Jake's POV

There is this crazy thing about love that makes people hold to it strongly, even when it's obvious the love we give is not been returned.

Racheal's love wasn't mine to take, and even though I wasn't ready to accept the truth, I knew deep down within me that I was not her choice.

'Me too'

She might not have said it directly to my face, but that was a sign.. a sigh I turned a blind eye too.

I stared at Rachael as she rested her head on my shoulder, sleeping deeply, sighing tiredly.. I stared at my wrist watch. "We should probably head back to the Palace." I muttered to myself.

I tapped her on the shoulder and she raised her head slowly off my shoulder. "We should go back to the Palace before the gate is locked. It's already quite late," I suggested to her.

"I don't really think I want to be in the palace right now." She revealed. "I don't want to be there. I want to be as far away from the Palace as possible."

"Hmm, alright. I will take you somewhere else then. Let's go." I
