CHAPTER TEN

ZEPHYR’S POV

I ducked down behind the bushes, and peered at them. My first thought was to break up whatever shit was going down there but for some reason, every muscle in my body betrayed me and I found myself watching them and doing nothing.

“I'm sorry.” He said to her, when he pulled out of their kiss. His finger running cross his hair while he tried to hide his nervous smile.

For a moment, all she did was stare at him, breathing slowly. Then she bit my lower lip and mutered. “What happens now?”

He smiled and gently stroked the strands of her hair back In place.

“I have a house over at the next pack. Its far, remote… safe.”

“You want us to leave?” she mouthed, the pitch of her voice tipped a little. She stared wide-eyed at him. Surprise laced every bit of her.

Unconsciously, I stroked my chin and messaged my chest. Something about her reaction made my heart beat faster. She seemed bewildered but she wasn't hating it.
