Evelyn’s POV
I felt a cold splash of water on my body, my eyes flung open and I jumped up immediately.
“Get your fucking ass up!” Asher sound resounded in my head, my vision were still blurry as I had just woken up.
Memories of the previous night flooded back to me and I remembered the sinister smirk Asher had on his face before I had passed out, my heart pounded against my chest as I felt a surge of anger flow through me.
“What did you do to me!” I screamed examining my clothes and body to see if he had done the unthinkable. I rushed towards him and held his clothes tightly.
“Asher what did you do to me?” I asked him again in fear. A slap landed on my face as he grabs my neck choking me before his lips curled up in a smirk.
“What do you think I did to you?” His eyes scanned my boobs as he licks his lips. I felt my skin crawl and bile run up from my stomach to my mouth making me sick.
“You pervert!” I tried to kick him but he threw me to the floor. “I hate you, you are a monster.” I cussed at him as tears rolled down my cheeks. His laughter filled my eyes and I felt like throwing up.
“You are about to be sold to Alpha Devon, he will never be gentler than me. If only you had given me your body I would have treated you nicely but now the brutal Alpha will rip your insides apart.” He mocked his words felt like a lash to my over-sensitive skin.
My heart pounded against my chest at the mention of Alpha Devon, I simply can’t imagine myself with the Alpha, the cruel Alpha that everyone feared.
“Alpha Devon’s men are here.” Asher grabs my arms and started to drag me out as more tears flowed down my eyes.
Oh my poor self! I can’t believe this is how my fate had planned my life. Why am I so ill fated?
Asher forcefully pulled me out of the basement, and my eyes landed on two hefty men, they stood at the door talking with my step father. Selene was also gossiping with her mother Maureen, and when her eyes met mine she scoffs. Maureen turns to look at me, an evil smile appeared on her face, she seemed to be the happiest person today.
“That’s her.” She quickly said, as they all turned to look at me. I felt like the floor should open up and swallow me whole.
“Look at who is getting sold.” Selene teased as she glanced at me from up to down. “I wonder what the Alpha sees in her, she is nothing but a worthless omega!” She scoffs. I had always known she has been jealous of how beautiful she thought I was, even with all the scars and wounds they had inflicted on me, she thought I was still very much beautiful in comparison her. She looked at me with so much envy.
If she is so envious of the cruel Alpha buying me, she might as well go in my place. I am getting sold to the cruelest man alive and she still had the nerves to be jealous of that.
“I thank the Alpha for taking this burden of a thing off my shoulder”. My foster father hissed while they all laughed. Tears start to well up my eyes as fear engulfed me, even with all the abuse I faced daily living with them I couldn’t bear the thoughts of the guards taking me away from here, the only home I’d ever known.
“Please, don’t take me to the Alpha.” I started to plead again as I fell to the floor, I got on my hands and knees and started to beg withtears were streaming down my eyes.
“You ungrateful fool! I fed you and clothe after your mother had abandoned you on the street and you can’t do this little for us? Once you bear an heir for the Alpha he will set you free.”
Not only had they sold me to the cruel Alpha but I was also going to have to bear him a child. More tears streamed down my eyes at the thought of carrying the cruel Alpha’s child.
“I doubt she would ever be able to make it out of the Alpha’s sight alive, you are just going to be a mere breeder to the Alpha.” She laughs loudly as Selene joins in. My eyes landed on Asher and he looked at with with clear disgust planted on his face.
“A mere breeder to the Alpha, what a low life Evelyn, with how high your nose was always in the air who would have thought you would end up as a mere sex slave.” She mocked as I shaked my head in fear as they kept laughing and taunting me.
“That’s enough! Selene.” I heard my foster father say “Get her out of here.” He called out to the guards, and they made their way towards me. My heart were beating fast against my chest, I might end up dying of heart attack before they take me to Alpha.
“No please, don’t let me take me to him.” I begged them as one of them held my arms tightly.
“Why is she so bruised?” One of the guards with a rat looking face said, his voice thundered across the room.
“Ehn… she is so stubborn so we had to beat some sense into her.” Maureen said slowly.
“The Alpha would complain about this, you know she is getting sold to the Alpha so why bruise her body so badly like this?” He roared. I watched as they shook in fear.
“She rolled down the stairs yesterday, we didn’t do anything to her”. My foster father quickly cut in. I shaked my head at how blatantly they were lying to my face.
“Is there going to be a problem with the money we are going to receive for her?” Maureen asks nervously her voice cracking a little, my stomach twisted into a ball, as I felt disgusted at how evil she was.
How could someone be as evil as this? I was being sold like a mere object.
“We will still pay you the full amount, I am only saying the Alpha would complain at how unkempt and bruised she is!” He looked at me from up to down his eyes judging me.
I heard a low scream and I looked over at them, they were jumping and laughing together.
“I knew you didn’t make a mistake the day you brought her in!” Maureen said laughing hysterically.
Tears stung my eyes as they flowed down. I had always known they hated me and wanted me gone but watching them jubilate at how they were going to be paid for selling me off made me feel more worse.
I shouldn’t have been born to begin with. Abandoned by my mother at just six years and now I am being sold to a cruel monster. Why is life so unfair to me?
I felt a hand pull me off the floor, I was too weak to protest so I just accepted my fate. One of the guards threw the bag of shiny gold coins on the floor and a few rolled out, I watched at how they pounced, scrambling to each be the first to get to the bag.
Their raucous laughter filled the air as they counted the money, jumping up in the air. This was the happiest I had seen them be since I was taken in by them.
“Thank the Lycan for buying worthless goods from us.” I heard my foster mother call out as the guards dragged me away more tears rolled down my eyes.
They lifted me into the carriage, my eyes were still fixed on the door, a small part of me still wished they had come out to see me off but they instead were fixing their eyes to the small pile of coins the Alpha had paid them for buying me.
As we made our way away from the hell I had lived in, I prayed silently that my life would be so much better in the palace, even if I wouldn’t get good treatment I could hope there would be good food for me to eat and a better place for me to lay my head on.
I didn’t get to eat the meals I prepared for them and I always had to hide some meals to eat later on and I didn’t have a room to sleep in. The small corner they had given me to sleep was a small corridor near the kitchen they had turned to my room.
I could do nothing but hope for a better life in the palace.
“How many more hours before we get to the palace?” I asked one of the guards, I wasn’t expecting any answers but curiosity was killing me.
“We should arrive at the palace by sundown Miss Evelyn.” I felt my heart flutter a little, no one had ever answered my questions or called me miss. I always felt invisible, I smiled a little for the first time.
My eyes were tired from all the crying, and I drifted asleep.
“We are here Miss” I heard one of the guards say as I opened my eyes blinking lazily, the door of the carriage swung open and I was lifted down. A lady walked towards us and she bowed a little, I bowed back in shock.
“Welcome to the Redmoon pack, I am Miss Rosa. I would be taking you to the room you would be staying in.” A short lady with a bright red painted lips said to me.
She turned and started to walk away while I followed her closely, my eyes scanned around the Redmoon pack, it looked nothing like the Silvermoon pack. The whole castle were made with black and red glossy bricks, it reminded me of blood and it wasn’t welcoming.
The hallways we passed were not brightly lit, Lady Rosa stopped in front of a door and she pulled out a bunch of keys, she kept trying to unlock the door till she finally found the key. She turned the door knob and walked into the room and I followed suit.
My palms were sweaty from how nervous I was, I wasn’t even allowed to pack any clothes, the only clothes I had brought to the Redmoon pack is the almost worn out night wear on my body.
“This is the room you would be staying in.” Miss Rosa said.
My eyes scanned across the room, it wasn’t overly decorated but I didn’t expect anything like this, all my life I didn’t have a room or a bed to lay my body on, as I had to sleep on the thin mat on the cold floor in my foster parents home.
Tears threatened to fall from my eyes as I sniffed them back. A large wardrobe, mirror and a large bed decorated the room.
“Thank you.” I replied slowly as I fought back tears.
“Make yourself comfortable, I would be leaving you to adjust, if you need anything let me know.” She said before turning to leave.
I climbed on the big bed and when my body touched the bed I realized just how tired I was.
A room to call my own. Never have I imagined that.
I noticed some clothes were already hung across the wardrobe, and I walked towards it. I scanned through the clothes, they looked and felt so expensive. My mouth were hung open. I wasn’t even allowed to dream of wearing such fancy dresses.
I felt happiness wash through me, maybe I am better off away from the cruel hands of my foster parents, I had a room of my own now, I don’t have to wear Selene’s or Maureen’s worn out dresses and the lots of abuse they put me through.
My thoughts were interrupted by the soft knock coming from the door, I slowly advanced towards it and I opened the door.
A small girl with a maid outfit on stood in front of the door, she stared at me from up to down and I realized just how unkempt I looked.
“The Alpha wants to meet you tonight.” As the words left her mouth, I felt my heart beat frantically against my chest.
“What?” I asked like I didn’t just hear her say Alpha Devon wants to meet me.
“Prepare to meet the Alpha.”

Evelyn's POV After what felt like years of darkness I fling my eyelids open sharply to meet a blurry white surface. I blinked my lids repeatedly to clear my view when I heard a voice. Or should I say voices?I felt a warm sensation on my forehead, I traced the direction it came to see… Luther? Bloody yes! He was the one. On seeing this, my vision cleared up immediately. “Hey.’’ He called softly. I tried to sit up abruptly, but a striking pain hit my abdomen, earning a whimper from me.‘‘Fuck! Easy, you still need some rest.’’ He grabbed me carefully, helping me sit up. That was when I noticed a shadow on my left side through my peripherals. I almost jumped down from my position when my gaze caught Devon’s. “Hey.’’ His voice was so soft, it sounded weird. “What are you… what happened?’’ I faced Luther and eyed Devon again.“You're recovering,” Luther spoke, and everything came rushing into my memory. The immense coughing, the blood, my screams.“My children! Where are my childr
Evelyn's POV “Then should I get you water, my lady?” Merit came again, she was never going to get tired I guess. I ignored her yet again. She has been convincing me to eat something, but I wouldn't even respond to her.She sighed and finally left. I laid my head on the dining table, looking at nothing in particular. I felt empty. I felt dejected. My life became like a burden to me. I feel so sick and I don't know exactly what is wrong with me. Worse is nobody cares, or Luther doesn't care. He never came to see me, he doesn't ask after me. He hates me now. Even I hate myself. My children were the only pillar I clung onto. Their love was enough to keep me alive and waiting for Luther's forgiveness. I'm sure the pack members hate me now, probably excluding my maids though. I lifted myself wearily, dragging myself to the bed. I reached for my phone and stared at Luther's number, but a knock came on the door. The person came in when I wouldn't respond, and my eyes almost popped out
Alpha Devon's POV A genuine smile lingered uncontrollably on my lips. It was the first time in four years that I felt genuinely happy. The thoughts of having some tiny little feet pattering the floor sent a hearty chuckle off my lips. “We're here, Alpha.’’ My driver announced, turning the engine off. A fresh wind hit my face as I stepped out. I started my way briskly into the building. What could possibly go wrong now? I would be having my children soon! ‘‘Hey.’’ A familiar voice called out. It had better be my ears malfunctioning. “Finally. I've been waiting for you.’’ She came to view from the waiting room, and it wasn't my ears.A deep sigh escaped my lips. Turns out something could actually go wrong. My smiles dissipated.“Why are you here, Kyra?” “Why do you guys always ask me that silly question?’’ She said as she rolled her eyes. “There is no room for you here. You once misused your privilege, you can't have it again.’’ I continued my way inwards. “We both know that b
Evelyn's POV Trailing my eyes on him from his face to his feet, I knew at this moment that I both hated and dreaded this man in front of me. He was my doom! I looked away from him with a silent sigh, trying to gather up my nerves that were depleted first. “Greetings to you too, Devon.’’ I managed to produce a firm tone, even as my insides were crashing down already. Every word that left his lips, there was no way anyone around wouldn't read the meaning of it.‘‘What now? Wonder Woman in action?’’ He jeered. Somehow, I never get to miss his nasty smirks.“Cut to the chase, Devon. Why are you here?’’ I took a sharp breath, blotting up my true feelings behind an unaffected facade. “You know, Evelyn, that's one thing about you. You're so adept at gauging up your emotions. But I suppose Luther has been too foolish to decipher them, too consumed by his selfish desires to recognize your true nature! But well what does it matter now?" His previously furrowed expression transformed into
Evelyn's POV My heavy eyelids paved the way to a rather confined view, despite how much I widened them. It had become a mundanity every morning I awake, after my anticlimactic date with Luther three days ago. I sat up on my bed. Shoving my bedding aside, I went to the bathroom. Did my morning routine and retired back to bed. That is how it has been every morning for the last few days too. Nothing changed. Luther hasn't tried to come to see me, which means he was still really mad at me.I barely left my room, even if it was certain Luther never brought anyone in on the discovery. If my instincts still function correctly, then I guess the incredible knowledge was just limited to myself and the two colluding brothers. I spend the whole of my days in my room. I no longer see the kids often, except for sure they ask after me and are brought to see me. But they haven't since yesterday, and it bothered me.Sabrina isn't an exemption, except that I never approved of her visits. She had
