Mag-log in(Olivia's POV)
I had woken up from my afternoon nap when the hospital room door swung open. "Who is there?" I sat up on the bed, feeling a bit better after waking up from my sleep. My headache had also lessened. However, my eyes widened in shock when Mark returned to the room. His yellow eyes met my blue eyes, locking with them, and I became so nervous I lowered my head. "Hi, how are you doing?" Mark asked, his voice soft as he walked up to the hospital bed to meet me. Before I could respond, the hospital room door swung open, and Dr. Sam entered and peered at us. "What do you want, Doctor?" Mark asked before I could. His voice laced with irritation as he peered at Dr. Sam's face coldly. "I should be the one asking you, Mark. You came here uninvited, and I need to keep watch to ensure that you are not doing anything to harm my patient," Dr. Sam replied coldly, and my eyes widened in shock. "How can I hurt Olivia? She is my sister, and it's my duty to protect her!" Mark replied sternly, and my eyes widened in shock to see him possessive of me. Dr. Sam scoffed, "Mark, you and Olivia are not siblings, so don't act like you care!" "Hmm." Mark gritted his teeth, wanting to retaliate, and I quickly chimed in, "Brother Mark, please, just calm down." Mark's gaze shifted to meet mine. His expression was cold, clearly not liking how Dr. Sam was interrupting him. "Dr. Sam, is there anything the matter?" I asked, shifting my gaze to Dr. Sam, as I couldn't remember asking for him. "Nothing, Olivia. Actually I just want to be sure that you are in good condition," Dr. Sam said, his voice soft, while I smiled at him. "I am fine, Doctor," I replied with a nervous voice as Mark walked up to the bed to meet me. He set down the packaged meal that he brought, clearly ignoring Dr. Sam, as he said, "I brought your dinner. Have you eaten?" My cheeks flushed red hearing Mark's inquiry. I did not know why I was so nervous around him. I didn't use to act like this before. So I shook my head and replied, "I haven't." "Good. We'll have our dinner together then," Mark said, his voice soft as his hand set up the meal. Dr. Sam looked at us and, seeing that Mark was not going to leave soon, he looked at me and said, "Olivia, if you need anything, don't forget to ring the nurse bell closer to your bed." "Okay, Doctor," I replied, lowering my head. As Dr. Sam walked toward the door and pulled it open, he glanced back at Mark, who was busy opening the food that he brought. He said, "Mark, do not forget that the hospital has surveillance cameras." "I am aware, Doctor Sam. Do not waste your time with such pointless reminders," Mark replied, his tone relaxed as he set up the meal before me. When Dr. Sam left, Mark stood beside my bed and looked at my face. I could feel his gaze crawling over my skin, and it made me uncomfortable. He was supposed to be my brother, so why was he looking at me with desire, like he was a hungry wolf wanting to devour a meal? "I wouldn't hurt you if that's why you are acting nervous around me," he said, his lemonade scent filling my nostrils, and I nodded. The heavy rain thrashed over the window, and Mark went to close it as we were left alone in this hospital room. His masculine scent filled my nostrils as he returned back to stand next to my bed. "I bought your dinner, but I don't know if you will like it," he said softly as he pulled the package of food for me. His hand reached for the ice cream pack, and my eyes widened in shock. *Why was he buying ice cream for me?* My heart raced, but I didn't want to dwell on it. "Thank you," I said after Mark pulled the ice cream cover for me. The delicious vanilla scent filled my nostrils, and my tongue and throat salivated. "Do you want me to feed you?" He asked, his voice soft as his hand reached for the spoon to take it out of my ice cream plate to feed me. "No… why should you do that?" I asked him, my cheeks flushed at his closeness. Mark looked at me in a way that sent shivers down my spine as he demanded with a gentle voice, "Why shouldn't I feed you? I do not want you to be scared of me or angry with me because of what my mother did to put you in this condition." My eyes welled up in tears, but I didn't want to spoil the ambiance in the room. "It's fine. I hold no grudge against your mother," I said as my hand reached for the spoon. I scooped a spoonful of the ice cream and licked it. I looked at Mark, seeing him gulp, his eyes glowed with desire, and I immediately looked away from his handsome face. I knew that Mark had so many girlfriends, so I swiftly waved any form of unthinkable idea about him away from my head. He was only doing this to make me forgive his family and not move over to Dr. Sam's house, I reasoned. "Do you like the ice cream? I didn't know if it was your favorite, but I assumed that vanilla ice cream is most women's favorite," he said, his voice soft, but my smile and admiration for him faded. "Yeah, you have so many girlfriends. How can't you know?" I said, and Mark grinned as he moved nearer my bed. "Do I smell jealousy? Who told you that I have many girlfriends?" He asked, his eyes watching me with interest, and it made my skin crawl again, as I wasn't used to Mark caring for me. "But, you have many girlfriends," I replied, looking at his face in a challenging stance. "No," Mark drew near my face, and he used his right finger to wipe the ice cream off my lips and licked it. My eyes widened in shock at his actions, as it felt like he already kissed me from touching my lips and licking his hand. "I…" I couldn't say the word or meet his face. *What has come over him?* I pondered, and before Mark could say another word, as I wanted him to leave me alone because I wasn't used to this part of him, I didn't know what has gotten into him. Did Mark wake up on the wrong side of his bed today? The other time, I had wondered why he defended me, and now, he is acting like I am his girlfriend. Wait, does Mark have feelings for me? As I wanted to send him away so that I can eat my food in peace and think about my life, his phone rang, and it was an incoming call from his father. "Excuse me, Olivia, I will join you soon," Mark said as he moved away from me to answer his call. I breathed down heavily as his lemonade scent faded away from my nostrils. Quickly, I grasped the ice cream spoon and ate it faster before Mark would finish his call, as he answered the call in the room. He stood a few distances away from my bed.(Mark's POV)I had finished painting some of the client works that I had pending on my laptop, based on client requests, when Caleb mind-linked me that he was coming over to my house with Olivia.Swiftly, I left everything I was doing and rushed out of the house to welcome them.Although my father had mind-linked me too, and invited me home for us to discuss Emily's mate bond with Carter and how we can reach out to Carter, as Emily was unhappy and crying.Well, as much as I like my sister, I couldn't trade my own happiness for her to be happy. So I haven't agreed to visit him yet. But hearing that Olivia was coming over to my house made me overjoyed. As the security man pulled the gate open, I walked out to welcome them and enveloped Olivia in a warm hug after she returned back.Allowing her to go home wasn't what I wanted, but I couldn't stop her from reuniting with her family. After all, I knew how much it meant to her."How is home? Why did you bring her back? Is she going to live
Olivia's POV:After dinner with my parents ended at the table, I picked up the napkin to wipe my lips clean."Thanks, Mom and Dad," I said with a smile, recalling that Nancy and her husband had barred me from eating at the dining table with them or even calling them Dad and Mom."You're welcome, Summer," my parents said, calling me by my real name."Don't worry. Once Caleb is done, he will escort you to Mark's house to get your stuff, okay?" my dad said, to which I smiled and rose to my feet."Alright. I would like to use the washroom," I said with a soft voice, as I excused myself from the dining table.I made my way upstairs and went back to my room, and I went to the bathroom to use it. The room was neat, including the washroom. When I was done, I got out and met my mother in the room.I smiled, walking up to meet her, as I had dried my hands with a tissue in the washroom."How was life growing up with the George's family? Although I am not happy that you chose to be with Mark," Mo
Olivia's POVWalking into the living room of the magnificent mansion, I gasped at the grand stairs and interior decoration. The mansion was more stunning than Mark's home or Mr. and Mrs. George's home."You're welcome home, Summer. This is your home too," my family said, as they all smiled at me.Tears welled up in my eyes as I could not believe that this was my real family. It all felt like a dream, but it wasn't.Taking a glance around the grand living room, I peered at the artistic painting on the wall.I saw a similar artistic image, but with different clothes, of the baby drawn on the wall.So if Mark hadn't drawn this baby portrait in his house, I wouldn't have reunited with my real family. I knew that I owed Mark a lot, and my heart fluttered at these few days that I had spent with him.I hadn't gotten more time to spend with him. I would have loved to know more about him."Welcome home, my daughter. I know that you're finding this hard to believe, but you saw the DNA test, and
Olivia's POV:Arriving at the impressive mansion, I watched Caleb drive his black sports car skillfully into the mansion grounds and parked it."Welcome home, sister," he said, as he turned off his car and my heart swelled up with joy and warmth."Thank you," I said, as I blushed before unfastening my seatbelt."Wait, let me help you with that," Caleb said, as he stopped me from opening the car door by myself.Getting out of the car, Caleb walked over to the other side and pulled the car door open for me to get out like a princess.Smiling, I got out of the car, while I watched my two other brothers' cars arrive as they drove in skillfully into the mansion and parked."Welcome home, sister," my brothers said, as they got out of the car, and helped our parents to get out of their cars too.A group of happy people were standing at the front of the mansion and most of the domestic staff were males which surprised me."Welcome to our home, Olivia. This is where we have lived and I think y
Mark's POV:I was happy for Olivia, seeing her reunite with her family. I wasn't expecting the DNA test to prove positive, although I had a feeling that Olivia was probably Caleb's sister. Their resemblance and also, with the fact that Mrs. Grayson had said that her baby had a star birthmark on her back. "Mark, what's going on? Why did the Graysons take Olivia away? Is she really their sister?" Mom asked as she walked up to meet me at the front of the hospital building while I waved goodbye to Olivia. I wanted to go with her to the Graysons' mansion, but I decided for her to bond with her family first. Then we can get back together and continue with our relationship. But will they even allow me to have Olivia? I missed my time with her and honestly didn't want to let Olivia go, but I trust that she won't cheat on me. Even as a man, I was shedding tears at watching her reunite with her family. "Mark!" Mom yelled my name, and only then did I take notice of my sister who had arrived w
Olivia's POV:Walking into Dr. Sam's office, I was perspiring as I followed Mark, who held my hand and whispered in my ear."Relax, babe; I believe the test will be positive," he said, his voice cool against my ear.How could I relax when I had been found in a basket and adopted into a family who didn't like me?"Here, have a seat," Dr. Sam said, noticing our anxiety and delaying us slightly.I watched Mr. and Mrs. Grayson sit down first, while Mark and I stood, even though there were two additional guest chairs on the side. Dr. Sam's office was spacious, and the air conditioning unit helped calm my racing heart.Clearing his throat, Dr. Sam smiled and said, "This DNA test result hasn't been tampered with. It was clinically tested and proven correct by our DNA lab expert, who drew samples of your blood and consulted the paternity test. Well, I'll present the two copies—one to you, Olivia George, and the other to Mr. and Mrs. Grayson. You can go ahead and check it out."Dr. Sam said th
