Mag-log in(Mark's POV)
Olivia was absentmindedly dressing in her room, so I hurriedly slipped out after seeing her náked. Thankfully, she didn't participate in any pack activities because she did not have a wolf. Also, she had never celebrated her birthday before, as we only assumed her age. Mom and Dad didn't know who Olivia's real parents were, except for the fact that she was dumped in a basket in front of the pack's orphanage. I felt a pressing desire to protect Olivia, to claim her as mine. And I believed maybe that was why my parents had adopted her. Looking away from Emily's stern face, I smiled at Ava and said, "I came to shop for my lunch." "That's fine, Mark. I am sorry that I missed coming to watch your basketball game against the Red Ballers. I was busy in class, and I couldn't miss it," she said, her hand reaching out to touch my chiseled chest as she bit her bottom lip seductively. Stepping away from Ava's touch, I replied, "It's nothing you should worry about. It's just a friendly match." My voice calm, I moved away from Ava to create a small distance between us. She was our Alpha's daughter, and she had a sort of charm to compel single guys to lust after her, but I did not want to fall for her charm. "Alright," Ava bit her bottom lip and said, "Emily and I are already leaving. We will see you later." She turned to walk away with my annoyed sister, but she paused and asked, "Mark, that reminds me, will you attend Rita's 18th birthday tomorrow evening? She's your coach's daughter and my best friend, too. Won't you attend? We will have a lot of fun at the pack's hotel tomorrow." "Hmm," my brows furrowed, as I had thought that Coach Tyler wanted his daughter's 18th birthday celebration at his home. But it was obvious they were moving the celebration to a hotel since Rita was going to become a new adult. Ava was 20 years old, and so was my younger sister, Emily. They didn't have any fated mates and behaved as silly as they liked: clubbing, partying, and sleeping around. "Hmm," I sighed, as I couldn't control Emily. After all, she was beautiful, and Mom had that responsibility to handle. "Fine. I will be there," I mumbled, wanting to enter the resturant and shop for the plate of ice cream and noodles that I wanted to buy for Olivia as dinner. "Aww, Mark. That's so wonderful! See you tomorrow! Come on, Emily, let's go!" Ava squealed as she grabbed my sister's hand and led her away. Emily glared at me once more, her brows furrowed as you wouldn't believe she was my blood sister. She followed Ava, and they were out of my sight. Breathing out with relief, I focused my attention on the resturant and entered inside. The sun set, and the weather gradually darkened like rain was on the way. As I moved into the resturant lobby, the cold air conditioning cooled my skin. Then, I moved over to the counter and shopped for two takeout meals, two cups of ice cream, and chicken. The thought of having my lunch at the hospital with Olivia made me smile, even though the possibility of encountering my mother there gnawed at me. As I paid for my purchase, the resturant attendant who sold the meals to me blushed as she peered at my face and asked, "Excuse me, sir, aren't you the basketball star player, Mark George? Can I have your autograph, please?" Her brown eyes twinkled with clear desire, and I get this admiration look from most young she-wolves in this pack. If only Olivia could drool at me like that. I smiled, "Of course." "Thank you," she giggled and gave me her pen and right hand to sign on her palm. I could smell her arousal as my hand held hers. Several young women, both single and married, on the queue rushed over to me for an autograph. They were waiting on the queue to shop for their own meals, but seeing me accepting the pen to sign an autograph with this resturant staff, they rushed forward, all desiring to have an autograph, too, as they automatically forgot why they were here. "Star player, Mark! Me too!" they begged, and the resturant became crowded with many women begging for my attention. "Star player, Mark. Can I have your autograph, too?!" Their voices resonated in the resturant, turning it into a marketplace, and my head ached as they surrounded me. The thought of missing my lunch with Olivia gnawed at me, so I waved them off. "No! Next time!" I growled, my hands swiftly reaching to pick up my two packages as I paid for them and dashed out of the resturant. The young women chased after me, but I swiftly hopped into my red car, shut the door, started my car, and drove off to the hospital. "Phew! That was so close!" I exhaled, and my wolf sighed with disgust. "Why do they keep gawking at you like that, both the single and married women? Can't they wait to find their true mates?" Logan murmured, clearly displeased at the multitude of young women lusting after me. I was handsome, so I cannot blame them. Those women were ready to get down in bed with me if I agreed to do it. *Maybe they haven't seen a handsome star player like me before. Besides, I wasn't the only star player in this pack. Why the lust?" I agreed with Logan as I focused on my driving. "Tsk. It's because you're handsome, so I don't have to blame them," Logan replied, his voice serious, and I smiled. "Alright. If only Olivia could drool at me like that. She barely meets my gaze, and you know how much I crave her attention!" I muttered, holding onto the steering wheel as I navigated my red car toward the pack's hospital. It was a few distances from the resturant, a 30-minute drive, as it was past 4 p.m. The basketball match barely lasted an hour. Due to the incoming rain, the surrounding grew darker as it was the middle of the year when the rainfall threatened to claim over the lands and territories, flooding the streets and blessing some lands. "Hmm," Logan hummed, "just give Olivia some time. I believe she will fall for us." His voice was confident, and I cannot wait for that day to arrive. As I arrived at the pack's hospital, I drove my car into the hospital grounds and parked it. When I got out of my car, my hand reached for the package on the next seat and picked it up. Taking it out of my car, I locked the door and made my way toward the hospital entrance. The Star Field Pack hospital was a powerful three-story building. The opulent structure has been constructed for ages, and yet it was still beautiful. As I walked into the hospital reception, Dr. Sam came out of the emergency unit at the left side and locked his gaze on me. He wore a green garment like a surgeon, as he removed his nose mask around his nose and marched up to meet me. He was not the only doctor working in this hospital, but I was pissed off at him because he had an interest in Olivia. How dare he invite her to his house with the excuse of helping her? "Mark, what are you doing here again?" Dr. Sam asked, walking over to meet me. His voice stern, as he was once my colleague in high school, but after we graduated, he went to the university and studied medicine while I furthered my education in sports. "Hmm. I do not owe you an explanation as to why I am here. Please, excuse me," I replied and moved past Dr. Sam as I made my way toward the stairs and went up to the second floor female ward to find Olivia. Luckily, Dr. Sam didn't chase after me.(Mark's POV)I had finished painting some of the client works that I had pending on my laptop, based on client requests, when Caleb mind-linked me that he was coming over to my house with Olivia.Swiftly, I left everything I was doing and rushed out of the house to welcome them.Although my father had mind-linked me too, and invited me home for us to discuss Emily's mate bond with Carter and how we can reach out to Carter, as Emily was unhappy and crying.Well, as much as I like my sister, I couldn't trade my own happiness for her to be happy. So I haven't agreed to visit him yet. But hearing that Olivia was coming over to my house made me overjoyed. As the security man pulled the gate open, I walked out to welcome them and enveloped Olivia in a warm hug after she returned back.Allowing her to go home wasn't what I wanted, but I couldn't stop her from reuniting with her family. After all, I knew how much it meant to her."How is home? Why did you bring her back? Is she going to live
Olivia's POV:After dinner with my parents ended at the table, I picked up the napkin to wipe my lips clean."Thanks, Mom and Dad," I said with a smile, recalling that Nancy and her husband had barred me from eating at the dining table with them or even calling them Dad and Mom."You're welcome, Summer," my parents said, calling me by my real name."Don't worry. Once Caleb is done, he will escort you to Mark's house to get your stuff, okay?" my dad said, to which I smiled and rose to my feet."Alright. I would like to use the washroom," I said with a soft voice, as I excused myself from the dining table.I made my way upstairs and went back to my room, and I went to the bathroom to use it. The room was neat, including the washroom. When I was done, I got out and met my mother in the room.I smiled, walking up to meet her, as I had dried my hands with a tissue in the washroom."How was life growing up with the George's family? Although I am not happy that you chose to be with Mark," Mo
Olivia's POVWalking into the living room of the magnificent mansion, I gasped at the grand stairs and interior decoration. The mansion was more stunning than Mark's home or Mr. and Mrs. George's home."You're welcome home, Summer. This is your home too," my family said, as they all smiled at me.Tears welled up in my eyes as I could not believe that this was my real family. It all felt like a dream, but it wasn't.Taking a glance around the grand living room, I peered at the artistic painting on the wall.I saw a similar artistic image, but with different clothes, of the baby drawn on the wall.So if Mark hadn't drawn this baby portrait in his house, I wouldn't have reunited with my real family. I knew that I owed Mark a lot, and my heart fluttered at these few days that I had spent with him.I hadn't gotten more time to spend with him. I would have loved to know more about him."Welcome home, my daughter. I know that you're finding this hard to believe, but you saw the DNA test, and
Olivia's POV:Arriving at the impressive mansion, I watched Caleb drive his black sports car skillfully into the mansion grounds and parked it."Welcome home, sister," he said, as he turned off his car and my heart swelled up with joy and warmth."Thank you," I said, as I blushed before unfastening my seatbelt."Wait, let me help you with that," Caleb said, as he stopped me from opening the car door by myself.Getting out of the car, Caleb walked over to the other side and pulled the car door open for me to get out like a princess.Smiling, I got out of the car, while I watched my two other brothers' cars arrive as they drove in skillfully into the mansion and parked."Welcome home, sister," my brothers said, as they got out of the car, and helped our parents to get out of their cars too.A group of happy people were standing at the front of the mansion and most of the domestic staff were males which surprised me."Welcome to our home, Olivia. This is where we have lived and I think y
Mark's POV:I was happy for Olivia, seeing her reunite with her family. I wasn't expecting the DNA test to prove positive, although I had a feeling that Olivia was probably Caleb's sister. Their resemblance and also, with the fact that Mrs. Grayson had said that her baby had a star birthmark on her back. "Mark, what's going on? Why did the Graysons take Olivia away? Is she really their sister?" Mom asked as she walked up to meet me at the front of the hospital building while I waved goodbye to Olivia. I wanted to go with her to the Graysons' mansion, but I decided for her to bond with her family first. Then we can get back together and continue with our relationship. But will they even allow me to have Olivia? I missed my time with her and honestly didn't want to let Olivia go, but I trust that she won't cheat on me. Even as a man, I was shedding tears at watching her reunite with her family. "Mark!" Mom yelled my name, and only then did I take notice of my sister who had arrived w
Olivia's POV:Walking into Dr. Sam's office, I was perspiring as I followed Mark, who held my hand and whispered in my ear."Relax, babe; I believe the test will be positive," he said, his voice cool against my ear.How could I relax when I had been found in a basket and adopted into a family who didn't like me?"Here, have a seat," Dr. Sam said, noticing our anxiety and delaying us slightly.I watched Mr. and Mrs. Grayson sit down first, while Mark and I stood, even though there were two additional guest chairs on the side. Dr. Sam's office was spacious, and the air conditioning unit helped calm my racing heart.Clearing his throat, Dr. Sam smiled and said, "This DNA test result hasn't been tampered with. It was clinically tested and proven correct by our DNA lab expert, who drew samples of your blood and consulted the paternity test. Well, I'll present the two copies—one to you, Olivia George, and the other to Mr. and Mrs. Grayson. You can go ahead and check it out."Dr. Sam said th
