Chapter 4

Ciara

My heartbeat accelerated, so fast the movement was loud enough for my ears to pick naturally without enhancement. It thumped erratically, almost affecting the balance of my restrained arms.

His sentence came reiterating like an engine sound in my brain, “To have you pay for your father’s sin.”

That was his response to my question about why I was abducted. The voice was suppose to turn me on further like it has been doing since we’ve met did the opposite, instead I was triggered by it; a different kind of feeling, an emotion, one I have never felt before, precisely named fear.

I experienced me that left me in a state I don’t find myself liking soon or ever. It was primal and it affected me deep.

My breathing was distorted and I couldn’t keep our gaze solid watching him walk out of my presence, the metallic door closing back that kept me caged in his prison.

My gaze glued to the floor unable to move away, my lips trembling with raspy gasps falling out repeatedly.

The voice he had use to reply me was a lot different from the hard rugged ones he has spoke with since he spoke his first sentence, it was ominous, edgy, darkness surrounding it. I couldn’t help the sensation that litted through my system afterwards hearing him responded.

An unpleasant sensation, so strong it had my heart beating astray, reflecting to my stance that tottered against its balance.

What could he mean by that…?

That doesn’t mean he is going to hurt me or anything? He wouldn’t even, we’re mate and he wouldn’t wish to hurt his fated life partner.

“Cara what did you get from his wolf when you try feeling him?” I called out to my wolf, asking her in my head.

My head was also spiraling, there was something else I noticed in his bright red enchanting orbs, it was soul smacking enough to heighten my state of anxiety.

Someone flashed through the moment he muttered the sentence, it wasn’t his seriousness; that was well expressed on his face, it was his wickedness rather, something I should fear and run from.

‘The same vibe Ci, the same vibe. He was silent and made no connection, I sent a psychic message which he totally ignored. I’m afraid they both meant what he said.’

My wolf laid her response back in my head, I gasped out feeling troubled. I’m sure she was feeling it too, and instead of her consoling she was sharing it.

“At least he has a wolf, you should keep sending him message whenever we come together again and in future. Try to convince him we’re innocent and his mates, he shouldn’t hurt us.” I told her, the last we want is living the rest of our life paying for the sin we never committed or was even born when it was committed.

‘Who told you Lycans doesn’t have a wolf, it’s just a different more powerful ones. They’re like us, just advanced and that is exactly on my mind to do before you suggested. I’d say you should partake but I’m betting everything on you getting distracted the moment you hear his voice. I can’t deny our mate has a really sexy voice, I’m quite fascinated by him. And I’m actually looking forward to him calling our names during our first sexual moment.’

Cara has always been a strict organized wolf, I was blessed with her and without her my life could have been a mess.

She appeared two years ago, making sure I am exactly what I want to be. She went missing in action after I decided to pick Ridley as my fated mate upon all of her oppositions against him.

Hearing this coming from her is strange, I was expecting her to get an ick from our mate and start giving me ways to correct it. Instead, here she is simping like I was over the sexy voice.

I was about to reply her when the metal door creaked open, the harsh sound itching my hearing. I left the connection created between me and my wolf so she could meddle with the conversation I’m about to have.

I was expecting the visitor to be him, but it was rather a strange adult looking man with a long hair held up in ponytail, a bit huge but quite not an intimidating size.

He came in further standing exactly at a spot where the moon rays shun right on him exposing his appearance.

He had on a look of disdain, directed at me. He was murdering me with his eyes, and I can feel the blade in his eyes poking my skin.

“Don’t fucking look at me before I give your eyes something bloody to look at.” He brawled in total hatred, growling at me to show how staid his threat was.

‘I think he is a fellow Lycan who loathe us obviously, and by his words I’m guessing he is threatening to hurt us. Better look away from him.’ My wolf warned instantly and without thinking I oblige averting my gaze on him.

I could hear him approaching and my sight caught his feet standing right in front of him, I was tempted to raise my gaze up at him but I dead the thought keeping my eyes glued at his black suede shoes.

“I can’t believe he asked me to come ask you for what you want to eat. You should starve to death, I don’t get why he wants to feed you.”

I could hear the anger in his voice as well as the hatred, it was clear and pretty vivid. And a sense of ease washed through my system hearing it was my mate who ordered him to come ask for what I’d like to eat.

“Oh wait. He speak in parables sometimes, he captured a very beautiful werewolf that is a girl and then ask me to go over and ask for what she want to eat,”

I have no idea what he was arriving at but I felt him grabbing my chin roughly and forcing my gaze to look up at him, his palm spread over gripping on my jaw tightly it stung deeply.

“I was a fool not to understand that what he meant was for me to come eat the newbie, he really knew my types.”

His voice that had gone perverted spoke into my face as I watched him stuck out his tongue swiping it over his bottom lip.

“Time to taste a dick bitch!” He left my jaw giving me a hard slap that touched right into my body spreading an harsh pain all over my face.

I looked up back at him to see him moving back and working on his belt to remove his black pants.

What was he trying to do with me? Better not be exactly what my thoughts are insinuating.
