LOGIN(Mark's POV)
"Wait, Mark! Where are you rushing to? We want to have a little celebration party for winning against the Red Ballers, and yet you're in a hurry. Is there something that you're hiding from us?" Daniel asked, moving forward to meet me. His gaze was fixed on me as he smirked. I didn't like how Daniel phrased his questions. He drew the attention of our fans. "It's personal. And I do not need to tell you," I replied, my voice calm, my eyes meeting Daniel's gaze. He was angry because Olivia rejected his proposal to be his girlfriend before he settled for Emily. How was that my fault? "Don't lie to us, Mark?" Daniel yelled, his eyes shooting daggers at me. "If at all you want to lie, you should have a little respect for Alpha Bryan!" "Let him go, Daniel. I have no interest in what Mark wants to do. Since he said it's personal, you don't have to pick on him," Bryan interjected, his voice gentle and trying to settle the rift between Daniel and me. "Daniel, Bryan is right. You're just mad at Mark because his sister rejected you. How is it Mark's fault that you got rejected by Olivia? Stop being a sore loser!" Caleb shouted, picking my side. For some odd reason, I thought Caleb and his brothers shared a small resemblance to Olivia. But I was not sure if they were related to her. Moreover, they never had a sister. "Shut up, you three morons! I am not sour about Olivia's rejection. Fine, I admit that I got pissed off that she rejected me, but what's so special about her? She's a wolfless girl born on a moonless night. Who would want a wolfless girl like her? Huh?" Daniel yelled, making my fist clench. But I did not show my disgust. After all, he was Bryan's Beta. "Say whatever you like about Olivia if that will make you feel better. I am out of here," I replied, my voice cold as I turned and walked out of the basketball court. Daniel yelled out to me, "Mark! I heard from Emily that you're defending Olivia at home! Are you secretly sleeping with her? After all, she is your adopted sister. Who knows what you both are doing behind closed doors or why you suddenly seem to care about her now?" The hall dropped silent as everyone waited to hear my response. Indeed, I rushed home to take Olivia to the hospital after the housemaid Tracy contacted me and informed me that my mother had beaten Olivia and left her to die in the living room. Three days ago, I was at my new house trying to furnish it when I left everything and rushed back to my father's house. I saw Olivia lying lifeless on the ground. Mom had left for her work as a nurse at the pack's hospital. She didn't care to check on Olivia. No one was at home except for the housemaid, a middle-aged woman. As I rushed into the living room, I found Olivia and carried her in my arms. I took her straight to my red sports car and dropped her on the backseat. Then I hopped into my car, ignited it, and drove off to the pack's hospital. Upon my arrival at the pack's magnificent hospital, Mom saw me carry Olivia into the emergency unit. She was furious seeing me with Olivia, as she worked in the obstetrics unit. However, I came out while the doctor and nurses attended to Olivia and tried to stitch up her injury. Mom glared at me, but I didn't wait to speak to her as I rushed back to find out if Olivia was recovering in the emergency unit. Shutting my eyes at the painful memory, I turned to face Daniel, knowing that he was a sore loser, and I demanded, "Does it matter if I am fụcking Olivia at home? After all, she's beautiful. So stay out of my business!" Everyone's jaw dropped in shock, including Alpha Bryan. His expression darkened as I knew that he liked Olivia, but he never voiced his thoughts. His alpha pheromones thickened the atmosphere in the hall, and I knew that he frequently visited me at home. But I found out his visits were not because of me, but to get a glimpse of Olivia. I had caught Alpha Bryan stealing several glances at Olivia, but he could not admit to his feelings for her. Olivia was a wolfless omega, and Bryan is the next alpha of the Starfield Pack. His parents won't support him choosing a wolfless woman as his mate. Bryan's younger sister, Ava, was in Olivia's class, but they weren't friends. So that held him back from chasing after my adopted sister, and I am okay with it. I knew Bryan cannot have a wolfless woman as his Luna, so that held him back from pursuing Olivia. But something in the way he looked at her made me uncomfortable, and I knew that he desired her too. Clearing his throat, Bryan snarled at me, "Mark, how can you take advantage of Olivia? Did she agree to sleep with you, or did you force yourself on her?" "What?!" I laughed, seeing their questioning gazes. Their eyes peered at me disdainfully, but I replied with a steady and calm voice. "I have standards, and I don't force myself on women. Stay away from my adopted sister. Whatever relationship I have with Olivia is my business. After all, she is not related to me by blood." The atmosphere in the room thickened as Coach Tyler had already left us. I spun around and left them, shutting the door behind me. "Mark is damn crazy! How can he take advantage of that wolfless girl? Is it because she was an orphan? We heard her parents abandoned her when she was born?" Caleb's voice resonated in the basketball court as I stood in the hallway preparing to leave for the hospital. They were not happy that I admitted to being in a relationship with Olivia. She was not my blood sister, so I don't care what they had to say. Logan growled in my head, "Mark, let's not pay attention to them. The earlier we claim Olivia, the better to keep them away from her." "You're right," I agreed with Logan, making my way out of the building. As I left the basketball court, I got into my red sports car and drove off to the pack's hospital, anticipating seeing Olivia. As I did not want to arrive at the pack's hospital empty-handed, Logan advised me, "Mark, let's get a present for Olivia. What do you think she will like?" As I drove down the road that leads to the pack's hospital, I caught sight of a restaurant, and I was famished. I was supposed to join my teammates for lunch, but I did not want to spend much time with them, knowing that I had pressing matters to take care of. A smile curled up my lips, then I drove my car into the restaurant parking lot and parked it. When I got out of my car, I came across Ava Anderson and my younger sister, Emily. "Hey, Mark!" Ava exclaimed, and she rushed up to envelop me in a warm hug. Her chest pressed against mine, and my wolf grimaced in disgust. Even though Ava was our Alpha's daughter, Logan didn't like her because she was a cheap woman and had slept with many handsome guys in our pack. I was her new target, and I didn't want her attention as her eyes shamelessly raked over my body with clear desire. Ava bit her bottom lip as she moved away from me, running her left fingers through her long hair. She wore a yellow crop-top and pink shorts with pink shoes. She was stunning with enchanting yellow eyes that glowed with so much lust in them. However, Emily glared at me and looked away. She was still annoyed with me because I had picked Olivia's side and protected Olivia against her. After all, Olivia was my sister, even though I planned to date her now. I can't seem to get her out of my mind, especially after I had run into her naked. That day, I blamed myself for not knocking before going into her room.(Summer's POV)“So you didn’t miss me?” Christopher asked as I sat next to him in the large classroom.“I do,” I mumbled, my cheeks flushed.“Great. So what did you keep for me?” Christopher inquired. Before I could reply, our professor stepped in and resumed the lecture for the day.As the day rolled by, it was time for lunch. When I rose to leave my seat, I remembered and pulled out the invitation slip that I had personally saved for Christopher.“Chris, I know that we’re just getting to know each other, but here is an invitation to my banquet,” I said, holding out the slip toward him.Christopher was still sitting, writing some notes he had missed on the day he hadn’t shown up to class.“Oh, Summer. That’s thoughtful of you. My dad spoke to me about the banquet yesterday and how much it meant to your parents. They’ve missed you so much,” Christopher said, looking up at my face. I blushed.“Though my dad already brought two invitations for me and my brother, Enzo, I can’t refuse you
BRYAN:"Bryan, what the hell is Ava talking about?" Mom asked as I walked into the exquisite dining room to greet her."Good morning, Mom," I said with a sigh, trying to evade her question.Mom looked at me furiously. "Morning, but you haven’t answered my question.""Mom, I know you’ll be angry if you find out. That’s why I don’t want to mention it to you," I said, frustrated, as I sat down in the chair across from her.Mom leaned back in her dining chair, looked at my face, and asked, "Who is she?""Mom, let’s not talk about her," I said, glancing over at the maids and signaling one of them to serve me breakfast."Bryan, as your mother and your Luna, I demand to know who she is. How can you be so shameless as to lust after someone’s girlfriend?" Mom pointed out, her tone laced with anger. I lowered my head and avoided her gaze.I knew I deserved all the insults, but it wasn’t my fault. My wolf and I wanted Summer."Bryan, are you listening to me at all?" Mom growled. I raised my head
AVA:Mark peered at me in shock; even Mom was stunned by my attitude and shrieking.“Ava, what has gotten into you? Are you trying to make fun of Mark? There is no smell. What are you talking about?” Mom asked aloud as she glared at me.“Mom, Mark reeks of Summer’s smell,” I pointed out, anger flooding through my veins as Mark sniffed his own shirt to identify the irritating smell I was talking about. However, when he heard me mention Summer’s name, his expression softened as he smiled handsomely, making my heart race, and he admitted, “Summer was with me this morning. She came to visit last night and the rainfall was too much, so I advised her to stay back. That’s why I am bathed in her smell—I didn’t want to bathe or wash it off.”Mom’s jaw dropped, including mine. I could not imagine how insane Mark was to carry a woman’s scent on him. Also, to skip bathing so that he didn’t wash off Summer’s smell.Mom looked at Mark differently as she smiled and asked him, “Do you love Summer tha
AVA:When I woke up in my room, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and gasped, “Ah!” My belly tightened, making me perspire. In the meantime, I had been sensitive to some smells, some foods, and I knew that these were all the symptoms of the little pup.Damn it. Why can’t I have a quiet abortion? I murmured; all the abortion medicine had been banned and there was no way I could get rid of the baby.Every child’s life matters to my dad—unless the mother’s health was in danger, then he could approve the termination of the pregnancy. My fist clenched as I wanted to punch the little pup away from my belly, but that would be too extreme.Sighing, I moved to the bathroom to soak myself in a large bathtub of warm water. The weather was cool, and I didn’t want to go to the university. Because I had spent so much time sleeping the previous day in the classroom, the majority of the students were beginning to look at me differently.I had to lay low and keep to myself for now, before the news o
SUMMER:The next morning, I woke up in bed and found myself lying close to Mark. He lay shirtless on the bed, and my hand rested around his waist as I snuggled beside him.Smiling, I shifted on the bed and stared at his attractive features for a while. His chest rose and fell heavily.Checking the wall clock, I saw that it was after 6 a.m. So I carefully got out of bed to avoid waking Mark. Then I made my way into the bathroom to bathe.I couldn’t believe that I was back here and that I had spent a night with Mark. Well, knowing that I had to focus on my studies, I quickly stripped off the dress and got into the shower. After bathing, I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my chest. When I walked back into the room, Mark was not there—the bed was empty—but he had arranged it to look neat.I moved into the closet to find a dress to wear. My mind bugged me to purchase some new dresses and bring them over to Mark’s place, as it was mostly my old clothes that were stuck in
BRYAN:I could not believe my eyes that Summer was here with Mark. No wonder he wasn’t even planning to apologize to my sister or return to the game to join us for the basketball training ahead of the tournament game we have this coming Saturday.I watched Summer boldly walk up to meet Mark, call him babe, embrace him, and kiss him on his left cheek in my presence. My fist clenched at the sight of them. But I didn’t say anything other than watch her figure hurry upstairs.“What brings you here, Alpha Bryan?” Mark asked, finally shifting his face back to me. His lips curled into a smirk to show me that he had claimed Summer—the girl that I wanted—and there was nothing I could do. I was the Alpha. I had to stand there and watch him do whatever he liked. I could have had the privilege to sue Mark, but I confirmed his report that Wren already sent Summer away. So technically, Olivia was a free bird, and now she has reunited with her family.Clearing my throat to put my anger away, I fixed
MARK: I had wrapped up with the last art piece that I had in my study. Knowing that Summer was coming over to visit me, I swiftly rushed to arrange the house, cleaning everywhere as I had been busy. Though the woman I hired to clean it showed up twice a week, I still ensured that I arranged everyth
SUMMER: When it was closing hour, and after the last lecture came to an end, Rita called out to me, "Summer, wait." I paused and glanced over at Rita, watching her run up to meet me. "Did you call Christopher to find out where he is?" She asked, and I shook my head. "No. I did not call him, sinc
SUMMER: When Rita and I walked away from Ava and Emily, I could feel my heart throbbing because I hadn't expected Rita to stand up for me. My heart was racing louder in my chest, knowing that Ava was an Alpha wolf and no one dared to provoke her. I could feel Ava's disdain for me. Her eyes narrowe
AVA: Seeing Rita take Summer's side made my blood boil as I watched them stride downstairs. Unable to hide my anger, I warned Emily to be careful of Summer. "What do you think made Rita close to Summer? Is it because they are in the same class now? Just barely one day, and Rita has fallen for Sum
