(Olivia's POV)

I swear I saw the look of desire cross in Mark's eyes, as his lips parted to say something, but the door to my hospital room burst open, and my foster mother, Nancy George, walked in, accompanied by her daughter, Emily.

Their eyes locked on Mark and me, who were so close together on my bed.

"Oh no! Not again," I pondered, as I could feel my heart beating loudly in my chest.

To my shock, Nancy didn't yell at me like I had expected her to do, and I remembered Dr. Sam's warning to Mark that he would have my foster mother arrested for my sake, but that didn't stop her from peering at me contemptuously.

"What's going on here, Mark? Why are you here? Shouldn't you be on the basketball court, preparing for your match for today?" Nancy asked as she peered at her son angrily.

"Good morning, Mom. I already called my coach, and he said the match will not start until 12:00 p.m. today," Mark replied with a calm voice, but his mother frowned.

"Mmm. So why are you here to check on Olivia? You should stay away from her. You can have any girl in this pack that you want. Why are you hovering around this wolfless girl? Do you want to bring shame to our family!" Nancy demanded as she stood glaring at Mark.

My head was aching, and I held it, remembering each word that Nancy used to insult me every day of my life.

I wasn't the only child born on a moonless night, but I was the only one whose parents rejected, and I ended up getting adopted by a family that wouldn't fail to taunt me with it.

"Mom, you have no right to tell me how I should treat Olivia. She is still my sister, as I have grown up having her around. If you don't have anything good to say, then leave!" Mark spat, pointing at the door, and my jaw dropped.

"What? You are sending me away because of this girl? You will surely bring her home, and I will deal with her myself. Let's go, Emily! We shouldn't have come here to check on the slut!" Nancy shouted, her hand reaching to drag her daughter as she led Emily away.

Emily wore a short black dress and a pair of brown shoes. She glared at me as our gaze met, but seeing her older brother in the room, she was afraid of Mark, so she held her tongue and ran out after her mother.

"You don't have to be scared of them," Mark said, his deep voice breaking my chain of thought but not enough to calm my rapid heartbeat.

"But they're your family, and right! If you keep causing problems for me and your family, how do you expect me to cope? Just stay away from me!" I yelled at Mark, sending him away too. He couldn't be acting like he cared for me when he was obviously making his mother hate me more.

"Hey, relax, I am still here, and I haven't gone," Mark refused to leave, and I ended up shedding tears and screaming at him, "Get out! Leave me alone!"

Doctor Sam and another female nurse came rushing into the hospital room that I was admitted into.

"What's going on here? Mark, you have to leave. You're not helping your sister recover by staying here. Do you want her to suffer more strain on her head? Leave!" Dr. Sam's voice was harsh as he pointed at the door for Mark to leave.

Mark looked from me to Dr. Sam. "Fine, I will leave," he replied, his voice calm as he walked ahead to the door. Once he reached the door, he pulled it open and exited the room, and I burst out crying on the bed.

"It's okay, everything will be fine," Dr. Sam said with a soothing voice, but I didn't want to hear him out.

"Everything cannot be fine, Doctor. What do I do if my family sends me away? I have no family or friends to accommodate me?" I sobbed on the bed. I could feel Mark's presence behind the door.

Dr. Sam heaved a sigh and asked, "Can you come and stay with me? I can offer you accommodation at my home."

"No…" Before I could finish my response, Mark darted back into the room and grasped Dr. Sam by his shirt, lifting him off the ground with a level of strength that I didn't know he had.

"You fụcking idiot. Why are you trying to snatch my sister to come and live with you?" Mark yelled.

"Mark, let go of Dr. Sam!" I yelled at him, shocked by his entrance.

Mark glared at Dr. Sam and let go of him. "You shouldn't listen to him. I am sure he has ulterior motives for asking you to come to his house. Do not worry. I will speak to Mom and Dad when I get home, and they will not hurt you again, alright?"

Mark's eyes locked with mine, and something in the way that he peered at me made me want to believe that he would be able to speak to his family. But wouldn't that worsen the whole situation? As I looked between Mark and Dr. Sam, who adjusted his shirt after Mark had grabbed him.

Dr. Sam spat, "Mark, I do not understand why you are not allowing Olivia to move out of your parents' home. She is almost eighteen years old, or already eighteen because we are not so sure of her real date of birth, so you cannot be a controlling freak of a brother. I am only trying to help her, and your threat won't prevent me from offering help. As a doctor, my duty is to save lives, so my offer is still on."

"Olivia," Dr. Sam turned to face me and said, "Whenever you're ready to move out of your adoptive parents' home, you can come to my place. My sister spoke so much about you and your academic performance. I wouldn't want your intelligence to go to waste, so when you feel a need to move out, you can reach out to me."

"Mmmm…" Mark glared at Dr. Sam, who stood unfazed as he spoke to me softly.

"Okay, Doctor. I will consider your offer later. Thank you," I said, feeling relief.

Dr. Sam smiled, glared at Mark, and walked away from the room with the nurse.

As the door closed, Mark looked at me intensely and asked, "You are not serious about moving to his house, right? He's a man, what makes you think that he doesn't have any ulterior motives against you?"

I pouted my pink lips, unable to reply, and Mark drew near me on the bed, suffocating me with his lemonade scent as he said, "Trust me, Olivia. I will speak to my parents."

"Fine, but if they don't change, I will move out," I replied, shifting my gaze to lock with his face, so close that I could feel my heart beating faster.

  • Mated To My Obsessive Foster Brother   Chapter 66

(Mark's POV)I had finished painting some of the client works that I had pending on my laptop, based on client requests, when Caleb mind-linked me that he was coming over to my house with Olivia.Swiftly, I left everything I was doing and rushed out of the house to welcome them.Although my father had mind-linked me too, and invited me home for us to discuss Emily's mate bond with Carter and how we can reach out to Carter, as Emily was unhappy and crying.Well, as much as I like my sister, I couldn't trade my own happiness for her to be happy. So I haven't agreed to visit him yet. But hearing that Olivia was coming over to my house made me overjoyed. As the security man pulled the gate open, I walked out to welcome them and enveloped Olivia in a warm hug after she returned back.Allowing her to go home wasn't what I wanted, but I couldn't stop her from reuniting with her family. After all, I knew how much it meant to her."How is home? Why did you bring her back? Is she going to live

Olivia's POV:After dinner with my parents ended at the table, I picked up the napkin to wipe my lips clean."Thanks, Mom and Dad," I said with a smile, recalling that Nancy and her husband had barred me from eating at the dining table with them or even calling them Dad and Mom."You're welcome, Summer," my parents said, calling me by my real name."Don't worry. Once Caleb is done, he will escort you to Mark's house to get your stuff, okay?" my dad said, to which I smiled and rose to my feet."Alright. I would like to use the washroom," I said with a soft voice, as I excused myself from the dining table.I made my way upstairs and went back to my room, and I went to the bathroom to use it. The room was neat, including the washroom. When I was done, I got out and met my mother in the room.I smiled, walking up to meet her, as I had dried my hands with a tissue in the washroom."How was life growing up with the George's family? Although I am not happy that you chose to be with Mark," Mo

Olivia's POVWalking into the living room of the magnificent mansion, I gasped at the grand stairs and interior decoration. The mansion was more stunning than Mark's home or Mr. and Mrs. George's home."You're welcome home, Summer. This is your home too," my family said, as they all smiled at me.Tears welled up in my eyes as I could not believe that this was my real family. It all felt like a dream, but it wasn't.Taking a glance around the grand living room, I peered at the artistic painting on the wall.I saw a similar artistic image, but with different clothes, of the baby drawn on the wall.So if Mark hadn't drawn this baby portrait in his house, I wouldn't have reunited with my real family. I knew that I owed Mark a lot, and my heart fluttered at these few days that I had spent with him.I hadn't gotten more time to spend with him. I would have loved to know more about him."Welcome home, my daughter. I know that you're finding this hard to believe, but you saw the DNA test, and

Olivia's POV:Arriving at the impressive mansion, I watched Caleb drive his black sports car skillfully into the mansion grounds and parked it."Welcome home, sister," he said, as he turned off his car and my heart swelled up with joy and warmth."Thank you," I said, as I blushed before unfastening my seatbelt."Wait, let me help you with that," Caleb said, as he stopped me from opening the car door by myself.Getting out of the car, Caleb walked over to the other side and pulled the car door open for me to get out like a princess.Smiling, I got out of the car, while I watched my two other brothers' cars arrive as they drove in skillfully into the mansion and parked."Welcome home, sister," my brothers said, as they got out of the car, and helped our parents to get out of their cars too.A group of happy people were standing at the front of the mansion and most of the domestic staff were males which surprised me."Welcome to our home, Olivia. This is where we have lived and I think y

Mark's POV:I was happy for Olivia, seeing her reunite with her family. I wasn't expecting the DNA test to prove positive, although I had a feeling that Olivia was probably Caleb's sister. Their resemblance and also, with the fact that Mrs. Grayson had said that her baby had a star birthmark on her back. "Mark, what's going on? Why did the Graysons take Olivia away? Is she really their sister?" Mom asked as she walked up to meet me at the front of the hospital building while I waved goodbye to Olivia. I wanted to go with her to the Graysons' mansion, but I decided for her to bond with her family first. Then we can get back together and continue with our relationship. But will they even allow me to have Olivia? I missed my time with her and honestly didn't want to let Olivia go, but I trust that she won't cheat on me. Even as a man, I was shedding tears at watching her reunite with her family. "Mark!" Mom yelled my name, and only then did I take notice of my sister who had arrived w

  • Mated To My Obsessive Foster Brother   Chapter 61

Olivia's POV:Walking into Dr. Sam's office, I was perspiring as I followed Mark, who held my hand and whispered in my ear."Relax, babe; I believe the test will be positive," he said, his voice cool against my ear.How could I relax when I had been found in a basket and adopted into a family who didn't like me?"Here, have a seat," Dr. Sam said, noticing our anxiety and delaying us slightly.I watched Mr. and Mrs. Grayson sit down first, while Mark and I stood, even though there were two additional guest chairs on the side. Dr. Sam's office was spacious, and the air conditioning unit helped calm my racing heart.Clearing his throat, Dr. Sam smiled and said, "This DNA test result hasn't been tampered with. It was clinically tested and proven correct by our DNA lab expert, who drew samples of your blood and consulted the paternity test. Well, I'll present the two copies—one to you, Olivia George, and the other to Mr. and Mrs. Grayson. You can go ahead and check it out."Dr. Sam said th
