Ivy pretended like she didn’t hear what Amelia had said and just continued swimming from end to end in the cool pool of water.

“Miss Ivy... we need to go now before it becomes too late,” Amelia said in fear but her plea fell on the same deaf ears.

As Ivy stood in the soothing waters of the tranquil lake, she began to hear unusual sounds. The rustling of bushes and the rapid movement of trees reached her ears, like the rush of a heavy wind through the forest. Her senses sharpened as she realized something was amiss, and a feeling of unease crept over her.

The mysterious sounds continued, growing louder and closer as if someone or something was approaching. Ivy's heart pounded in her chest, and she glanced around, searching for the source of the disturbance. Her instincts were on high alert.
