Chapter 6

AMBER’S POV

I was dreading that moment when they would call me at any time. The room they had given me was nice and comfy, but they were the triple terror. Who knows what they had in store for me?

I also found it hard to sleep for two reasons which were, I was in a place where I wasn’t familiar with and then I was living with the opposite sex. Anyways, nothing was bound to happen as they had no regard or feelings for me.

In the middle of the night, I heard a knock on the door and I wondered who it could be.

“Who is there?” I asked as I held my duvet, tight, to myself.

“I still have to answer that, in my house?”

It was one of the triplets, but I couldn’t tell who it was, just by his voice alone, so I stood up and opened the door. It was Aramis.

“I’m sorry. I…I guess I am used to it.” I stuttered, without maintaining eye contact with him.

“I need a cup of coffee. I have work to do and I am feeling sleepy.” He said, without an expression on his face.

“Oh, alright.”

It was a bit annoying as he had disturbed me just for a cup of coffee which he could make by himself, but I already knew that there was going to be no peace or rest in this house.

“Do you want it thick or light?”

“I want it thick.”

It was much better as I asked, because if I had made the one he didn’t want, it would have been a big mistake, which I wanted to avoid at all cost. After I was done with it, I was about to go back to my room when he called me back.

“I haven’t told you to leave and you want to?”

“I’m sorry. I thought that…”

“Enough! You can not leave until I am done with this.” He said, looking at me, with a serious expression.

I had no choice than to stay still, staring into mid-air, because there was nothing I could do. After for what seemed like two hours, he dismissed me and I went to my room and fell asleep, immediately.

It was morning and I went downstairs to clean the sitting room, I also cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes while they were still certainly asleep, upstairs, in their room. Then I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door and behold, it was a gorgeous lady, right before me, staring at me in confusion.

“Good morning. May I know who you are, please?” I asked, still admiring her beauty, but not showing it.

“I am Diana, a friend of your masters. I guess you must be the maid.” She scoffed, then walked in as she bumped into my shoulders, without apologizing.

The admiration I had for her went off instantly as she looked like those spoilt brats who had no respect or regard for anyone. Then she sat on the couch and crossed her legs.

“What do you serve anyone who just came back from a journey?” She asked, looking at me like I was lowly.

“Uhm… I just got here. I am new.”

“Oh, goodness. Do you not understand English, anymore? I asked what do you serve anyone when they just came back from a journey? What can you serve me to help me chill!” She shouted at me and her hair scattered.

I was taken aback and my heart raced, because I never expected her to react that way. Then I heard footsteps, it was Aramis and Joey who were coming down the stairs.

“Whoa! Diana! You are here.” Joey exclaimed, with a smile on his face and then he hugged her.

“Goodness. Joey, you’ve changed.” She smiled happily as she hugged him, then she moved to Aramis and hugged him too.

It seemed as if the Triple Terror had changed, within the last few years. I never expected them to be this close with anyone. I mean, their friends are always being ordered around by them, so more like they had slaves, not friends.

“Heard you shouting. What got you angry?” Aramis asked, with his right hand in his pocket.

“Well, your maid did. She doesn’t understand a word I say. I asked her to get me something, but she didn’t budge.” She said, looking at me disgustingly.

“What! Th…that’s not true.” I shook my head, with my eyes, bulged out.

Then a hand from nowhere, held my throat and pinned me to the wall. It was Brandon, he was staring at me, coldly.

“Never ever in your disgusting life, should you disrespect her. The day I hear of this nonsense, your throat will say hello to my claws.” He threatened as his claws came out and pierced my neck a little, causing blood to trickle down my chest.

My heart was beating madly and uncontrollably. I was frightened and there was no one that could help me here, if Brandon decided to take my life.

“I…I am sorry.” I managed to speak, then he withdrew his hand from me and I coughed out, seriously.

I could see the smile on Diana’s face. She was evil and she looked like she would torment me all she wanted. That was when I was convinced that I was really in for doom. The three of them sat on the couch with her and were discussing and laughing. I knew that it was better to serve them something to eat, as that would be needed and I would avoid any insult or whatever they could do to me.

I went to the kitchen, with tears, strolling down my cheeks and I began to prepare toast for them and when I was done, I took pineapple juice, poured it into a jug and served them in their glass cups.

“Later in the afternoon, I’ll be going for shopping. I hope you do not mind If I borrow your maid?” She asked, with a smile on her face.

“Sure, you can.” Joey said, with a smile.

“How was studies in France?” Aramis asked as he sipped his juice.

I was in my room, staring at the wall when someone knocked and the door opened. It was Diana, smiling at me.

“I just wanted to give you a hint of what you are going to go through, in this house and while I am here.”

I looked at her, with fear of what was up her sleeves.

“It’s hell. Get ready for hell, Amber.” She said as she laughed hysterically.
