Unveiling the past

After a long day of faking smiles and shopping with Gemma, I found myself weeping in the dark forest. It was already nighttime and the birds were no longer chirping, the flowers closed, and the frogs and crickets croaked. The skies rumbled as it let down the rain. It felt like they were crying with me. I couldn't control the tears and shifted into my wolf, staggering through the woods as I tried to find it, my one place of solace that only I knew.

I fell over as it felt like the universe and the goddess were against me. I found my mate but at the same time, I didn't and now I couldn't find a stupid cave. As I wept, my gaze lifted from the wet ground and fell on it.

I found it!

A wide smile took over my face as I stumbled my way to it. I crawled in, not giving a care about my clothes.
