Reese
I had only been sitting in my office for a few minutes the next morning when Kyle found me. I had my hand poised on the receiver of the landline, getting ready to phone Ryker, but I leaned back in my chair upon the bear shifter’s entrance.
Asher was set to arrive later with Mari and the leader of the dragon clan, Zacharias, so I was understandably on edge as I attempted to dot all my i’s and cross my t’s.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I wanted to be as prepared as possible given the numerous unknown variables surrounding the circumstances.
The dragon shifters had been a mostly unknown entity before now, but the Alpha of the Eastern Province had smashed through that barrier. However, he hadn’t breathed a word of what he’d learned to date, so I was still ignorant of anything related to the other species of shifter.
