28. Adriana’s room

“I’m so glad that you are spending time with me today. I’m glad that you’ve finally realized that someone of your status shouldn’t hang around an omega like Astrid,” Adriana rambled.

She has been rambling all day since I chose to be close to her and honestly, I was starting to wonder if I wasn’t making a mistake as most of the time I didn’t listen to what she was saying and her voice was starting to make my ears ache.

The only reason I have chosen to be close to her is because I couldn’t wait anymore to slowly uncover the truth about this school and I needed her to help me with information and to have easy access to places I wouldn’t be able to enter since she was the daughter of the principal.

“Anyways my birthday is next week and you are very invited and I’d love for you to be my escort,” Adriana informed me.

What have I gotten myself into? I mentally complained but smiled in her face instead because I had no choice.

“If you don’t mind going shopping with me. I also need to get some things I’d be needing to match my clothes and my dad will be present so I can show my dad to you and…”

“Your dad?” I cut her off.

“Yes,” she answered.

“Don’t you think you are taking things a little too fast?” I asked because I wasn’t even her boyfriend and we’ve barely spoken for twenty-four hours and she’s already doing so much.

“Alright. You don’t have to worry and also you can come to my room later today, I’ve got something to show you,” she giggled.

“I will think about it,” I said to her.

“Alright.”

“So I’ve been wanting to ask some questions and I hope you can help me with the answers,” I began, adjusting so that I’d be looking at her.

“Shoot,” she said eagerly.

“How many students are in the school and also by ranking, how many omegas does the school accept yearly?” I asked.

“And what’s with the sudden interest?” She asked.

“I just want to know,” I replied, trying to sound not interested so that she doesn’t take a hint

“I can tell you and I can give you all the information that you need but that’s if you come into my room later today,” she replied.

That was all? She wanted me to come to her room? That’s not a problem.

“Alright.”

On my way back to my dormitory, I came across Damien and he was with his friends, all waiting for me in the hallway.

“What are you all doing here? Waiting for me? Aren’t you scared?” I asked.

“And why should we be scared of you? It’s a fight and anyone can always win. I beat you once, you beat me and we will always have to fight until one of us leaves this school and it cannot be me and you want to know why? It’s because this is my school, I run it and you cannot stay.”

“Did your father build the school?” I asked.

“Matter of fact, yes and he’s the head. You don’t know who you are messing with do you?” He said, taking a step towards me.

“I’m so scared,” I feigned fear. “Why don’t you enlighten me?”

“I have looked you up and found nothing which makes you very suspicious because how can you be a student of this school and there’s nothing about you? Not even your background?”

“Wow, I didn’t know that you looked me up. Must be cool to find out I’m not important,” I replied, making sure not to show that I was surprised that he looked me up.

“You aren’t an omega. I can’t tell so it’s baffling there’s nothing about you. I don’t know where you are from but I promise you that with time, I’m going to find out and I’d make sure that you regret ever crossing,” he uttered.

I folded my arms across my chest. “Are you threatening me?”

“It’s not a threat. A warning. You have stepped on Randolph and you can’t go free. Just like the others, you will learn the hard way, a way that you’d wish you never had to go through,” he replied.

“And what do you mean by the others?” I had an inkling that he might be aware of the omega used for the experiment and he played a role in wanting to have Astrid kick her so that she could be used too.

“Don’t worry, you will find out soon. Watch your back, Noah,” he said before walking away, his boys followed behind him.

I stood where I was for some seconds thinking about his words and the meaning they carried. Damien was aware of his father's experiment and he might just be who I needed to find out more about the school.

I went to my room, I called Tyler and informed him about the little information that I gathered before making my way to Adriana’s.

I was close to uncovering the truth and all I needed was for one of them to spill for me.

“Noah, is that you?” I heard Adriana’s voice after I knocked.

“Yes,” I answered.

“Alright, one second,” she said.

I waited for a few seconds before she asked me to come in. I opened the door, walked in, closed the door and when I turned to look at her, she was standing naked in the middle of her room.

“Like what you see?” She asked, batting her lashes at me in a seductive manner.

I turned away, looking away from her.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“And why are you so shy? It’s not like you haven’t seen a naked lady before,” she said.

While she’s correct that it’s not my first time, I still couldn't look at her.

“I thought you said you wanted to get some answers? How are you going to get them when you aren’t looking at me?”
