LOGINOlivia's POV
I woke up from my afternoon nap when the hospital room door swung open. "Who is there?" I sat up on the bed, feeling a bit better after waking up. My headache had also lessened. However, my eyes widened in shock when Mark returned to the room. His yellow eyes met my blue eyes, locking with them, and I became so nervous I lowered my head. "Hi, how are you doing?" Mark asked, his voice soft as he walked up to the hospital bed to meet me. Before I could respond, the hospital room door burst open again, and Dr. Sam entered and peered at us. "What do you want, Doctor Sam?" Mark asked before I could. His voice was laced with irritation as he peered coldly at Dr. Sam's face. "Mark, I should be the one asking you? You came here uninvited, and I need to keep watch to ensure that you are not doing anything to harm my patient," Dr. Sam replied ruthlessly, and my eyes widened in shock. "How can I hurt Olivia? She is my sister, and it's my duty to protect her!" Mark said protectively, and my eyes widened in shock at his possessiveness. Dr. Sam scoffed, "Mark, you and Olivia are not siblings. So don't act like you care!" Mark gritted his teeth, wanting to retaliate, and I quickly chimed in, "Brother Mark, please, just calm down." Mark's gaze shifted to meet mine. His expression was cold, clearly not liking how Dr. Sam was interrupting him. "Dr. Sam, is there anything the matter?" I asked, shifting my gaze to Dr. Sam, as I couldn't remember asking for him. "Nothing, Olivia. I just want to be sure that you are in a good state," Dr. Sam replied, his voice soft, while I smiled at him. "I am fine," I said with a nervous voice as Mark walked up to the bed to meet me. He set down the packaged meal he brought, clearly ignoring Dr. Sam, as he said, "I brought your dinner. Have you eaten?" My cheeks flushed hearing Mark's inquiry. I didn't know why I was so nervous around him. I didn't use to act like this before. So I shook my head and replied, "I haven't." "Good. We'll have dinner together then," Mark said, his voice soft as he set up the meal. Dr. Sam looked at us and saw that Mark was not going to leave soon. He looked at me and said, "Olivia, if you need anything, don't forget to ring the nurse bell closer to your bed." "Okay, Doctor," I replied, lowering my head. As Dr. Sam walked toward the exit door and pulled it open, he glanced back at Mark, who was busy opening the food he had brought. He said, "Mark, do not forget that the hospital has surveillance cameras." "I am aware, Samuel. Do not waste your time with such pointless reminders," Mark replied, his tone relaxed as he set up the meal before me. When Dr. Sam left, Mark stood beside my bed and looked at me. I could feel his gaze crawling over my skin, and it made me uncomfortable. He was supposed to be my adopted brother. So why was he looking at me with desire, like a hungry wolf wanting to devour a meal? "I wouldn't hurt you if that's why you are acting nervous around me," Mark said, his masculine scent filling my nostrils, and I nodded. The rain was thrashing against the window, and Mark went to close it as we were left alone in the hospital room. His wild mushroom scent filled my nostrils as he returned to stand next to my bed. "I bought your dinner, but I don't know if you will like it," Mark said softly as he pulled out the package of food for me. His hand reached for the ice cream package, and my eyes widened in shock. *Why was he buying ice cream for me?* My heart raced, but I didn't want to dwell on it. "Thank you," I said once Mark pulled off the ice cream cover. The delicious vanilla scent filled my nostrils, and my tongue and throat salivated. "Do you want me to feed you?" Mark asked, his voice soft as his hand reached for the spoon to take it from my ice cream cup. "No… why should you do that?" I asked him, my cheeks flushed at his closeness. Mark looked at me in a way that sent shivers down my spine as he demanded with a gentle voice, "Why shouldn't I feed you? I do not want you to be scared of me or angry with me because of what my mother did to put you in this condition." My eyes welled up with tears, but I didn't want to spoil the ambiance in the room. "It's fine. I hold no grudge against your mother," I said as my hand reached for the spoon. I scooped a spoonful of the ice cream and licked it. I looked at Mark, seeing him gulp as his eyes glowed with desire, and I immediately looked away from his handsome face. I knew that Mark had so many girlfriends, so I swiftly waved any unthinkable ideas about him out of my head. Mark was only doing this to make me forgive his family and not move over to Dr. Sam's house, I reasoned. "Do you like the ice cream? I didn't know if it was your favorite, but I assumed that vanilla ice cream is most women's favorite," Mark said, his voice soft, but my smile and admiration for him faded. "Yeah, you have so many girlfriends. How could you not know?" I replied, and Mark grinned as he moved near my bed. "Do I smell jealousy? Who told you that I have many girlfriends?" He asked, his eyes watching me with interest, and it made my skin crawl again. I wasn't used to Mark caring for me. "But you have many girlfriends," I replied, looking at his face in a challenging manner. "No," Mark drew near my face, and he used his right finger to wipe the ice cream off my lips, then licked his finger. My eyes widened in shock at his actions, as it felt like he had already kissed me by touching my lips and licking his finger. "I…" I couldn't say the word or meet his eyes. *What had come over Mark?* I pondered. Before Mark could say another word, I wanted him to leave me alone because I wasn't used to this part of him. I didn't know what had gotten into him. *Did Mark wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?* Earlier, I had wondered why he defended me. And now, he is acting like I am his girlfriend. *Wait, does Mark have feelings for me?* As I wanted to send him away so that I could eat my food in peace and think about my life, his phone rang—it was a call from his father. "Excuse me, Olivia, I will join you soon," Mark said as he moved away from me to answer his call. I breathed out heavily as his masculine scent of wild mushrooms faded from my nostrils. Quickly, I grasped the ice cream spoon and scooped it faster, before Mark could finish his call. He stood a short distance away from my bed.Summer's POVWhen I moved to enter the basketball court, I spotted Ava's car arrive, as a long, luxurious bus pulled up too. Inside the bus were basketball players from the Bright Star Pack.Grinning, I glanced away and moved towards the entrance. Little by little, they stepped in, until the game was about to start.I watched our Starfield Pack players arrive. They filled the stage. The game began, and the referee blew the whistle. When I looked over at the players playing, I didn't see Mark among them. My heart slammed against my rib cage as I watched the Starfield Pack players dribbling and passing the ball. The Bright Star players were fierce. A guy named Max grasped ho
Summer’s POV:As I perched on the silver chair in the dining room and ate my breakfast with my family, it consisted of a cup of tea paired with four slices of bread.“You need to eat more, Summer. You need to gain weight,” Caleb said, as he sat next to me in the chair. He picked another slice of bread and added it to my plate.“Maybe the food is not her favorite. Summer, do you want us to change the diet and add any meals to your menu?” Mom asked, her tone sounding soft, as her eyes met mine.“No, the food is enough. I do not have a favorite meal,” I replied calmly.Cooper grinned and said, “Then we can hire a nutritionist to help Summer improve her diet.”“Let her eat more fruit. She will look better,” Carter said, as he sat next to Cooper at the table.“Alright. We should hurry up after winning the match. I will take Summer to the fruit market to get her more fruits. Which is your favorite?” Caleb inquired, as he picked up his cup and sipped his tea. Finishing it, he set the cup on
Summer's POV:The week rolled by and Saturday arrived. I did not want to leave my room, as I lay on the bed.I felt sick, so I pulled the bedsheets over myself properly.Just then, the intense knocking on the door rattled me as I lay on the bed.I lazily got out of bed and went to pull the door open. I wore a white nightdress that fell past my knees.“What the hell, sis! You look a mess!” Caleb exclaimed, as it was already 8 a.m., but I was still feeling sleepy.“Good morning, brother,” I greeted him with a grumble.“What is wrong? Did Mark do anything to offend you?” Caleb asked, his voice serious as he took a step into the room. Before I could react, he checked my body temperature, but I replied, “Mark did not do anything. I am just not feeling fine.”Caleb scowled and asked, “Should we visit the pack’s hospital?” His voice was thick with concern for me, but I stopped him.“No need. You guys have games to play today, so I will get ready.”I was aware that the game was going to kick
Ava's POV.When I drove to the omega district of our pack, my stomach churned violently. My palms tightened around the steering wheel."Mate!" My wolf growled, urging me toward the mate bond.Gritting my teeth, I parked my car along the roadside. This was not the first time since I found out I was pregnant by Wren. My desire spiked, and I stayed constantly aroused."Damn it. What do I do?" I groaned in my car."Ava, are you alright?" Justin mindlinked me, and I retorted, "I am not. I told you we should find time to reject each other. I cannot accept you.""Don't say that. If you do not want me, who will you accept? An alpha cannot reject their mate, remember. You need me. I can smell your heat," he said, his voice teasing."Shut up!" I growled at him and shut him out, but he mindlinked me again."I saw you drive to that rural area. We can meet up if you want," he ordered. It tempted me, but I didn't want to get caught. If Bryan or my dad found out I was mated to Justin, they would for
Summer's POV:"Summer, you look radiant," Cooper teased me as he watched me stride back into the living room, holding the flowers.Mom's gaze landed on me. Seeing the bouquet of lavender flowers in my hands, her brows furrowed. "Who brought the flowers? Was Mark here?" Mom asked, trying to keep a neutral expression."Yes," I replied, quickly moving to the stairs."Good night, everyone," I dashed and went back to my room, as I didn't want to get any form of scolding from them. Though my brothers had no issues with Mark, I didn't want to stand there and watch my mother ruin my mood. When I entered my bedroom, my hand reached for the knob and I shut the door behind me. I moved to the drawer closer to my bed and carefully placed the bouquet of lavender flowers there. The sweet scent hung heavily in my room, and I giggled at the recollection of hugging Mark.A knock on my door startled me, and I quickly stepped away from the flowers as I rushed over to the door to find out who was there. W
Summer's POV:After my dinner with Mom, I decided to go outside for a stroll. When I rose to my feet to leave the house, Mom studied my face and asked, "Summer, are you sure that you are alright? Or has Mark broken up with you? Did he cheat on you?""No," I quickly denied. "He didn't cheat on me," I said, my voice shaky.Mom studied my face as a heavy silence descended in the living room. "It's fine. Just know that if I found out that Mark is cheating on you, he will never be welcomed into this house."I gulped heavily and nodded. "Got it, Mom. I want to take a stroll outside," I said, and she nodded.I walked out of the door, my heart racing loudly against my rib cage, my hands holding my phone as I checked if Mark had called me. Yet, no calls. The moon rose gradually above the sky, as the time struck 7:30 pm.Just as I took a stroll around the lush gardens that surrounded my father's magnificent home, the smell of the flowering plants filled the air, and my eyes darted to the lavend
Olivia's POV:"What? Mark cannot be arrested?" I said, as I swiftly came forward to block the two guards from arresting Mark."Relax, Olivia. This has nothing to do with you," Mark spoke to me softly, despite his aura was cold and chilling. He found a way to speak to me in that soft tone."No, Mark
Ava's POV:When I got out of my red car, I took a deep breath and went to the Pharmacy. As usual, they bowed at my entrance."Welcome, Alpha," the lady behind the counter welcomed me, and I took a deep breath."I am here for a pack of pads, and also, pregnancy test kits and don't mention this to an
Ava's POV:My jaw was hanging open when I heard what Justin said. He hugged me firmly, pressing my chest against him. His pinewood scent filled me and made me feel comfortable. I had missed him too, but if I accept this, I will lose Mark to Olivia. That bìtch. She doesn't deserve a star player like
Ava's POV:Will I want Justin to become my mate again? No way. I want Mark. I wanted to have a taste of Mark's dïck. I reasoned as I wanted Mark George. He was hot, taller than Justin. He had the most amazing smile that captivated my heart."Ava!" Justin growled at me, his hands grabbing my arms as
