Saving My Rogue (She Spoke To Me?).

Saving My Rogue..

Chase's POV.

My eyes fluttered open slowly, my mind still foggy from the fight that had just taken place.

"What happened to me?? What happened here?" I clutched my head, tightening my eyes shut as I tried getting the perfect view of everything that was around me.

Everywhere looked blurred and it made me still feel a bit dizzy like I was about to collapse soon.

As my senses gradually returned to me, I became aware of a warm body lying next to me.

I instantly turned my head to my right hand side to look or try to find out what it was. No doubt, I was a bit worried that it would be something heinous but then, my heart stopped at the sight of what was lying before me.

"What the .." I spluttered, my eyes bulging out like I had seen a ghost.

There, lying next to me, was Claire - the rogue I had underestimated and nearly lost to during our first encounter.

She looked so weak and vulnerable as she laid close to me on the floor, her breathing shallow and her body covered in bruises and cuts.

"Does this mean she was the one that helped me?" I thought briefly, my heart racing, confused too.

For a moment, I was stunned by the sight before me. I had never expected to see her again, let alone in this state.

But as I looked at her, I felt a sudden surge of respect for her. Despite her injuries, she had fought bravely alongside me, and had proven herself to be a worthy rogue.

As I took in the sight before me, my mind raced with thoughts of what had just transpired.

The fight had been brutal, and we had both come close to losing our lives. But somehow, we had managed to emerge victorious.

Looking back at Claire, I felt a sudden surge of protectiveness. I knew that we were in dangerous territory, and that we still had enemies to face. But I was determined to keep her safe, no matter what the cost was going to be.

Reaching out, I gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, feeling a sudden tenderness towards her. I felt a sense of peace wash over me staring at her.

It was at this point I couldn't help but notice how gentle and pretty she was.

"Get your act together, Chase!" I shook my head, trying to get my mind in the game.

I immediately stood to my feet and gently lifted Claire's bruised body into my arms, feeling the weight of her fragile form against my chest.

She was so small, so delicate, and yet she had fought with a strength and determination that I couldn't help but admire.

As I carried her towards the bed, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the sight of her battered and bruised body.

She looked so vulnerable, so fragile, and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving her alone in this state.

I gently laid her down on the bed, her body sinking into the soft mattress. For a moment, I stood there, looking down at her, my heart heavy with emotion.

"I'm sorry for the pain I caused you.. you are like this because I couldn't fight for myself!" I saud, my voice barely above a whisper as my gaze turned into a sad look, staring at her.

"Ahhh…" I heard her groan softly which meant she could regain consciousness anytime soon.

"I need to go call the Pack's doctor for her to live!" I panicked, a sense of urgency kicking in as I felt the need to save her life.

As I turned to leave the room, I was instantly captured by her words. I heard her voice, soft and pleading. "Dad, please don't leave!" she cried out, her voice trembling with emotion.

I froze in my tracks, my heart pounding with a sudden surge of emotion. She had called me "Dad?" - a word that carried with it a weight of emotion that I couldn't just ignore.

Turning back towards her, I saw the tears streaming down her face, her voice, her facial expression pleading with me to stay.

"Don't go, Dad.. please, stay with me.. I don't want to lose you anymore!" At that moment, I knew that I couldn't leave her all alone in the room, it would surely become so lonely for her.

I walked back towards the bed, taking a seat next to her and taking her small hand into mine.

For a moment, we sat there in silence, her breathing ragged and uneven, my heart heavy with emotion.

But then, as I looked down at her, I felt a sudden sense of determination.

I would protect her, no matter what the cost. After all, she risked her life for me; And I would do everything in my power to make sure that she never had to face danger alone again.

After a few hours of staying beside her and patting her hair, I finally realised that she was now fast asleep.

"It's time to leave, Chase!" I urged myself, releasing a heavy sigh.

With a sudden surge of energy, I stood up and strode towards the door, my mind racing with plans and strategies.

I had a lot of work to do, a lot of enemies to face. But I knew that I could do it. For her.

The second I dashed out of my room, I found my Beta standing before the door. He was here after all.

"Where are you heading to, Alpha?" He asked, his voice deep and rigid.

"I need to go get drugs for the Rogue, Harrison.. she might die if she isn't taken care of!" I informed, my hands tightened in a fist.

"But she's just a Rogue that tried to assassinate you at that. It's too risky out there Alpha Chase.. we need to send a Guard to go instead of you!" Harrison stated, clearly disobeying every word from my lips.

I chuckled forcefully, averting my stare from him for a split second before turning back to him.

"She saved me, Harry.. so I think you should quit the formalities!!" I rolled my eyes and was going to walk out on him but then, he held my wrist which I disliked.

I instantly pulled out my hand from his grip and the next part I targeted was his throat.

My hand gripped his neck so tight that I had seen him struggle to breath and also leaving his sword to fall to the floor.

"I… I'm sorry Chase.. I didn't mean it!" He tapped my hand, trying to struggle against my strong hold.

"Better for you. It's either I leave here for the doctor or you die this instant!!" I took off my hand from his neck, smirking mischievously.

"I'll go with you, Sir!" He inclined his head to the ground, as he made his offer.

"Then that would be better. Let's go, we need to arrive back here soon!"

I lead my beta through the winding streets of the village, my heart pounding with worry for Claire.

She had suffered a breakdown, and I knew I needed to act quickly to get her the help she needed. The Pack's doctor was our only hope.

"We are almost there, Alpha" Harrison informed me, making my heart feel a bit relieved.

As we approached the doctor's small home, I could see the flickering light of a fire inside.

I knocked firmly on the wooden door and waited impatiently for a response. After a moment, the door creaked open, revealing the ageing doctor inside.

"Uuuhhh!!" He gasped, his eyes widened as he wasn't expecting to see me in his home for such an hour.

"Alpha Chase!! To what do I owe this sudden visit?" He inclined his head to the ground as a sign of respect to my Beta and I.

"I need fast healing medicine for a Wolfless Rogue!" I wasted no time in explaining the situation to him, my voice urgent and desperate.

The doctor listened attentively, his brow furrowed with concern. When I finished, he nodded gravely " Please Alpha, Come with me". He urged.

As we stepped into the dimly lit room, I could see that the doctor's humble abode was filled with all manner of potions, herbs, and medical instruments. The scent of herbs and spices filled my nostrils, and I felt my beta tense up beside me.

"We should leave soon, here stinks!" Harrison ridiculed, feeling irritated which made me smirk.

The doctor motioned for us to take a seat on a nearby bench, and he set to work gathering various ingredients from his shelves.

With practised hands, he mixed them together, his movements efficient and precise.

As he worked, I watched anxiously, praying that the doctor's efforts would be enough to save Claire . Finally, he turned to us, a small vial of liquid in his hand.

"Give her this," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "It should help calm her nerves and ease her mind."

I took the vial from him, nodding my head in thanks. With a sense of urgency, my Beta and I rose from our seats and hurried out of the doctor's hut, eager to get back to Claire's side.

I knew that time was of the essence, and I could only hope that the doctor's treatment would be enough to bring her back from the brink of her breakdown.

Soon, we got to the pack Village and without hesitation, I entered my chambers with the small vial of medication in hand, prescribed by the doctor for Claire's recovery.

As the Alpha of the pack, it was my responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all my pack members, including her.

I approached her slowly, her form lying still on the bed. With gentle hands, I lifted her head and administered the medication.

I waited patiently, watching as her breathing slowed and her eyelids fluttered shut. It seemed as though the medication had taken effect, and she had fallen into unconsciousness.

But then, something strange happened. My wolf, normally quiet and subservient, suddenly perked up, as if he had heard something.

I tried to ignore it, thinking it was just my imagination, but the feeling persisted.

Suddenly, I couldn't take it anymore. I stood up, feeling the anger and frustration welling up inside me.

My beta, who was standing nearby, tried to calm me down, but I was beyond reason. I was about to storm out of the room when I heard her voice - "Save me, please."

It was her wolf, speaking to mine. I couldn't believe it. She was wolfless, how was this possible? I was confused and scared too.

"What just happened?" My mind raced as I couldn't place my hand on what was happening.
