Mated To My Unwanted Alpha

Chapter 1

    Alexa POV

    It's finally the day I'm going to be mated to the Alpha of Crescent Pack, but yet, I'm not happy about it. This is what will be the dream of every werewolf, but my case is different. 

    It has always been my dream to be mated to the man I love, but in the case of my supposed fated mate, I don't even feel anything toward him. Sometimes, I ask myself if this is not just some lies that were made up to tie me to him, but then, who am I to be so worthy of being tied to him? A nobody that the moon goddess favored enough to grant me a second chance, it's crazy how I still dare to complain about it. I'm sure the moon goddess would think that I'm not grateful enough.

    Just two weeks ago, I lost everything my father has worked so hard all his life for. The Pack that was supposed to be mine after the death of my father, and the properties, but my very own people betrayed and took everything away from me, leaving me stranded.

    In Grey wood Pack where I come from, it has always been a rule that the first child of the Alpha takes over the throne after his death, regardless of the gender of the child. I had always thought that my case would be the same, but I was betrayed. 

    At first, they didn't want to make me the female Alpha of the pack because they believe that I was weak, just because my wolf isn't active yet. You can imagine the pain of a twenty-three years old werewolf, born by two strong werewolves, and yet have no wolf, right?

    As if that was not enough, my uncle, whom I trusted so much, framed me up and made me look like a bad person in the eyes of my little brother, who grew up loving and protecting me. I thought that I was going to die in that prison, sleeping and waking in there with the cold floor hugging me every minute, and messing with my bones, I thought it was not going to ever be over for me, but here I am today. 

    Three days after I was imprisoned in the pack, my little brother who was now under the influence of my uncle, never cease maltreating me. I finally managed to escape from the prison one night, but my fate was twisted, and I wouldn't have been here today, if not for the guards of Crescent Pack, that were importing slaves that night, and thought that I was one of them. They brought me here to meet my fate of being the Alpha's mate.

    "My lady, we are done," One of the maids that have been dressing me up breaks the silence that assumed the room since they began, and I finally open my eyes to look at my reflection. Staring into my eyes, all I can see is pain and the thirst for vengeance. I'm never going to spare my uncle and the people that supported him. I will gain more power, and when I do, I will make every one of them pay for the pain I have been through.

    'Axel' tears almost stream down my cheeks as that name echo in my head. I wonder how my innocent brother is doing now. Although we were not on good terms before I left the pack, but I want nothing, but for him to be safe. I just hope he would hang in there and wait till I come back and expose the evil deeds of uncle Gaius.

    "You may leave now," I dismiss the maids, leaving only my personal maid, Lena, inside the room with me. 

    "The Alpha must be waiting for you at the Pack hall now, we should go meet him," Lena utters as she bows her head, and I slowly nod my head.

    Finally, we stride out of the room, heading to the Pack hall, where the mating ceremony is going to be hosted.

    Stepping into the large building a few minutes later, the werewolves keep applauding and cheering on my presence. I wish I can be as happy as they are now, but too bad that I can't. Although my parents are not alive to see me be with a man, but at least I wanted my only brother and the only family I have, to have witnessed this, but my fate has already been written, and can never be changed.

    Holding my hand, Lena leads me toward the throne, where the Alpha is already standing with a smile dancing on his lips. He looks extremely happy when there's no need to be. I mean, he barely knows me, and I wonder how he is comfortable being with someone he doesn't even know anything about. Well, when he asked about my background, I told him that I was just an omega that was sold as a slave. I couldn't have told him the truth about my identity, knowing it'll put me in trouble, right?

    As he finally holds my hand, all I feel is emptiness inside me.

    "Today, I present to you, the Luna of Crescent Pack, and my mate, Alexa Greystone," He utters as he holds my hand up in the air, and the crowd cheers uncontrollably.

    "Long live, Alpha Kai, long live my lady," They all cheer excitedly.

    The party begins afterward. Everyone drinks and eats to their satisfaction, and although it felt like the party would never come to an end, but it finally did and I can't be less happy because I'm already tired of this whole thing.

    After the ceremony, a few maids escort me to the Alpha's supposed chamber, while he is still at the Pack hall, and discussing with a few of the guests whom I presume to be his friends.

    The maids finally leave the room a few minutes later, after they help me remove my clothes, leaving me alone in the room.

    Barely five minutes after the maids left the room, a knock sound on the door, and I tilt my head swiftly toward the closed door.

    "Alpha Kai," His voice sounds from outside, and my heart sinks into my stomach as I spring up to my feet...
