Chapter 7

Naomi's POV 

Elsa flung me away causing me to hit my head on the wall. 

"Elsa, stop! Restrain your dog man!" I heard Logan speak as he carried me up. 

"Naomi. Get yourself together! Naomi. Can you see me?" he asked as I heard him faintly. 

"Let me go!" I heard Elsa scream and with that, I lost consciousness.

  "Come, my baby. Mommy misses you."I heard my mom call. While the little me ran to her again as she threw me up and caught me in the air.  

"Sweetheart. Come to Daddy." My mom let me down and I ran towards my Dad who threw me up and made me sit on his shoulder. 

Suddenly everything became dark and I heard my mom yelling for help. 

" I don't want to do this! Somebody help! Anybody! Don't touch me!" She shouted"

"Mom! Mom!!" I shouted. 

"My baby! Go! Run! Save yourself!" She shouted as I saw her hand was already broken and that was the last thing I saw of her. 

"Mommy!" I shouted as I woke up panting. 

"Are you alright?!" A voice asked as I looked beside me.  

"Your grace," I whispered just trying to bow my head. 

"You've been muttering some words to yourself. Doesn't seem like you had good childhood memories, did you?" Hunter asked, standing up from the couch he was sitting on as he gestured towards me. 

"I'm sorry your Highness for disturbing…" I looked around knowing fully well that it was not my room. "I will just leave…" I tried to avoid his presence forgetting that my leg was yet to heal. 

I stood up and a headache struck me. "Ouch." I winced. 

"I won't advise you to do that. Just stay." Hunter advised. 

"I don't want you to feel like I'm…" I was unable to complete my statement when he looked back at me and smiled. 

"I'm not complaining. I was the one who volunteered that you were brought here as I don't trust that witch who had opened up your wound to kill you before you were finally awake." He said jokingly while Nolly laughed in my head. 

"Do you know anything about my father?" I inquired. 

"Mmm…why did you ask?" He said, turning to sit beside me. 

"I…the…" I was startled as I've not been near a man before. 

"Sorry. Am I making you uncomfortable?" Hunter asked with his brow raised as my eyes trailed his lips down to the tattoo on his cheek. 

"No…it's fine…I just…feel…" I stuttered avoiding his eyes.

"Hold on a sec, are you shy?" He asked almost immediately, prompting me to raise my head. 

"Shy? I mean…no…I…I'm not." I tucked my hair behind my ear. 

"Then feel free with me. I guess you could only talk better because I was at a distance yeah?" He asked. 

"Probably?" I nodded. 

"Okay, I can stay away if you want me to." He replied, motioning towards the couch he was formerly on. 

"Your Highness, I don't want the rest of my mates to see me with you. I don't want to make my life harder than it already is." I concluded and was about to glide off the bed when he sped towards me and held my hand. 

"This is it again. This is happening with Hunter again girl. Do not miss this opportunity you fool! Can't you see how Elsa held on to Gabriel? You have to find your mate amongst these three other men left. You cannot be a late bloomer forever. Look at his chest. Oh, my days!" Nolly spoke in my head as I swallowed hard and my eyes went to his chest which was rising and falling in the plain white T-shirt he wore. 

"I thought you wanted to ask about your father's history. Aren't you interested in knowing who your father was before he died?" He asked. 

Immediately he finished with his statement, a headache struck me again as I felt my vision blurry. It was like I was trying to remember things that happened a long time ago as memories came crashing back. I could see my ten-year-old self, laughing and playing with my parents. Suddenly…

"Arrgghh…" I screamed. 

"Hey, hey. It's fine. I'm sorry. It's okay. Naomi…look at me. It's okay. I'm here. I won't speak of your father again." Hunter tried to talk me out of it. 

"What did we just see? Are there some memories we lost?" Nolly, my wolf asked. 

"Argh…make it stop!" I screamed. 

"Hey, you'll be fine. Just breathe. Hey…look at me…look at me…just breathe. Follow me…look at Naomi. Keep looking…just breathe." He commanded. 

"Ahh…fuck! I can't." I screamed as I felt the air leaving my lungs.  

"We are dying. Ah…what's going on?" Nolly asks, gasping for air. 

"Mmmm…Hunter…I can't…breathe…" I mentioned his name in whispers for the first time without calling him young master. 

"You have to fight…Naomi…hey…look at me…what the fuck is going on?! You can't do this to yourself! Is this how you want to end your life, Naomi? You cannot die. Fight it!" Hunter shouted as he tapped me gently with my feet wobbling beneath. 

"Naomi, Naomi!! Just fucking breathe" He kept calling. 

And immediately I felt air sucked into me and I sneezed. 

"Ah…I can…I'm fine…" I stuttered and the tension in the air increased. 

"I think we are fine now. I almost died." Nolly, purred in my head. 

"I'm sorry. I don't know what…" I paused as I looked up to see Hunter all sweaty with his T-shirt all wet. 

"You almost died. Damn!" He replied. 

"I'm so sorry, your Highness…I…I…" I stammered as he pulled me closer. 

"Are you sure you are fine…call my name…do you recognize me?" He asked stuttering. It seems he was scared I was going to die. 

"Young master, Hunter?" I called.

"Say it…like how you said it earlier…" he commanded as our breath rhymed together.

"Mate?" Nolly replied in my head with our eyes locking together while he brought his lips to mine.

What am I doing? Is he really my mate? But I felt the mate pull with Ethan as well. 

I'm going crazy. Somebody help! I screamed in my head.
