Fourteen.

Irina’s POV

It was becoming harder and harder to be around Damien. Any time I was near, his scent had my insides tied up in knots. I should never have hugged him. I don’t even know why I did it, I just felt overwhelmed in the moment.

Taking my anger out on the tree helped. It wasn’t the first time I had punched a tree so much that it had snapped. You could find them all around the forest, it was what I would do when Vivian messed with my head. I just wish I could find the confidence to stand up to her!

Of all people that my mate had to marry, why did it have to be her? Why did it have to be Vivian.

As I run off deeper into the forest, I hear footsteps close behind. Stopping to see who was following me, I find Damien staring at me.

It's frustrating that they have not told their parents re:bullying. he would not have to marry Vivian and Irina would be protected from her. they're bringing the negative effect that is coming. if she can splinter a tree she can surely beat the crap out of Vivian.
