Six

Jax was still sitting in the class scribbling something on paper and smiling to himself but the smile disappeared when he felt the excruciating pain in his chest. He sensed what was happening. He could feel Kyra's emotions but all that he was feeling was her fear.

He felt her pain and using the mate bond he tried to reach her but all he could feel was a terrifying fear. Her fear. He tried using the bond again but it crippled him. He stood up and raced out of the classroom not knowing what to do which left people wondering what was wrong with him. His mind filled with the thought of Kyra.

He couldn't bear the thought of losing Kyra. He ran his hand through his hair. He wouldn't calm down. The hallway was silent. So silent that the only thing making noise was his footsteps. He was so afraid. The thought that she might be in pain engulfed him. He doesn't want her to be in pain.

He knew she was still alive but can't sense the exact spot she was. He tried to use her scent but she didn't have one because she was not a wolf. She is human. He paced around the hallway silently. He couldn't find his brother because he wasn't thinking straight.

They were in different classes receiving different lectures. But his mind drifted to Jack. The only one who was in her class. He stood on a spot and he tried mind-linking Jack. It was successful. He told him the situation and at that point, he felt her pain too. The same goes for Jace.

Jace rushed out of the classroom and he met Jack. Jax got in the direction of her class. Then he saw some females gathering at the front of the restroom. His heart raced a million times while walking there to check what was happening. As soon as he got there, being the most popular, the students gave him the way by moving to the other side.

His head dropped down just to see the horrendous sight in front of him. His heart was shattered. He bent down to see if she was still breathing. He couldn't even figure out if she was still breathing or not. He tried to heal her but couldn't. He kept forgetting that she wasn't a wolf.

Soon, Jack and Jace rushed toward the scene. They were heartbroken by what they saw. Jace clenched his fist. He promised to kill anyone responsible for this. Jack chased the students that were beginning to get much. They were the only ones with her.

Jack moved closer to her and they helped her on his back. He carried her to the school clinic and the nurses attended to her but they were sluggish. "Get the fuck on! Move it! Why are you so slow?" Jax shouted at the nurse trying to treat her.

Jace moved closer to the second nurse and gripped her collar. "If something bad ever happens to her, I will make your ass suffer for it." He spat at her and pushed her away.

"I am sorry." The nurse apologized.

"Sorry for your life," Jack yelled.

Jax paced around the clinic thinking of who could have done this to her. His mind drifted to Lily but he shook his head. He hadn't for once seen Lily talk to Kyra before.

"We have to transfer her to the hospital. Her condition is critical. " One of the nurses told them.

Jax didn't wait for the nurse to turn back before he grabbed her neck. He pierced his blue eyes into her eyes. The nurse doesn't dare look him in the eyes. She lowered her eyes. They all knew he was the next in line for the Alpha line.

"What did you say? Are you saying you can't handle it? Are you saying you don't know how to do your job? Tell me, speak up. Don't just stare at me like a dog...spill the bullshit." Jax raised his voice, not ready to leave her neck.

The other nurses in the infirmary shivered in fear. They don't dare talk back to him. They all know what he was capable of doing. Not even his brothers can dare to look at him at this point. He tightened his hold on her neck with the strong ability he possessed. The poor nurse cried out.

Tension filled the infirmary. "Talk to me, woman. Don't just keep mute. I demand you to talk to me. Say something. Hurry." He shouted at the nurse.

The nurse struggled to breathe. When his brothers saw that he wouldn't release her neck. They went to him to calm him down. He finally released her neck. She fell to the floor and gasped for air. She couldn't breathe properly.

Jax's eyes turned to the other nurses. "What the hell are you women still doing there? Make yourself useful and get the ambulance here. If anything happens to her, I will wipe off your bloodlines in wolf history. Go on! Make your asses useful." He growled at them. He was already losing it. He couldn't bear the fact that something bad had just happened to his soulmate.

He doesn't want her to die.

"Call the ambulance." One of the nurses said to another. They did as they were told. They don't want to die. Jace and Jack didn't want anything to happen to her either. Not now, not ever. The pain they were feeling was unbearable. It had affected Jack. The same goes for Jace. They both held their chest. If anything bad happens to her, they are doomed.

Jax was the most affected by him but because of the strong blood he possessed, he was able to bear it.

"Move it!" Jace barked at them.

"Now!" Jack added.

They waited for the ambulance but didn't get to see it. Jax was now totally mad. An idea got into Jack's head.

"Let's take her to the hospital ourselves. These fools are up to no good." Jack said.

They agreed. This time around, Jace managed to carry her. They carried her into the car. Jack and Jace saw that it would be a very bad idea to allow Jax to drive the car. They would get into an accident. Jax agreed and he allowed Jack to drive it while he held her hand. It was cold.

"Step on it!" Jax commanded.

Jace got scared. Kyra on the side was still suffering in pain. She opened her eyes for a while but her vision was blurry so she was able to see Jax. Jax saw her open her eyes. "Kyra." He called out and leaned in closer to her.

"J....Ja...Jax" She called.

"Yes....shh....don't talk. Save your breath. Please do it for me, for us. Hold on, please." Jax said, dragging the strand of hair out of her face. His hand was stained with blood. Jack was distracted and he almost ran into another truck.

"Watch it Jack," Jace screamed at him.

"Please hold on. You can't die yet. You can't." Jace said in fear.

"I....I...." Jax didn't allow her to talk. He placed his index finger on her lips.

"Save your breath. Don't say a fucking word." He warned her.

A smile plastered on her lips but she ended up closing her eyes and she became unconscious. "Increase the speed, you dumb ass. Kyra woke up. No. You can't do this. Kyra." Jax yelled.

Jack frowned. "I am trying weirdo. I don't want to end up running into another car." Jack yelled back.

Jax became angrier. "How dare you?" Jax growled at Jace. He couldn't control his temper anymore. He was about to lunge at Jack but Jace stopped him.

"Fight after we have saved her. You idiots! Step on it." Jace intervened.

"How many more seconds do we have? " Jax asked, forcing his anger in.

"120 seconds more," Jack replied. Jax ran his hand in his hair. It was messy but he was still looking handsome including his brothers.

"Fuck!" He cursed out loud.

"Kyra, hold on, please. Don't die yet. I won't be able to take it. Please." Jace suddenly cried out. Jax stared at him for a second. He felt pity for his brother. Jace touched Kyra's lips. His clothes were stained with her blood too.

Jack bit his lips, almost drawing out blood. His jaw clenched.

"I swear whoever did this would suffer hard for it. I will make him or she pay dearly for it." Jack growled and he tightened his hand on the steering.

"Aren't we there yet?" Jace screamed at him.

"Almost. Thirty seconds more and we will be there." He answered with his eyes focused on the road.

Jax wouldn't take his eyes off her. He kept looking. In his mind, he was saying some prayers to the moon goddess to keep her safe.

"We are there," Jack announced.
