Mysterious deaths in the west woods!

~Another animal attack has been reported in the west side of the forest of Mystic Hills. This is the third attack in a week. Doctors are claiming that the claws of these animals are larger than that of the bears found in the surroundings of the west woods. It’s been reported that the bodies were torn really brutally into pieces. Police has sealed the areas where previous attacks had taken place. Before this week, the previous attacks took place during the same time last month.

Some religious experts are claiming that this is the part of some satanic rituals. Others are claiming that old demons are back to town to take the revenge from humans.

Citizens are requested to avoid using the highway near the west woods after five in the evening. Government has closed the forests and mountains towards the west side for hiking and camp fire until further notice. If you have any….~

“Jeremy, stop watching that sh*t!” Emily exclaimed, switching off the TV.

“That’s not sh*t, Em. People have lost their lives during this week” replied Jeremy, Emily’s younger brother, in a frustrated tone.

“I know. That’s why I said stop watching it. You are going to have nightmares!” Emily replied keeping the remote down and marched towards the kitchen.

Jeremy scoffed at her reply, earning himself a cold glare from his elder sister.

“I am eighteen years old, Em. I am officially an adult now! Can you please stop acting like I am child now?” Jeremy asked in annoyance while passing his hand from his small chestnut brown hair.

“I don’t think so!” came Emily’s teasing voice from the kitchen.

She removed the cereals from the drawer and kept on the dining table of their open concept kitchen.

“You are being too much these days” Jeremy uttered frustratedly.

“I just want you to stop watching things which can have adverse effect on your mental health. That’s it!” Emily replied in a stern voice.

“But people have died there, Em. Our parents also died there when their car fell from the mountain that night. We couldn’t even find their dead bodies. We had their funeral without their bodies! I guess it was also a part of an animal attack. We need more proof!” Jeremy continued, still sitting on the couch, thinking about ways to reopen the case.

“And do what? Their car exploded, Jeremy! Do you know the meaning of explosion? We can’t possibly have their bodies for funeral! Are you going after that silly animal who, as you think, might have pushed our parents’ car from the hill. Give me a break, Jer. Can we please stop talking about it?” Emily was beyond irritated by her brother’s irrational thinking.

“I want our parents to get Justice, Em” Jeremy shouted in anger.

“How exactly?” Emily snapped and Jeremy looked down as he didn’t have anything to support his argument.

Emily felt bad for her brother. She knew, he just wanted to vent his anger on something. He was young and he must be feeling empty after their parent’s sudden death. This is the first time they were talking for this long after a year.

Emily moved towards the living room again, took a deep sigh and spoke with utter patience and politeness.

“Look, Jer, my baby. There is no way we could give them justice by fighting with each other like this. If you want them to be happy then please move on and focus on your studies. Be successful in life. That is what matters to them a lot” Emily kept her hands on his shoulders.

Jeremy didn’t say anything. He just sat on the couch silently listening to his older sister.

She moved towards the kitchen again to give her brother some time and space to sort things out on his own.

“Come have some breakfast” She went towards the fridge to remove the milk can.

“Okay” replied Jeremy with a gloomy face.

While Emily was removing the milk can from the fridge, she felt a hard slap on her butt. She didn’t have to turn around to see who was the culprit. Only one person in the entire world had guts to do such a thing with her poor buttocks.

“DAISY!” Emily shouted rubbing her swollen butt.

“Yes, b*tch. Now you will remember me every time you sit” Daisy said with a wide grin, proud of her hard smack.

“You know I already hurt my butt during the pool party last week! Wound is still there” Emily pointed towards her back with painful expressions.

“You mean when you slipped and fell on your non-existing a*s last week?” Daisy asked innocently and bursts into laughter.

Jeremy couldn’t help but also chuckle, hearing Daisy’s narration.

Emily narrowed her eyes at her best friend and Daisy raised her hands in defense.

“Of course, I remember. I was the one who put the ice on it!”

“Thank you very much for your kind help” Emily replied with a sarcastic smile.

“Believe me pleasure is all mine” She replied with a wide.

Emily rolled her eyes and kept the milk can in front of Jeremy.

“Come and have breakfast with us” Emily offered while sitting next to Jeremy.

“What the heck are you doing, Ms. Emily non-a*s Donavon?” Daisy enquired with a raised eyebrow.

“Um. Having my breakfast?” Emily replied in a muddled tone.

“Not like this. You know what is the purpose of table napkin in our lives? To cover your clothes! You are going to ruin your outfit. You should look neat and upright for the interview” Daisy forcefully covered table napkin on her body.

‘Interview’ was the first word that caught unbothered Jeremy’s attention.

“Interview? Who is going for an interview?” asked Jeremy with astonished expressions.

Emily turned towards her brother and raised her hand,

“Me! We need money for your tuition fees. Nothing is free in this world, Jer” was Emily’s nonchalant reply.

“But I thought Uncle James was paying for it” Jeremy asked with muddled expressions.

“I refused his help. He did nothing but cursing our parents their whole life for some unknown reason. I don’t want a penny from that man!” Emily blurted out, spitting fire from her mouth.

“You don’t have to be so rude, Emily! He is our only family left!” Jeremy exclaimed angrily.

“No! You are the only family left for me and I am for you! We don’t need anyone else” Emily replied in an enraged tone but was cut off by a sudden cough.

“Ahem! Ahem!” Daisy cleared her throat.

“Except for Daisy” Emily corrected instantly and Daisy gave her satisfied smile with a curt nod to continue.

“I will do everything in my power to raise you without help from that vicious man!”
