LOGINMARK:
"Olivia was absentmindedly dressing in her room, so I hurriedly slipped out after seeing her náked. Thankfully, she didn't participate in any pack activity because she didn't have a wolf. She has never celebrated her birthday before; we only assumed her age. My parents didn't know who Olivia's real parents were, except that someone dumped her in a basket in front of the pack's orphanage home. I felt a pressing desire to protect Olivia, to claim her as mine. And I believe maybe that was why my parents adopted her. Looking away from Emily's stern face, I smiled at Ava and said, "I came to shop for my lunch." "That's fine, Mark. I'm sorry I missed coming to watch your basketball game against the Red Ballers. I was busy in class and couldn't miss it," Ava said, her hand reaching out to touch my chiseled chest as she bit her bottom lip seductively. Stepping away from Ava's touch, I replied, "It's nothing you should worry about. It's just a friendly match." My voice calm, I moved away from Ava to create distance between us. She was our Alpha's daughter, and she had a sort of charm that compelled single guys to lust after her, but I didn't want to fall for her charm. "Alright." Ava bit her bottom lip and said, "Emily and I are already leaving. We will see you later." She turned to walk away with my annoyed sister, but paused and asked, "Mark, that reminds me, will you attend Rita's 18th birthday is tomorrow evening? She's your Coach's daughter and my best friend too. Won't you attend it? We'll have a lot of fun at the pack's hotel tomorrow." "Mmm." My brows furrowed, as I had thought Coach Tyler wanted his daughter's 18th birthday celebration at his home. But obviously they were moving the celebration to a hotel, since Rita was becoming a new adult. Ava was 20 years old, and so was my younger sister, Emily. They didn't have any fated mates and behaved as silly as they liked—clubbing, partying, and sleeping around. "Hmm," I sighed, as I couldn't control Emily; after all, she was beautiful, and our Mom had that responsibility. "Fine. I'll be there," I replied, wanting to enter the eatery and shop for the plate of ice cream and noodles I wanted to buy for Olivia as dinner. "Aww, Mark. That's so wonderful! See you tomorrow! Come on, Emily, let's go!" Ava squealed as she grabbed my sister's hand and led her away. Emily glared at me, her brows furrowed—you wouldn't believe she was my sister. She followed Ava, and they were out of my sight. Breathing out with relief, I focused my attention on the eatery and entered inside. The sun set, and the weather gradually darkened as if rain was on the way. As I moved into the eatery lobby, the cold air conditioning cooled my skin, then I moved over to the counter and shopped for two take-away meals, two cups of ice cream, and fried chicken. The thought of having my lunch at the hospital with Olivia made me smile, even though the possibility of encountering my mother there gnawed at me. As I paid for my purchase, the eatery attendant who sold me the meals blushed as she peered at me and asked, "Excuse me, sir, aren't you the Basketball Star Player, Mark George? Can I have your autograph, please?" Her brown eyes twinkled with clear desire, and I got this admiring look from most young she-wolves in this pack. If only Olivia would drool over me like that. I smiled, "Of course." "Thank you," she giggled and gave me her pen and right hand to sign on her palm. I could smell her arousal as my hand held hers. Several young women, both single and married, on the queue rushed over to me for an autograph. They were waiting to shop for their own meals, but seeing me accept the pen to sign an autograph for this eatery staff, they rushed forward, all desiring one too, automatically forgetting why they were there. "Star player, Mark! Me too!" They begged, and the eatery became crowded with many she-wolves begging for my attention. "Star Player, Mark. Can I have your autograph too?!" Their voices resonated in the eatery, turning it into a marketplace, and my head ached as they surrounded me. The thought of missing my lunch with Olivia gnawed at me, so I waved them off. "No! Next time!" I growled, my hands swiftly reaching to pick up my two packages as I paid and dashed out of the eatery. The young women chased me, but I swiftly hopped into my red car, shut the door, started my engine, and drove off to the hospital. "Phew! That was so close!" I exhaled, and my wolf sighed with disgust. "Why do they keep gawking at you like that, both the single and married women? Can't they wait to find their real mates?" Logan murmured, clearly displeased at the multitude of young women lusting after me. I was handsome, so I couldn't blame them. Those young women were ready to get into bed with me if I agreed. 'Maybe they haven't seen a handsome basketball star like me before. Besides, I wasn't the only star player in this pack. Why the lust?' I agreed with Logan, as I focused on my driving. "Tsk. It's because you're handsome, so I don't blame them," Logan replied, his voice sounded irritated, and I smiled. "Alright. If only Olivia would drool over me like that. She barely meets my gaze, and you know how much I crave her attention!" I muttered, holding the steering wheel as I navigated my red car toward the pack's hospital. It was a short distance from the eatery—a 30-minute drive, as it was past 4 pm. The basketball match barely lasted an hour. Due to the incoming rain, the surroundings gradually grew darker, as it was the middle of the year, when the rainfall threatened to claim over the lands and territories, flooding the streets and blessing some lands. "Hmm," Logan hummed, "just give Olivia some time. I believe she'll fall for us." His voice was confident, and I couldn't wait for that day to arrive. As I arrived at the pack's hospital, I drove my car into the hospital grounds and parked it. When I got out, my hand reached for the package on the next seat and picked it up. Taking it out of my car, I locked the door and made my way toward the hospital entrance. The Starfield Pack hospital was a magnificent three-story building. The opulent structure had been constructed for ages, yet it was still beautiful. As I walked into the hospital lobby, Dr. Sam came out of the emergency unit on the left side and locked his gaze on me. He wore green surgeon's garments, removed his nose mask from around his nose, and marched up to meet me. He wasn't the only doctor working in this hospital, but I was pissed at him because he had an interest in Olivia. How dare he invite her to his house with the excuse of helping her. "Mark, what are you doing here again?" Dr. Sam asked, walking over to meet me. His voice stern, as he was once my high school colleague, but after we graduated, he went to university to study medicine while furthered my education in sports. "Mmm. I don't owe you an explanation for why I'm here. Please, excuse me," I replied and moved past Dr. Sam, making my way toward the second floor female ward to find Olivia. Luckily, Dr. Sam didn't chase after me.Summer's POVWhen I moved to enter the basketball court, I spotted Ava's car arrive, as a long, luxurious bus pulled up too. Inside the bus were basketball players from the Bright Star Pack.Grinning, I glanced away and moved towards the entrance. The security searched us one by one before we were permitted entry.I moved to find a seat, my heart thudding in my chest as I sat close and watched the audience chairs fill up.Many pack members arrived, and we sat across from some of the fans from the Bright Star Pack.Their players wore red tops and brown shorts. Little by little, they stepped in, until the game was about to start.I watched our Starfield Pack players arrive. They filled the stage. The game began, and the referee blew the whistle. When I looked over at the players playing, I didn't see Mark among them. My heart slammed against my rib cage as I watched the Starfield Pack players dribbling and passing the ball. The Bright Star players were fierce. A guy named Max grasped ho
Summer’s POV:As I perched on the silver chair in the dining room and ate my breakfast with my family, it consisted of a cup of tea paired with four slices of bread.“You need to eat more, Summer. You need to gain weight,” Caleb said, as he sat next to me in the chair. He picked another slice of bread and added it to my plate.“Maybe the food is not her favorite. Summer, do you want us to change the diet and add any meals to your menu?” Mom asked, her tone sounding soft, as her eyes met mine.“No, the food is enough. I do not have a favorite meal,” I replied calmly.Cooper grinned and said, “Then we can hire a nutritionist to help Summer improve her diet.”“Let her eat more fruit. She will look better,” Carter said, as he sat next to Cooper at the table.“Alright. We should hurry up after winning the match. I will take Summer to the fruit market to get her more fruits. Which is your favorite?” Caleb inquired, as he picked up his cup and sipped his tea. Finishing it, he set the cup on
Summer's POV:The week rolled by and Saturday arrived. I did not want to leave my room, as I lay on the bed.I felt sick, so I pulled the bedsheets over myself properly.Just then, the intense knocking on the door rattled me as I lay on the bed.I lazily got out of bed and went to pull the door open. I wore a white nightdress that fell past my knees.“What the hell, sis! You look a mess!” Caleb exclaimed, as it was already 8 a.m., but I was still feeling sleepy.“Good morning, brother,” I greeted him with a grumble.“What is wrong? Did Mark do anything to offend you?” Caleb asked, his voice serious as he took a step into the room. Before I could react, he checked my body temperature, but I replied, “Mark did not do anything. I am just not feeling fine.”Caleb scowled and asked, “Should we visit the pack’s hospital?” His voice was thick with concern for me, but I stopped him.“No need. You guys have games to play today, so I will get ready.”I was aware that the game was going to kick
Ava's POV.When I drove to the omega district of our pack, my stomach churned violently. My palms tightened around the steering wheel."Mate!" My wolf growled, urging me toward the mate bond.Gritting my teeth, I parked my car along the roadside. This was not the first time since I found out I was pregnant by Wren. My desire spiked, and I stayed constantly aroused."Damn it. What do I do?" I groaned in my car."Ava, are you alright?" Justin mindlinked me, and I retorted, "I am not. I told you we should find time to reject each other. I cannot accept you.""Don't say that. If you do not want me, who will you accept? An alpha cannot reject their mate, remember. You need me. I can smell your heat," he said, his voice teasing."Shut up!" I growled at him and shut him out, but he mindlinked me again."I saw you drive to that rural area. We can meet up if you want," he ordered. It tempted me, but I didn't want to get caught. If Bryan or my dad found out I was mated to Justin, they would for
Summer's POV:"Summer, you look radiant," Cooper teased me as he watched me stride back into the living room, holding the flowers.Mom's gaze landed on me. Seeing the bouquet of lavender flowers in my hands, her brows furrowed. "Who brought the flowers? Was Mark here?" Mom asked, trying to keep a neutral expression."Yes," I replied, quickly moving to the stairs."Good night, everyone," I dashed and went back to my room, as I didn't want to get any form of scolding from them. Though my brothers had no issues with Mark, I didn't want to stand there and watch my mother ruin my mood. When I entered my bedroom, my hand reached for the knob and I shut the door behind me. I moved to the drawer closer to my bed and carefully placed the bouquet of lavender flowers there. The sweet scent hung heavily in my room, and I giggled at the recollection of hugging Mark.A knock on my door startled me, and I quickly stepped away from the flowers as I rushed over to the door to find out who was there. W
Summer's POV:After my dinner with Mom, I decided to go outside for a stroll. When I rose to my feet to leave the house, Mom studied my face and asked, "Summer, are you sure that you are alright? Or has Mark broken up with you? Did he cheat on you?""No," I quickly denied. "He didn't cheat on me," I said, my voice shaky.Mom studied my face as a heavy silence descended in the living room. "It's fine. Just know that if I found out that Mark is cheating on you, he will never be welcomed into this house."I gulped heavily and nodded. "Got it, Mom. I want to take a stroll outside," I said, and she nodded.I walked out of the door, my heart racing loudly against my rib cage, my hands holding my phone as I checked if Mark had called me. Yet, no calls. The moon rose gradually above the sky, as the time struck 7:30 pm.Just as I took a stroll around the lush gardens that surrounded my father's magnificent home, the smell of the flowering plants filled the air, and my eyes darted to the lavend
Olivia's POV: When Carter's car pulled out of the residence and drove down the road, I reclined in the car seat, resting my arm on the armrest of his black sports car. The ride was slow, not at all fast-paced. As he navigated the road, heading toward the pack's university and driving behind Coope
Olivia's POV:Carter paused behind me and helped me pull the dining chair forward as I sat down.Taking my seat, I smiled and spoke to my brother, "Thank you.""You're welcome, sis," Carter replied, taking his seat next to me at the dining table. I watched as a male servant came out of the kitchen
Olivia's POV:After dinner with my parents ended at the table, I picked up the napkin to wipe my lips clean."Thanks, Mom and Dad," I said with a smile, recalling that Nancy and her husband had barred me from eating at the dining table with them or even calling them Dad and Mom."You're welcome, Su
Olivia's POV:Arriving at the impressive mansion, I watched Caleb drive his black sports car skillfully into the mansion grounds and parked it."Welcome home, sister," he said, as he turned off his car and my heart swelled up with joy and warmth."Thank you," I said, as I blushed before unfastening
