~~MARK~~

Olivia was absentmindedly dressing in her room, so I hurriedly slipped out after seeing her naked.

Thankfully, she didn't participate in any pack activities because she did not have a wolf.

Olivia had never celebrated her birthday before, as we only assumed her age.

My parents didn't know who Olivia's real parents were, except for the fact that she had been dumped in a basket in front of the pack's orphanage home.

I felt a pressing desire to protect Olivia, to claim her as mine. And I believed that might be why my parents had adopted her.

Looking away from Emily's stern face, I smiled at Ava and said, "I came to shop for my lunch."

"That's fine, Mark. I am sorry that I missed coming to watch your basketball game against the Red Ballers. I was busy in class and I couldn't miss it," Ava said, her hand reaching out to touch my chiselled chest as she bit her bottom lip seductively.

Stepping away from Ava's touch, I replied, "It's nothing that you should worry about. It's just a friendly match."

My voice was calm as I moved away from Ava to create a small distance between us.

Ava was our Alpha's daughter, and she had a sort of charm to compel single guys to lust after her, but I did not want to fall for her charm.

"Alright," Ava bit her bottom lip and said, "Emily and I are already leaving. We will see you later."

Ava turned to walk away with my annoyed sister, but she paused and asked, "Mark, that reminds me, will you attend Rita's 18th birthday tomorrow evening? She's your coach's daughter and my best friend too. Won't you attend it? We will have a lot of fun at the pack's hotel tomorrow?"

"Mmm," my brows furrowed, as I had thought that Coach Tyler wanted his daughter's 18th birthday celebration at his home. But it was obvious they were moving the celebration to a hotel, since Rita was going to become a new adult.

Ava was 20 years old, and so was my younger sister, Emily. They didn't have any fated mates and behaved as sillily as they liked. Clubbing, partying and sleeping around.

"Hmm," I sighed as I couldn't control Emily; after all, she was beautiful and Mum had that responsibility to handle.

"Fine. I will be there," I replied, wanting to enter the eatery and shop for the plate of ice cream and noodles that I wanted to buy for Olivia as dinner.

"Aww, Mark. That's so wonderful! See you tomorrow! Come on, Emily, let's go!" Ava squealed as she grabbed my sister's hand and led her away.

Emily glared at me again, her brows furrowed and no one would believe she was my sister. She followed Ava and they were out of my sight.

Breathing out with relief, I focused my attention on the eatery and entered it.

The sun set, and the weather gradually darkened like the rain was on the way.

As I moved into the eatery lobby, the cold air conditioning cooled my skin; then I moved over to the counter and shopped for two take-away meals, two cups of ice cream, and fried chicken.

The thought of having my lunch at the hospital with Olivia made me smile. Even though the possibility of encountering my mum there gnawed at me.

As I paid for my purchase, the eatery attendant, who sold the meals to me blushed as she peered at my face and asked, "Excuse me, sir, aren't you the basketball star player, Mark George? Can I have your autograph please?"

Her brown eyes twinkled with clear desire, and I got this admiring look from most young she-wolves in this pack. If only Olivia could drool over me like that.

I smiled, "Of course."

"Thank you," she giggled and gave me her pen and right hand to sign on her palm.

I could smell her arousal as my hand held hers. Several young women, both the single and married women in the queue, rushed over to me for an autograph.

They were waiting in the queue to shop for their own meals, but seeing me accepting the pen to sign an autograph with this eatery staff member, they rushed forward, all desiring to have an autograph too, as they automatically forgot why they were there.

"Star player, Mark! Me too!" They begged, and the eatery became crowded with many she-wolves begging for my attention, "Star player, Mark. Can I have your autograph too?!" Their voices resonated in the eatery, turning it into a marketplace, and my head ached as they surrounded me.

The thought of missing my lunch with Olivia gnawed at me, so I waved them off.

"No! Next time!" I growled, my hands swiftly reaching to pick up my two packages as I paid for them and dashed out of the eatery. The young women chased after me, but I swiftly hopped into my red car, shut the door, started the engine and drove off to the pack's hospital.

"Phew! That was so close!" I exhaled, and my wolf sighed with disgust.

"Why do they keep on gawking at you like that, both the single and married women? Can't they wait to find their true mates?" Logan murmured, clearly displeased at the multitude of young women lusting after me.

I was handsome, so I could not blame them. Those women were ready to get down in bed with me if I agreed to do it.

*Maybe they haven't seen a handsome star like me before. Besides, I wasn't the only star player in this pack. Why the lust?* I agreed with Logan as I focused on my driving.

"Tsk. It's because you're very handsome. So I don't have to blame them," Logan replied, his voice serious and I smiled.

"Alright. If only Olivia could drool at me like that. She barely meets my gaze and you know how much I crave her attention!" I muttered, holding onto the steering wheel as I navigated my red car towards the pack's hospital.

It was a short distance from the eatery—a thirty-minute drive, as it was past 4 pm. The basketball match had barely lasted one hour.

Due to the incoming rain, the surroundings gradually grew darker as it was the middle of the year. When the rainfall threatened to take over the lands and territories, flooding the streets and blessing some lands.

"Hmm," Logan hummed, "just give Olivia some time. I believe she will fall for us." His voice was confident and I could not wait for that day to arrive.

As I arrived at the pack's hospital, I drove my car into the hospital grounds and parked it.

When I got out of my car, my hand reached for the package on the next seat and picked it up.

Taking it out of my car, I locked the door and made my way towards the hospital entrance.

The Starfield Pack hospital was a magnificent three-storey building. The opulent structure had been constructed for ages, and yet it was still beautiful.

As I walked into the hospital lobby, Dr. Sam came out of the emergency unit on the left side and locked his gaze on me. He wore a green garment like a surgeon as he removed his nose mask and marched up to meet me. He was not the only doctor working in this hospital, but I was pissed off at him because he had an interest in Olivia. 'How dare he invite her to his house with the excuse of helping her?'

"Mark, what are you doing here again?" Dr. Sam asked, walking over to meet me. His voice was stern, as he was once my colleague in high school, but after we graduated from high school, he went to university and studied medicine while I furthered my education in sports.

"Mmm. I do not owe you an explanation as to why I am here. Please, excuse me," I replied and moved past Dr. Sam as I made my way towards the stairs. I went up to the second floor female ward to find Olivia.

Luckily, Dr. Sam didn't chase after me.

(Summer's POV)“So you didn’t miss me?” Christopher asked as I sat next to him in the large classroom.“I do,” I mumbled, my cheeks flushed.“Great. So what did you keep for me?” Christopher inquired. Before I could reply, our professor stepped in and resumed the lecture for the day.As the day rolled by, it was time for lunch. When I rose to leave my seat, I remembered and pulled out the invitation slip that I had personally saved for Christopher.“Chris, I know that we’re just getting to know each other, but here is an invitation to my banquet,” I said, holding out the slip toward him.Christopher was still sitting, writing some notes he had missed on the day he hadn’t shown up to class.“Oh, Summer. That’s thoughtful of you. My dad spoke to me about the banquet yesterday and how much it meant to your parents. They’ve missed you so much,” Christopher said, looking up at my face. I blushed.“Though my dad already brought two invitations for me and my brother, Enzo, I can’t refuse you

BRYAN:"Bryan, what the hell is Ava talking about?" Mom asked as I walked into the exquisite dining room to greet her."Good morning, Mom," I said with a sigh, trying to evade her question.Mom looked at me furiously. "Morning, but you haven’t answered my question.""Mom, I know you’ll be angry if you find out. That’s why I don’t want to mention it to you," I said, frustrated, as I sat down in the chair across from her.Mom leaned back in her dining chair, looked at my face, and asked, "Who is she?""Mom, let’s not talk about her," I said, glancing over at the maids and signaling one of them to serve me breakfast."Bryan, as your mother and your Luna, I demand to know who she is. How can you be so shameless as to lust after someone’s girlfriend?" Mom pointed out, her tone laced with anger. I lowered my head and avoided her gaze.I knew I deserved all the insults, but it wasn’t my fault. My wolf and I wanted Summer."Bryan, are you listening to me at all?" Mom growled. I raised my head

AVA:Mark peered at me in shock; even Mom was stunned by my attitude and shrieking.“Ava, what has gotten into you? Are you trying to make fun of Mark? There is no smell. What are you talking about?” Mom asked aloud as she glared at me.“Mom, Mark reeks of Summer’s smell,” I pointed out, anger flooding through my veins as Mark sniffed his own shirt to identify the irritating smell I was talking about. However, when he heard me mention Summer’s name, his expression softened as he smiled handsomely, making my heart race, and he admitted, “Summer was with me this morning. She came to visit last night and the rainfall was too much, so I advised her to stay back. That’s why I am bathed in her smell—I didn’t want to bathe or wash it off.”Mom’s jaw dropped, including mine. I could not imagine how insane Mark was to carry a woman’s scent on him. Also, to skip bathing so that he didn’t wash off Summer’s smell.Mom looked at Mark differently as she smiled and asked him, “Do you love Summer tha

AVA:When I woke up in my room, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and gasped, “Ah!” My belly tightened, making me perspire. In the meantime, I had been sensitive to some smells, some foods, and I knew that these were all the symptoms of the little pup.Damn it. Why can’t I have a quiet abortion? I murmured; all the abortion medicine had been banned and there was no way I could get rid of the baby.Every child’s life matters to my dad—unless the mother’s health was in danger, then he could approve the termination of the pregnancy. My fist clenched as I wanted to punch the little pup away from my belly, but that would be too extreme.Sighing, I moved to the bathroom to soak myself in a large bathtub of warm water. The weather was cool, and I didn’t want to go to the university. Because I had spent so much time sleeping the previous day in the classroom, the majority of the students were beginning to look at me differently.I had to lay low and keep to myself for now, before the news o

SUMMER:The next morning, I woke up in bed and found myself lying close to Mark. He lay shirtless on the bed, and my hand rested around his waist as I snuggled beside him.Smiling, I shifted on the bed and stared at his attractive features for a while. His chest rose and fell heavily.Checking the wall clock, I saw that it was after 6 a.m. So I carefully got out of bed to avoid waking Mark. Then I made my way into the bathroom to bathe.I couldn’t believe that I was back here and that I had spent a night with Mark. Well, knowing that I had to focus on my studies, I quickly stripped off the dress and got into the shower. After bathing, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my chest. When I walked back into the room, Mark was not there—the bed was empty—but he had arranged it to look neat.I moved into the closet to find a dress to wear. My mind bugged me to purchase some new dresses and bring them over to Mark’s place, as it was mostly my old clothes that were stuck in

BRYAN:I could not believe my eyes that Summer was here with Mark. No wonder he wasn’t even planning to apologize to my sister or return to the game to join us for the basketball training ahead of the tournament game we have this coming Saturday.I watched Summer boldly walk up to meet Mark, call him babe, embrace him, and kiss him on his left cheek in my presence. My fist clenched at the sight of them. But I didn’t say anything other than watch her figure hurry upstairs.“What brings you here, Alpha Bryan?” Mark asked, finally shifting his face back to me. His lips curled into a smirk to show me that he had claimed Summer—the girl that I wanted—and there was nothing I could do. I was the Alpha. I had to stand there and watch him do whatever he liked. I could have had the privilege to sue Mark, but I confirmed his report that Wren already sent Summer away. So technically, Olivia was a free bird, and now she has reunited with her family.Clearing my throat to put my anger away, I fixed

SUMMER:I smiled at the thought of cooking for myself, Mark, and our pups. The thought of it made my heart flutter as heat rose up my neck."What are you thinking about, Summer? SUMMER: My heart fluttered as Mark carried me in his warm arms and took me back to his room. His scent clung to me like a blanket.
