LOGINI look back at the Shadow pack Alpha. I can’t for the life of me remember his name, but I shrug, “He must be busy. If you’ll excuse me.”
He nods, pulling the glass cup of whiskey to his lips and taking a small sip, and I walk away. My eyes searching the crowd, but I don’t see him anywhere.
It’s not like him to leave and not tell me, but maybe he needed some fresh air. I move towards the door, opening it and walking into the fresh air. The feeling of something clawing at my skin, just gets worse.
I scratch my arm more, my nails digging into my skin. Good Goddess, what is wrong with me. I set my champagne on the nearest table; it must have something to do with that.
I shake my head and head back inside after I confirm he’s not out here.
I look at the stairs and decide to go check his room.
I get up the stairs quickly, I don’t know why he’d be up here, but he must be, I’m running out of places to look unless he left the pack house entirely.
My feet start feeling heavier as I walk closer to his room, that should have been my first sign. I round the corner, and walk to his room, opening the door and freezing in the threshold…
Ouch… Ouch… Ouch… I continue to pinch my thigh, because this can’t be real.
Kiera gasps, “Sam, stop.” She whispers breathless. He chuckles, “You were just begging for harder, Baby Girl.” He rasps, slamming into her again.
My eyes connect with Kiera’s. Hers wide as she slaps his bare back with her palm. He faces away from me, having her pushed up against the wall. “Thea.” She breathes, and he finally slows, looking up at her confused.
He follows her eyes and drops her from his hold, “Thea.” He swallows roughly, then reaches for his suit pants hanging over the side of the bed.
My frozen body finally responds to my screaming mind, and I turn around and walk away, leaving them both behind.
“Thea!” Sam shouts at me, but I keep walking, it doesn’t stop him from catching up with me though, just before I reach the stairs. His brown eyes, that I once found so innocent and beautiful now look muddy and damaged, look into mine. “I can explain. Please let me explain, Baby Girl.”
My body flinches at the nickname, everything I once found enduring, I now find repulsive. I don’t even want to look at him.
My eyes close, and I try to turn away, but he grabs my arm and pulls me back to him. His hands hold me captive, and I glare up at him, before kneeing him in the balls to get away from him.
He falls, but I only turn to run straight into Kiera. Her eyes plead into mine, “Please, Thea. He’s my mate.”
I gasp, taking a step away from her. Sam having righted himself pulls me back into his chest. His hands rub down my arms, “Please, understand, Baby Girl. My wolf wants her, but I want you. I’ve only ever wanted you. This will only happen enough to sate our wolves. I swear Baby Girl.”
He says as if I’ve already agreed to this insanity.
I turn quickly, pushing him off of me, and stepping back. Both of them covering the stairs and making an easy escape impossible. “Thea.” Sam begs, reaching for me once again.
“I think she’s made it quite clear she has no desire to have you touch her.” A voice comes from the shadows they flicker then the Shadow pack Alpha comes from them.
Sam glares at him, showing him no fear, though I know it’s there. He’d be a fool to fight this man.
Something inside me has me taking a step back, closer to the man of shadows until I’m standing beside him.
He seems to be the only one here wanting to allow me to leave.
His hand slides across my lower back and he pulls me into his side, then turns back to Sam. “You made your bed.” His eyes turn to Kiera looking her up and down, “Now, you’re going to have to lay in it.”
He pushes me towards the stairs, and though Sam shows no signs of fear, he moves out of the way along with Kiera, and we both make our way down the stairs.
“What the hell?” Orion snaps as we shadow travel back to the room. Colt has me in his arms. My blurry vision starting to come back to me.Orion grabs me from Colt. “Do we need the healer? What’s going on, Colt?” Orion snaps.Colt suddenly snaps out of his shock, “I… I don’t know. She was fine, then she just started freaking out.” He tells him.I take a deep breath, sitting up as Orion sets me down on the couch. Cyrus is on my other side in the next second, Colt kneeling in front of me. “I don’t need the healer. I’m fine.” I rasp. Cyrus scoffs, I roll my eyes, “Really. I’m starting to feel better now.” I whisper.“What happened?” Orion asks again, my head shakes, “I don’t know. It’s like Colt said. I was fine, then things started getting blurry, and it was hard to breathe.” I tell them.Colt’s eyes scrunch, “The fountain. It affected her. She kept turning towards it. I didn’t realize.” He tells them. “What?” I ask, but I’m promptly ignored. “That’s not possible.” Cyrus snaps. “How the
All I see is hills and hills of green grass, willow trees and wildlife. Colt places two fingers on my forehead and suddenly I see stone houses torn in half, newer builds completely burnt to the ground, greenery, weeds and wildflowers covering over them, trying to erase the evidence. I turn seeing what had to be a beautiful fountain, the craftsmanship alone… Wow. I take a step towards the fountain, feeling drawn to it for some reason.Colt grabs my arm, “Stay away from that.” He whispers, my eyebrows knit, “Why?” I ask, trying to move towards it again.“It could be dangerous. I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” He tells me, and I turn to look at him. “This is your old pack?” I ask, and he nods, looking up at the shambles it’s become.A building following a broken path comes into view. It’s giant, stone pillars trying to hold up the remnants of whatever’s left.I reach for my heart as I suddenly feel like I’ve lost something.“How long ago did this happen?” I ask him, turning to look ba
We come back to the room completely soaked, after I decided it would be fun to try and push him in the pond after he got dressed, but he caught me right before he went in, taking me with him.Our smiles are still wide as the shadows disperse. Cyrus glances up from his computer, a smirk on his face, “Looks like you guys had fun.”I nod, walking over to him, sitting on his lap and pressing my wet body across his. He laughs, grabbing my hair and pulling me off of his chest. “Do you honestly think you looking completely sexy soaking wet is going to bother me?” He jokes, and I chuckle shrugging, “A girl can dream.” I tease, whipping my hair around to smack him in the face.He chuckles and pulls at my wet shirt, “I’d say I’d help you to the shower, but your other mate is currently occupying it.” He tells me, and I smile pulling off him, winking and walking towards the bathroom. He shakes his head, a smile still covering his face. He sucks in a sharp breath. “I’ll deal with the dry you once
Wildflowers coat the ground in all directions, willow trees seemingly falling from the sky, a small pond sparkling in the sunlight. Beautiful. It looks like a picture… A dream.“Wow.” I whisper, looking around the field. A wild horse takes off, white and… “It’s almost magical.” I whisper, like the sound of my voice might disrupt the delicate balance that natures created here.Orion comes up behind me, his arms around my waist and I rest my hands on his. “Who says it’s not?” He asks, and I tilt my head up to look at him. “Is it?”He smiles, “I don’t know, but our home can’t be the only one filled with magic. Some places may just be luckier.” He tells me.“I thought you liked the dark.”He shrugs, laying his chin on the top of my head, “I don’t hate it, I barely notice it anymore until I leave. My eyes allow the dark to come rather easily.”“Then what is it?” His arms hold me a little tighter. “I know you’ve accepted it as reality now, but I see the way you yearn for the light. How you
I throw a piece of broken wood into the dumpster, my mind a million miles away. I didn’t tell them what I heard last night. What the voice that has lived in my head as long as I can remember, said.I have to be crazy. There’s literally no way. It’s not possible.“What happened last night?” Polly whispers, helping me pick up a heavier piece of steal. My head snaps towards her, not having expected her to even be here. “Hey.”She rolls her eyes, “What’s wrong with you.” My eyes slide to Colt, his already on me as he continues to help with the cleanup to.She follows my eyes and rolls hers. “What’d he do?” She growls, and my head is already shaking, “He didn’t do anything.” I tell her, and her head tilts, “Then why are you acting one million miles away. You didn’t even say hi when I got here.”I take a deep breath, then shrug, “Just busy, I guess.”“While I love helping rebuild the pack, I would also like to hang out with you guys not covered in sweat.” Jacob jokes, walking over to us. Colt bites down on my ear lobe, “Answer him, Onyx.” He growls low in my ear. Shivers race down my spine. “Yes.” I answer and Cyrus slams me down on his cock.I see Cyrus start to stare at my neck, but it’s like that’s what Colt was prepared for. His hand tightens, making sure he can’t be moved, also managing to cut off a bit of my air supply.Cyrus’s eyes move to mine, “Fuck, Princess.” He rasps, grabbing my hips, and speeding me up. He lifts off the bed, grabbing my ass and my back as he starts thrusting into me.He grabs a handful of my hair and pulls my lips down to his, Colt still keeping my neck covered, his hands sliding over my sides, kissing down my shoulder.Cyrus thrust into me one more time and we both explode. My body falls into Cyrus’s as we both come down, but Colt doesn’t wait long.He pushes both Cyrus and I back to the bed, pulling my ass in the air and thrusting inside of me easily. He grunts, his hand holding my back against Cyrus.Cyrus doesn’t seem to mind as he s
