For Wilder.

Lilian De Santus

It was late in the middle of the night when I turned over due to some disturbances. I reached out to the bedside lamp and flicked it on, rubbing my eyes in the process. I listened closely to hear where the disturbance came from, and I realized it came from downstairs.

There were muffled voices, and I couldn't pick up a particular scent down there.

"I swear to the goddess, if it is Oliver again…" I swore under my breath and padded out of my room towards the stairs.

"It's really late, Alpha Nowel. Whatever it is you have to say, I hope it's worth our while!” I heard my mate's annoyed voice, and I frowned slightly at the mention of the Alpha's name.

What was going on? The night was really dark, and everywhere was quiet.

"I know.” Alpha Nowel answered. “But one of your people was being attacked this morning and is currently receiving treatment at the pack hospital.”

“Oliver or Hailey?” My mate asked; the anger in his voice was toned down now.
