Four

Kyra felt rays of sunlight resting on her skin and that's what prompted her to wake up. She batted my eye–lids open slowly as she came awake. She felt weak all over, like a hammer was used to break all her bones into pieces, and a strong headache ravaged her senses too.

Kyra was on a soft bed, an unfamiliar one and she instantly recognized that it wasn't hers. With a sense or urgency, she quickly sat atop the bed and looked around her surroundings. This definitely wasn't her house, or her room.

Where was she?

Just then, the door opened and she froze, completely shocked to see the three men that had walked into the room. Her jaw dropped again, a familiar reaction she has now assimilated whenever she saw the Romano brothers upclose.

They entered the bedroom with trays in their hands covered with napkins. Everything was so confusing and surprising, two big emotions all at the same time, it was overwhelming! Kyra didn't even know where to begin her questioning from because there were a million–and–one of them in her head.

The most prominent one being how she ended up in this room with the Romano brothers serving her!

"G–good morning." She nervously greeted.

They set the trays on the side–table and then they sat on the bed, which immediately caused Kyra to scoot away from them in shyness.

"Good morning, Kyra. How was your night?" Jax, the eldest, asked.

"It was okay." Kyra answered nevertheless, hoping they'd shed more light in what she was doing on one of their beds.

"We prepared breakfast for you." Jace said and pointed to the stack of trays on the table, she stared at them and then back at the brothers with a surprised gawk on my face.

"All that food? For me?" Kyra questioned with unbelief.

They nodded their heads in affirmation. Again, what's happening right now?

"Yes, and so much more Kyra." Jack spoke this time and with every sentence these boys spoke, she was left even more shocked. These boys literally spoke to her for the first time yesterday!

How would they suddenly want to do 'so much more' for her?

"Thank you. I'm quite confused though. What had happened to me? Why am I not at home and not that I'm unappreciative of your kind gestures, but I'm just confused as to why I'm receiving them."

"Yesterday we invited you for our party and Lily tricked you and led you to a forest where a wolf attacked you, but we were in time to save you. You passed out and we had to bring you back here to nurse you and take care of you." Jace answered on behalf of them and regardless of that, nothing was still making sense to Kyra

Granted, they saved her which they could've done for anyone else. But bringing her into their house, letting her sleep there and then preparing breakfast for her?

That's all strange. Very.

"But why, we don't even know each other." Kyra expressed.

"Well Kyra, yesterday we found out that you're our mate. All three of us."

Kyra had to take a moment to digest what Jax had just said to her—long moments, because she couldn't understand. His words traveled through her ears and settled deep in her chest, reverabating and repeating itself over and over yet she couldn't still grasp its meaning.

"What does that mean?" She had to ask.

"All three of us are werewolves and Alpha princes, Kyra. We kept our identity a secret since we were in the midst of humans. And you are our mate." Jax explained.

Kyra couldn't understand how she was a mate to not just one, but to all three? How is that even possible? And not to mention the fact that she was completely taken aback by the surprising news that they were werewolves!

"I–I don't understand…"

"You're my brother and I's mates, Kyra." Jace repeated, but just because it was said two times doesn't mean that she fully accepted it within.

Kyra shook my head in naught. This is impossible.

"Please take me home." She said, which obviously shocked all of them. They shared a look then returned back to facing me.

"We will Kyra, but you need to fully rest–up and eat breakfast too. We will be glad to take you home after that." Jax said but she shook my head again. She didn't want to spend another moment here.

Kyra climbed out of the bed and stepped away from them.

"No, I can't. I'm sorry to reject your offer and your meal but I can't stay here any longer. My parents must be worried about me now and I need to go home. Please, take me home." She said to them and they just stared at her and she could see so many emotions play on their faces.

After a moment, they all stood up from the bed.

"Alright Kyra, we'll take you home now." Jax said and Kyra let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you."

But Jax wasn't relieved at all, he looked let–down, as well as the rest of his brothers.

How did Kyra get myself into this?

The Romano brothers didn't take her home, instead they mandated their driver to do so and within an hour, they were at her house. Kyra was fretting, She knew for sure that her parents would be worried seeing that she didn't return home last night and her phone was dead.

Kyra prepared herself mentally for so many scolds from them.

She opened the front door and was taken aback by the sight in front of her. Their whole living room was thrashed and everything was destroyed! She gasped, wondering what had happened, but she had to search for my parents.

She quickly went up the stairs to my parents room and saw that it was in the same state as downstairs and she was scared to my bones.

"Kyra? I'm here." She heard her mother terrified say and she saw that she was hiding behind the bed.

What had happened?
