Blake's POV:

The academy gates looked the same.

Stone. Iron. Tall and unwelcoming.

But the air felt different when I stepped through them Sunday night. Heavier. Like too many eyes were already waiting.

My bag rested against my shoulder. I adjusted the strap and walked forward anyway.

Running was done.

Lights burned in the main hall windows. Training grounds were quiet, but not empty. Shadows shifted near the edges. Wolves pretending not to watch.

I felt it at once.

Something had changed.

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   166. Too Thick for One Palm [18+]

Blake's POV:I was still somewhere inside my own head when his hands moved again. That familiar grip returned to my waist belt and this time there was no pause, no warning, no moment to brace. He worked the buckle open with the kind of easy confidence that suggested he'd been planning this exact sequence of events for longer than I'd care to think about. The leather slid loose and he looked up at me once, briefly, with something dark sitting comfortable behind his eyes."I didn't like how you chose to wear tight jeans when visiting Aaran."His voice was conversational. Calm. Like he was making an observation about the weather rather than standing there with my belt hanging open in his hands."Now," he continued, fingers finding my zipper without looking down, "you'll feel the pain on your joystick to wear anything tight for days."The zipper went down. And then my jeans went with it, and my briefs followed in the same motion, and the cold air of the room hit my skin all at once and I

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   165: Taken by Him [18+]

Blake's POV:His knuckles rested against the leather, unhurried and knowing. Not moving. Just resting there like he wanted me to feel it. To understand exactly where this was going. My breath hitched so hard it must have been audible. And through the haze of the kiss, I felt him smile against my mouth. His lips barely left mine when he spoke."Trust me." The words came out low, pressed right against my mouth so close his lips brushed mine with every syllable. "You are going to remember this night forever." A pause. Another slow brush. "I'll claim you tonight as mine." His breath was warm against my skin. "Only mine."The word landed somewhere deep in my chest and just sat there."But you wanted me to stay away." The words came out before I could stop them. Quiet. A little wrecked. Because it was true he'd said it himself, not long ago, and now he was here with his hands on me and his mouth making me forget my own name.He pulled back just enough to look at me. That dark, unbothered ga

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   164. Shh, Don't Disturb Me [18+]

Blake's POV:I shoved him.Stupid. I knew it was stupid the second my palms connected with Alex's chest, the second I felt the solid wall of him barely budge an inch. But the anger had been sitting too hot behind my ribs for too long, and my body moved before my brain caught up.The silence that followed lasted maybe half a second. Then Alex's eyes shifted. That's the only way I can describe it. One moment he was Alex, controlled, composed, that familiar smirk sitting easy on his face, and the next, something darker surfaced behind his gaze. Something that made my stomach drop straight to the floor. His jaw ticked once. And then he moved. His hand shot up and gripped my shoulder so fast I barely registered it happening. The pressure was firm, deliberate, not bruising but not gentle either. A warning wrapped in a touch. And before I could process that, before I could so much as open my mouth to say something smart or stupid or anything at all.He kissed me.Just like that. Sealed his l

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   163. Lines You Don’t Get to Draw

Blake’s POV:The movie keeps playing.Laugh tracks. Music swelling. Two princes falling in love on a screen that suddenly feels unreal, distant—like something happening in a world I don’t belong to anymore. My phone buzzes again.Once.Short. Sharp. My chest tightens before I even unlock it.Alex: I’m coming to Aaran’s dorm. The words blur for a second. My pulse slams hard enough that I can hear it in my ears.I shut the laptop without thinking.Aaran looks at me instantly. “Blake?”“I—” My voice comes out rough. “I’m sorry.”He straightens. “What happened?”I stand, already backing away. “I need to leave. Right now.”Concern crosses his face, followed by something quieter. Disappointment he doesn’t try to hide.“I promised you the movie,” I say quickly. “I promise next time I’ll stay. I mean it.”He studies me for a long second, then nods. “Okay.”No argument. No guilt. That somehow hurts more.“I’ll walk you—”“No,” I interrupt gently. “Please. Just… thank you. For tonight.”His smi

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   162. Laughter Between Plates

Blake’s POV:The first thing I notice is the smell. Not the sharp kind like instant noodles or burnt oil. This is warm. Layered. Comforting. Like something that belongs to a home rather than a dorm.I step further inside Aaran’s kitchen, my eyes automatically scanning the space. Everything is neat but not sterile. Countertops wiped clean. Ingredients already prepped. A soft hum of heat coming from the stove.Aaran moves around easily, like he knows exactly where everything belongs. Sleeves rolled up. Hair slightly messy. Focused without looking tense.“You cook?” I ask, leaning my shoulder against the counter. He glances at me over his shoulder, one brow lifting. “That sounds like an accusation.”I huff. “No. It sounds like disbelief.”He chuckles, turning back to what he is doing. “I take that as a compliment.”I step closer and then stop. There are dishes everywhere. Not scattered. Planned.Grilled chicken glazed with herbs. A pot of creamy mushroom soup gently simmering. Roasted ve

  • Mated to My Rival Step Brother   161. Alex's Message

Blake’s POV:Aaran’s dorm building stands apart from the rest. Not isolated. Just… intentional. The structure is darker than the others, polished stone mixed with deep metal panels that catch the light in sharp angles. Red runes are carved near the entrance, subtle but powerful. Bloodmoon design. Bold. Dominant. It fits him more than I want to admit.I stop for a second before knocking. This is fine, I tell myself. This is just study. This is not about Alex. The door opens before my knuckles even land.“Blake,” Aaran says, smiling like he has been waiting behind the door the whole time. “You came.”“I said I would,” I reply, stepping inside. The door closes behind me with a soft click. The dorm is… a lot.Black dominates the walls, broken by deep red accents. Velvet textures on the sofa. Steel and glass furniture that looks expensive without trying to show off. The lighting is low but warm, casting everything in a calm glow instead of shadows. It reminds me of Alex’s dorm. That though
