and that would be your cousin, Fernando. You know he got married last year. And all that would mean that the rulership of this pack would leave my lineage and I can't ever let that happen." Barros explained to his son as he leaned forward in his chair.

"But dad after all my hard work? I wasn't told all this before, and you all know how hard I have worked just for the progress of the pack, and then when it's time, you come up with this?" He scoffed in disbelief.

"That is exactly why the elders have chosen to give you two years. But it has to be before your twenty fifth birthday though, so that your coronation ceremony and wedding can be held at the same time, which would be double the celebration." His father tried to reason.

As they spoke, his mother walked into his office. His mother, the luna of the pack, Caua Wolf was a woman in her early fourties. She was only a little over five foot which made her very short compared to her husband and son. She had long brown hair and brown eyes that shone whenever she spoke. She also had very soft features. She was a caring mother and a kind luna. All the people of the pack love her for her good heart, and Rodriguez loved his mom more than anyone else.

When he saw her walk into the office, he stood up from his chair and rushed over to where she was. She hugged her tightly before bringing her over to the couch at the side of his office to sit down before sitting beside her. Barros stood up to give his wife a kiss on her head before returning to his seat.

"I heard about what was going on, so I rushed over." She said before turning to her son.

"Why are you making things harder for yourself and us? This has always been the condition for the coronation of alphas in our pack. The reason we didn't tell you before was because we didn't want to trouble you. We wanted you to enjoy your teenage years as you liked and that when the time came, you would be prepared and stop the stupid games you've been playing." His mother said, scolding.

"But, mom." He said almost whining.

"But nothing. This stupid phase of yours has gone on for far too long. Did you think that you would have just been left alone to do as you please and keep fooling around the the title of alpha hanging over you head? That would soil the name of our pack, and besides don't you want something like what your father and I have? That happiness of having somenone to love and call your own and someday starting a family with that person."

As they spoke, Barros received a call, which he stepped aside to answer.

"You should really think and decide which is more important to you." She said as Barros stepped back in.

"Caua, love we have a meeting now and we're already late." He said walking close to her to help her up. She took his hand as she stood up.

"We both want what's best for you , Rodriguez. We would never do anything that would put you in a difficult position, so you should seriously think about this." She said giving him a kiss on his head before leaving with Barros.

Rodriguez leaned back on the couch, confused. On the one hand, he loved the way he was living and wasn't ready to commit himself to any one, but on the other, he also wanted to become alpha. He groaned as he put his arm over his eyes. After a while, he heard a knock on his door.

"Come in." He said sitting up. In came Emilio Rivera, his best friend and the one that was to be beta when he became alpha. Emilio was also talk, but not as tall as Rodriguez. He had blond hair that had been swept back and brown eyes. Him and Rodriguez had been friends for a long time and this also made them partners in crime.

Emilio entered carrying a brown file in his hand and sat down opposite Rodriguez, about to spill the most intriguing thing he had found. When the news of the condition for being alpha had come, he had told Emilio to come up with a plan for him to maneuver the situation. Emilio had always been able to find a solution to any situation they had been in growing up.

"So, what did you find?" Rodriguez asked leaning closer.

"You would never believe." He said pulling the papers out of the brown file and resting back, crossing his legs. He handed them over to Rodriguez for him to take a look at them himself.

Clipped to the front of the papers was a photo of himself. He frowned as he looked at the picture before looking at Emilio who with a smile on his face, gestured for him to keep reading. As he read the papers, his eyes widened as he looked between Emilio and the papers. They both burst out laughing.

"Wow, you really are the best at what you do." Rodriguez said to Emilio as he smirked, a plan hatching in his mind.
