"Good morning, Ms. Geautreaux. I have your breakfast." Spoke up the young girl who had replaced Claude. The one friendly face that might have gotten me out of here. "I know I'm not as good as a cook as the late Mr. Theriot but I did follow his recipe book," She forced a smile as she placed the tray of food on the floor. "I made pancakes, eggs, sausage patties, and biscuits. Eat up, Ms. Logue wants you back in the lab today." I smiled at the girl and thanked her, wondering if she had been captured and made to work here. Maybe if I show her kindness, then she could help me. I couldn't help but wonder how my mates were doing. How my best friend must be going crazy looking for me. I don't want to die like this.

"Where are you from?" Maybe I can get her on my side. She scrunched up her eyebrows and tilted her head back. Yes, a question out of nowhere, but I will try anything. "Claude used to sit in here and talk with me. He said it would keep me from being lonely."
