Mark's POV:

"Wait, Mark! Where are you rushing to? We want to have a little celebration party for winning against the Red Ballers now, and yet, you're in a hurry. Is there something that you're hiding from us?" Daniel asked, moving forward to meet me. His gaze fixed on me coldly as he smirked.

I didn't like how Daniel Ryan pointed out his questions, drawing the attention of our colleagues.

"It's personal. And I do not need to tell you," I replied, my voice calm, my eyes meeting Daniel's gaze. He was angry because Olivia rejected his advance toward her before he settled for Emily. How was that my fault?

"Don't lie to us, Mark!" Daniel yelled, his eyes shooting daggers at me. "If at all you want to lie, you should have a little respect for Alpha Bryan!"

"Let him go, Daniel. I have no interest in what Mark wants to go and do. And since he said it's personal, you don't have to pick on him," Bryan chimed in, his voice gentle and trying to settle the rift between Daniel and me.

"Daniel, Bryan is right. You're just mad at Mark because his sister rejected you. How is it Mark's fault or problem that you got rejected by Olivia? Stop being a sour loser!" Caleb shouted, picking on my side. For some odd reason, I think Caleb and his brothers shared a small resemblance to Olivia, but I was not so sure if they were related to her. Moreover, they never had any sister.

"Shut up, you three morons! I am not being sour about Olivia's rejection. Fine, I admit that I got pissed off that she rejected me, but what's so special about her? She's a wolfless girl and born on a moonless night. Who would want a wolfless girl like her? Huh?" Daniel yelled, making my fist clench. But I didn't show my disgust. After all, he was Bryan's Beta.

"Say whatever you like about Olivia, if that will make you feel better. I am out of here," I replied, my voice stern as I turned to walk away and exit the basketball court room.

Daniel called out to me, "Mark! I heard from Emily that you're defending that bìtch at home! Are you secretly sleeping with her at home? After all, she is your sister? Who knows what you both are doing behind closed doors. Or why do you suddenly seem to care about her now?"

The room dropped silent, as everyone waited to hear my response. Indeed, I rushed back home to take Olivia to the hospital after the housemaid, Tracy, contacted me and informed me that my mother had beaten Olivia and left her to die in the living room.

I was at my new home, trying to furnish it. When I left everything I was doing and rushed back to my father's house, I saw Olivia lying lifeless on the living room floor, and Mom already left for her work, even as she was a nurse. She didn't care to check on Olivia. No one was at home, except for the maid who was a middle-aged woman.

As I burst into the living room, I rushed to carry Olivia in my arms and took her straight to my car. As I kept her in the backseat and hopped into my red sports car, I roared my car to life and drove straight to the pack's hospital.

Upon my arrival at the pack's magnificent hospital, Mom saw me carrying Olivia into the emergency unit, and she was so furious seeing me, as she worked in the Obstetrics unit.

After I came out and the doctor and nurses attended to Olivia, Mom glared at me, but I didn't wait to speak to her as I rushed back to find out if Olivia was recovering in the emergency unit.

Shutting my eyes at the memory, I turned to face Daniel, knowing that he was a sour loser, and I demanded, "Does it matter if I am fùcking Olivia at home? After all, she's beautiful. So stay the fụck out of my business!"

Everyone's jaw dropped in shock, including Bryan Anderson. His expression soured because I knew that he liked Olivia too, but he never voiced his thoughts. His alpha pheromones thickened the atmosphere as I knew that he frequently visited me at home, but I found out his visits were not because of me, but to get a glimpse of Olivia.

I had caught Bryan stealing glances at Olivia too, but he couldn't admit to his feelings for her. After all, she was a wolfless omega. Also, Bryan is the next alpha of the Star Field Pack; his parents won't support him to pick a wolfless omega as his mate.

Bryan's younger sister, Ava, was in Olivia's class, but they weren't friends. So that held him back from chasing after my foster sister, and I am okay with it. I knew he cannot have a wolfless girl as his Luna, so that held him back from pursuing Olivia, but something in the way he looks at her made me uncomfortable and know that he desires her too.

Clearing his throat, Bryan snarled coldly, "Mark, how can you take advantage of Olivia? Did she agree to sleep with you, or did you force yourself on her?"

Laughing, as I saw their questioning gazes, their eyes peered at me disdainfully, but I replied with a smirk, "I have standards and don't force myself on women. Stay away from my sister. Whatever relationship I have with Olivia is my headache. After all, she is not related to me by blood."

The atmosphere in the room thickened as Coach Tyler already left us. I spun and left them, shutting the door behind me.

"Mark is damn crazy! How can he take advantage of that beautiful girl? Is it because she is an orphan? We heard her parents threw her out when she was born?" Caleb's voice resonated in the room, as I stood in the hallway preparing to leave for the hospital.

They were not happy that I admitted to being in a relationship with Olivia. She was not my blood sister, so I don't care what they had to say.

Logan growled in my head, "Let's not pay attention to them. The earlier we claim Olivia, the best to keep them away from her."

"You're right," I agreed with Logan, making my way out of the field where the basketball court was.

As I left the basketball court, I got into my red sports car. I drove off to the pack's hospital, hoping to see Olivia.

As I didn't want to arrive at the pack's hospital empty-handed, Logan advised me, "Let's get a present for her, Mark. What do you think Olivia will like?"

As I drove down the road path that leads to the pack's hospital, I caught sight of an eatery, and I was famished. I was supposed to join my teammates for lunch, but I didn't want to spend much time with them, knowing that I had pressing matters to take care of.

A smile curled up my lips, then I drove my car into the eatery grounds and parked it. As I got out of my car, I came across Ava Anderson and my younger sister, Emily.

"Hey, Mark!" Ava exclaimed, as she rushed up to envelop me in a warm hug. Her chest pressing against mine, and my wolf grimaced in disgust. Even as Ava was our Alpha's daughter, Logan didn't like her, as she was a cheap woman and had slept with many handsome guys in our pack.

I was her target, and I didn't want her, as her eyes shamelessly raked over me with clear desire. She bit her bottom lip as she moved away, running her left fingers through her long hair as she wore a yellow crop top and pink shorts, with pink shoes. She was stunning with lengthy blonde hair and blue enchanting eyes that glowed with so much lust in them.

However, Emily glared at me and looked away. She was still annoyed that I had picked on Olivia's side and protected Olivia against her and our mother. After all, Olivia was my sister too, even as I planned to court and date her now. I cannot seem to get her out of my mind, especially after I had run into her náked. That day, I cursed myself for not knocking and going into her room.

Olivia's POV:"Mark, where are you?" I heard Mr. Wren's voice boom over the call. He didn't appreciate me calling him Dad—a constant reminder that he was not my real father, even though he had adopted me alongside his wife."Dad, I am in the hospital," Mark replied, his voice calm as he ran a hand over his short black wavy hair."Why are you in the hospital? I hope it's not because of Olivia that you went there. Your mother spoke about Olivia waking up today," Mr. Wren asked, and Mark hummed."Yes, Dad. I had to come and check on Olivia because she is my sister, and I was the one who brought her to the hospital for admission," he said, as I finished my ice cream and licked my lips.Mark looked at me with his shining yellow eyes, and our gazes locked, but I swiftly lowered my head, feeling my heart thudding faster in my chest. Why do I feel this way? Why am I so uncomfortable around Mark?"Is there anything going on between you and Olivia, Mark? Why do you seem to care so much about he

Olivia's POV:I had woken up from my afternoon nap when the hospital room door swung open."Who is there?" I sat up on the bed, feeling a bit better after waking up from my sleep. My headache had also lessened. However, my eyes widened in shock when I saw Mark return to the room. His yellow eyes met my blue eyes, locking with them, and I became so nervous and lowered my head."Hi, how are you doing?" Mark asked, his voice soft as he walked up to the hospital bed to meet me.Before I could respond, the hospital room door burst open again, and Dr. Sam entered and peered at us."What do you want, Doctor?" Mark asked, before I could. His voice was laced with irritation as he peered at Dr. Sam's face coldly."I should be the one asking you, Mark. You came here uninvited, and I need to keep watch to ensure that you are not doing anything to harm my patient," Dr. Sam replied bluntly, and my eyes widened in shock."How can I hurt Olivia? She is my sister, and it's my duty to protect her!" Mar

Mark's POV:Olivia was absentmindedly dressing in her room, so I hurriedly slipped out after seeing her náked. Thankfully, she didn't participate in any pack's activity because she did not have a wolf. Also, she has never celebrated her birthday before, as we only assumed her age. Mom and Dad didn't know who Olivia's real parents were. Except for the fact that she was dumped in a basket in front of the pack's orphanage home.I felt a pressing desire to protect Olivia, to claim her as mine. And I believe maybe that was why my parents had adopted her.Looking away from Emily's stern face, I smiled at Ava and said, "I came to shop for my lunch.""That's fine, Mark. I'm sorry that I missed coming to watch your basketball game against the Red Ballers. I was busy in class and I couldn't miss it," she said, her hand reaching out to touch my chiseled chest as she bit her bottom lip seductively.Stepping away from Ava's touch, I replied, "It's nothing that you should worry about. It's just a f

Olivia's POV:The sound of Mark's phone ringing broke the awkward silence, and he said, "I have to go now, Olivia. Take care."Mark darted out of the room, and I breathed out heavily, feeling exhausted. A nurse arrived with a health worker who served me breakfast as I saw that it was past 11 a.m.It was a plate of custard and two bean cakes."How do you feel?" the female nurse asked me with a friendly smile on her pretty brown face, and I saw her resemblance to Dr. Sam. Also, she resembled Erica Robin, my schoolmate."I am fine," I said, my voice calm and she nodded with a smile, as she was tall, chubby, and had long brown thick hair. She packed it in a ponytail, wearing a white nurse cap on her head."Alright. Take care of yourself. I'm Nurse Hazel Owen. Dr. Sam's elder sister. I'm married with two kids," she introduced herself with a soft voice, and I could feel my heart flutter at her words."Nice to meet you, Nurse Hazel," I replied, peering at her beautiful face. As I wondered wh

  • Mated To My Obsessive Foster Brother   Chapter 3

Olivia's POV:I swear I saw the look of desire cross Mark's eyes, as his lips parted to say something, but the door to my hospital room burst open and my foster mother, Nancy George, walked in, accompanied by her daughter, Emily.Their eyes locked on Mark and me, who were so close together on my bed.Oh no! Not again, I pondered, as I could feel my heart beating loudly in my chest. To my shock, Nancy didn't scream at me like I had expected her to do. And I remember Dr. Sam's warning to Mark that he would have my foster mother arrested for my sake. But that didn't stop her from peering at me contemptuously."What's going on here, Mark? Why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the basketball field, preparing for your match for today?" asked Nancy, as she peered at her son angrily."Good morning, Mom. I already called my coach and he said the match will not start until 12 p.m. today," Mark replied with a calm voice, but his mother frowned."Mmm. So why are you here to check on Olivia? You s
