The girls woke up to the ringing of Nahla’s phone, they knew it was their mother calling to wish Nahla a Happy Birthday. “Good morning Mom”, Nahla says in her sleepy voice.

“Happy Birthday baby!” Cora screams. “Thank you mom, the ring is so beautiful, I love it so much”, she smiled as she looked at her Moon ring. “Anything for you baby, now have either of you found your mate yet?” her Mom questioned. “Mom I just turned of age, so no I have not and if I do at the Ball later tonight you will be the first to know”, she promised as she laughed.

“We're not getting any younger, we need little guppies running around here soon!” she hears her dad Glan shouting in the background. “You hush and let our daughter enjoy finding him first,” laughed her mom shaking her head at her husband. “I have to get ready now, love you guys, bye,” Nahla said quickly and hung up the phone.

Selene looks over and sees her sister blushing, she heard what their dad said with her sonar hearing. She giggles because they said the same thing to her a few days ago. Nahla throws a pillow at her sister for laughing at her, which led the girls to having a morning pillow fight.

Goose feathers were all over their room and hair. They only stopped when Mira walked in to help them get ready. Once they realized the mess they made and how ridiculous they looked, all three women burst into laughter.

“We’re sorry we made a mess”, Selene said bashfully. “It’s alright, I haven’t laughed this hard in a while so thank you. Now how about I pluck the feathers from your hair and you pluck them from your sisters” Mira replied.

So for the next hour they plucked feather after feather before showering and getting their robes on. A maid brought in a cart with waffles, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and a pitcher of fresh orange juice. The girls insisted Mira eat with them. They ate and when the girls were finishing up, Mira went to grab the dresses from the closet.

Mira pulled the dresses out their bag. She gasped at how beautiful they were. The girls have not seen their dresses yet so when they heard Mira gasp they walked over and were absolutely struck with how gorgeous their dresses were.

The girls were the same size and had the same figure, but when Selene saw the vibrant purple ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, lace starting at the top going down to her waist, encrusted with crystals at the bottom, she knew it was her dress. Nahla saw the Vintage black tulle ballgown with a plunging neckline, open back and slit from her thigh to the floor, she knew this ballgown was hers.

Mira helped the girls get dress and did their makeup neutral, stating they were natural beauties. They despised wearing heels so they wore matching flats. They looked absolutely regal. Mira grabbed their simple gold crowns and placed them on their head, the final touch.

“You ladies look so beautiful, it was a pleasure to serve you these past two days. It has been arranged that Prince Adrian of Bloom will escort you into the Ball Princess Selene, and Prince Ridley of Delmare will escort you Princess Nahla”, She said. The girls thanked her as they hugged and went to the lounge hall outside of the Grand Ballroom.

Nahla walked into the lounge hall to look for Prince Ridley, she does not like his womanizing ways and already see’s the two women on his arms. She walks over to him and the women curtsied “Your highness,” they said and walked away.

“Looks like you haven’t changed much,”she says looking into his big brown eyes, black hair, and beautiful smile. She won’t fall for his charms, besides she is waiting for her mate.

“Hello to you to Nahla, the most beautiful lady I know”, he tried to charm her. “Nice try”, she laughs, “Let’s go grab a drink and wait for our host to be announced, no funny business”, they walk off into the ballroom.

Selene saw Prince Adrian walking towards her, they are childhood friends since they were always with their parents during important meetings and gatherings. She stares at his beautiful green eyes and honey colored hair. He has gained muscle mass and grew a bit taller standing at about six foot two. Tall compared to her five foot four frame. They smiled and hugged each other.

“Long time no see, Lee Lee, what’s it been a year or so?” Adrian teased. “You know I don’t like that nickname Adrian, and yes we have all been busy with our studies”, Selene replies. “You look stunning, I was hopping you were my mate”, he says shyly, his cheeks reddening.

Adrian had been hoping Selene was his mate since he turned eighteen four months ago. He’s had a crush on her for as long as he can remember.

“I’m sure you will find her soon, thanks for being my escort today”, she replied, quickly trying to change the subject. “Still, I hoped”, he winked at her as they reached the landing to be announced. All the guest are waiting in the Ballroom, they’re last to enter since Adrian is hosting this year.

“His Highness Prince Adrian Maurea of Bloom and Princess Selene Marin of Andora”, bellowed the announcer, as Adrian and Selene descended the grand stairway, leading them to the ballroom floor.

“I hate being the center of attention”, complained Selene, “I love that about you, as beautiful as you are you prefer to be in the background, you will make an amazing Queen one day”, Selene smiled, but deep down she just wants to be in her big bed, binge watching N*****x.

She knows it’s necessary to attend the balls and meetings, but she can’t help that she wants to be a normal person. Selene finally lets go a breath she didn’t realize she was holding, as they made it down the staircase, Adrian kisses her cheek and they parted ways to mingle with the guests.

“I’m so excited to see the Lycan King”, exclaimed Nahla walking towards her sister. “Just thinking about him gives me butterflies, I overheard that he will be here any minute, he is said to be handsome but deadly,” trailed off Nahla.

As Selene is face to face with her sister her eyes widen, “What, is there something in my teeth?” Nahla asked “Nahla, your eyes, they’re violet”, Selene whispers, “How is that possible?” Selene asked confused “I sort of noticed that when we were getting ready, but I just thought that the makeup and dress brought out my dark blue eyes, making them look purple”, she shrugged. Just then the door to the landing opened, and in walked the two most beautiful men either women have ever seen.

“Do you smell that?”, exclaimed Selene “It smells like the forest after is rains with a hint of mint. “How strange is it, that I smell the same exact thing but with a small hint of coffee?”, Nahla exclaimed, she turned to look at her sister with wide eyes because, she knows that they have just found their mate.

The girls turned back to the staircase staring at the two huge men who look like they have been sculpted and favored by the gods themselves. Both men were easily six foot six, curly black silky hair to their shoulders, gorgeous stormy gray eyes, their perfect tight jawline, broad shoulders, and even in their tuxedo’s you can tell they had a body to die for. Their aura was radiating power and danger.

“I think that’s the Lycan King, but I didn’t know he had a twin brother”, Selene whispered. She looks around at the guest and see’s the lust, want, and envy on their faces and is instantly glad she isn’t the only one these men are having an effect on.

Xander POV

(A Few Hours Prior)

“Xavier, we’re running late, goddess you take longer than a girl to get ready!” yelled Xander to his twin brother. Not many people knew he had a twin, especially since they lived in the human realm. They don’t go to other realms often, but Xander has searched everywhere for their mate and was getting desperate.

He decided to search the supernatural realm as a last resort and if she is not there he will have to pick a strong she-wolf to mate with. He has so many responsibilities as Lycan King and owns several companies, he needs to find his Luna, he feels lonely like a part of him is missing. He is losing all hope and is about to give up, he has been searching for over a century for her.

His Lycan Kade is starting to get depressed without his mate. They have dreamed of finding Their mate since he first learned what mates were. He promised to save himself in all aspects of his life, he wanted to experience all of his first’s with his mate, but he can’t wait much longer.

“I’m coming you mongrel!”, Xavier shouts, as he descends the stairs of their house. They had this house made just for themselves and their mate. Since they are twins, they have always known they would share a mate. The house if you can even call it that has three floors, the first floor having a state of the art kitchen with an island that can easily sit twelve people comfortably, an office for each of them, a dining room that can host a party of at least twenty, and a huge living room that can easily sit thirty people comfortably.

The second floor has six guest bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, and a library. The third floor was the Alpha’s floor, and although Xavier shared the King title with his brother he chose to be his Beta, he also has his own room on the top floor, since they will eventually share a mate. Like his brother, their parent’s taught them to treat their Luna with respect and as their equal, to love her unconditionally, he too is saving himself for their mate.

The Alphas get into the waiting limo and take off to the Ball. As they cross the border that will lead them to the Supernatural Realm, Xander feels his wolf Kade stirring and feels his excitement. “What’s up Kade, everything okay?” He questioned him. “I can feel them, I can’t wait?”, was his response.

“What do you mean, who is “them?”, he asked. “You will see soon enough”, was all he said before he retreated to the back of his humans consciousness and put a block up.

“You okay bro?”, asked Xavier “Yea man, Kade is really excited and says he can feel “them” but wouldn’t elaborate and put a block up”, he responded. “Kane said something similar, he said he can’t wait to see “them”, but he also put a block up before I could ask him anything”, he told his brother.

“Our Lycan's are keeping something from us, but we will find out soon enough, Xander said as they stopped outside of Bloom Palace.
