Three

The party had begun and they were all having fun, there were drinks, so many games, and lots of girls. Although Jace didn't appreciate loud noises, inviting some company around once in a while wouldn't hurt that bad.

Speaking of inviting, that reminded Jace of the girl they met at school today. She hasn't shown up yet. Jace wondered where she was, or did she purposely decide to miss it?

He positioned his snooker cue and aimed it at the white ball, then made his play. He knocked out five balls then passed the cue to Jack.

"What about that girl you invited, do you know whether she's here yet?" Jace asked Jack as he positioned the cue to make a play. He shook his head in naught.

"Maybe she's not going to show." He answered, his eyes still on the board as he calculated his play.

"Well, did you text her the right address?" Jace inquired and he nodded his head in affirmation. So why isn't she here yet?

Just then, the rhythmic clicking of heels started advancing towards them and they turned around to see that it was a bunch of giggling girls in their thigh and tits revealing outfits, sometimes Jace feel like these girls try too much.

"Hey, Jace!" They said and came around him. They were about seven in number, He noticed Lily was amongst them. He still haven't forgiven her for what she did to Kyra earlier today.

But then, he caught a whiff of a scent. A newly memorized scent. It was Kyra's scent! He wondered how come Lily has Kyra's scent on her and it seems fresh, like she had just encountered her a few minutes ago.

"Lily!” Jace called out to her and her face beamed with a smile, maybe she thought he had acknowledged her and fancied her more than the rest of the girls.

"Yes Jace?."

"Have you seen Kyra?" He questioned her and Jack looked away from his snooker game and focused on the conversation immediately he heard her name.

Jace could see panic play in all its letters across Lily’s face. He knew something.

"N–no, I don't know where she is." She answered with a stutter, deliberately avoiding eye contact. That was an obvious pointer that she had done something bad to Kyra.

"I asked if you've seen her, not if you knew where she was. And you're obviously lying. So tell me the truth, where is Kyra?" Jace asked again, he was gradually losing his patience and Lily infuriated the hell out of him.

Jace was getting angry and it showed, Lily was trembling and the rest of the girls had paused their giggling.

"I–uh…" She trailed scaredly.

"Come on Lily, speak up." Jack urged her as well. The girl was seriously panicking. Just then, Jax came in too, he was with a glass of vodka in his hands.

"What's happening here?" He questioned confusedly, sensing that something was wrong.

"That girl we saw at school today, Kyra. She was supposed to be at the party but she hasn't arrived yet, it seems like Lily knows her whereabouts." Jack explained to Jax

Jax's gaze focused on Lily and he glared at her suspiciously— Jace could see it in his eyes that something was telling him that Lily was involved in this somehow and he could also perceive Kyra's scent all over her.

"Definitely, she does know." Jax agreed with Jack. "Tell us where she is now." Jax was stern and curt; he was the no–nonsense one amongst the brothers and he hates disobedience. He has a thin patience line.

Lily scanned each of the brother's faces and saw that we were being very serious. Even her friends were urging her to speak up, and the conversation had started to attract attention from the other people at the party and a small circle gathered around them.

Lily chuckled nervously, "Why do you guys care? Kyra is just a nobody, boys like you three shouldn't be bothered about her." She tried to dismiss the matter.

Jax was getting impatient as well, and he simply couldn't stand Lily.

"Tell us where she is now, Lily. We are not joking around here, don't test us or else you won't like our wrath." Jax stepped closer to Lily menacingly and her fear vividly doubled.

"Fine! I'll tell you!" She surrendered as she cautiously took steps backward.

"Start talking, then." Jace said, folding his arms.

She stared at them for a moment before she opened her mouth, "I saw her coming to the party and I offered to give her a ride, but a wolf attacked us and I abandoned her and then came here,” Lily explained and the brothers shared a look—Kyra was in trouble!

"How can you be so evil to leave her alone?" Jax scolded Lily while Jace instantly knew what to do, he went upstairs to grab the keys to the car.

They were going to save Kyra.

They followed Kyra's scent, even though it was getting quite faint, but it was enough for them to trace where she was. They found themselves in a thick forest very different from the route to their mansion, the brothers knew then that Lily had purposely brought Kyra here.

Just then, they saw Kyra— they could easily spot her because of her Platinum blonde hair that dazzled underneath the moonlight sky, but there was no time for admiration because she was fighting a wolf!

Jace identified the wolf as a rogue wolf!

"My goodness! She needs to be saved or he will kill her!" Jace said and immediately jumped out of the car to Kyra's rescue, immediately shifting into his wolf to fight off the rogue.

His brothers came out of the vehicle to get Kyra to safety while Jace distracted the wolf but it seemed she was so overwhelmed from the fight and within that moment, she collapsed on the ground and fainted.

But that wasn't the only strange thing that happened.
