6. My Mate's Parents

I didn't know what did Mr.green eyes expect me to do, watch the walls or talk with them? I couldn't even get my phone back as when I tried going near the border out of nowhere some wolves came with the annoying Gemma, who brought me back here.

Not only this now some wolves were even standing outside the house, which meant they would follow me everywhere.

Ugh! This was frustrating.

'We can just sneak out, El.' My wolf said.

'We tried that just an hour ago, they are surrounding the whole house.' I complained with a pout while I opened the third packet of my chips.

'Let's try again. What about from the back of the house?'

'No, I just saw them there too.' I told her. Then just a thought crossed my mind and I ran fastly towards the room.

The bathroom had a big window, I opened it and to my luck, no wolf was there.

'How come they are not here?'

'Maybe it's time for different wolves to guard and that's why no one is here for now.' My wolf suggested. Without even thinking I jumped out, seemed like I did a great job as I landed a little away from the house without any noise.

I walked to the place where I knew I could forget all my problems.

*********

I sat in front of the river looking at the water. How could something calm you but would make you afraid at the same time? The smell and its crystal clear appearance calmed me but at the same time, it made me afraid because the water wasn't my favorite thing.

I tried to forget everything and lay down on the grassy ground.

It was becoming hard to keep my eyes open as sleep was taking over me. Just then I felt someone beside me with not much distance in between.

The light brown hair guy with a sharp jawline was seated to my right while looking ahead. He had a small mole near his eyes.

No, he could not be who I think he was. I should be wrong, please God!

"Who are you?" I didn't care if I sound rude, I folded my arms and gave him a questioning look while sitting up.

He looked at me with his light blue eyes and for a second I wasn't able to breathe. I was right..... 'he is still a cutie though.' I thought but didn't like that I was thinking this. I knew better than anyone, not to go on anyone's look.

"My name is Alex." He said. It appeared that he knew who I was because he didn't ask me about my name.

"I know that," I said in a low voice but unfortunately he could hear it with his wolf hearing power.

"Oh....how?" obviously he was confused as we both have never met, that was what he thought.

I shrugged as it wasn't necessary to answer him. But just when I was about to lay down again I eyed the Beta beside me.

"Are you here to keep an eye on me?" I looked at him.

"Ummmm...no?" It was more like a question.

Why was Mr.green eye so annoying?

'Because he is our mate.' My wolf piped up. I was tired of her habit of speaking out of nowhere and then going back to silent mode.

"Listen here beta, tell your Alpha that I don't need you all watching and tailing me around. If I wanted to run I would have done it." I told him and stood up. He did the same, which irritated me more. More annoying was that he followed me until I reached the house and closed the door on his face.

*******

I was reading a book from the library which was luckily found by me. It was hidden behind a large shelf filled with Mr.green eyes family pictures. I hated that shelf the most but then a thought cross my mind, not only rack but I hated everything in this pack.

I roamed around in the library which I think held something important because of course, that was why it was hidden. While taking a look at the book I saw a book which's cover was of a girl with her half face covered in blood and her big red gown was torn. The cover somehow intrigued me but just when I started reading it, I heard a knock on the door.

Who it could be? Surely Xavier would have just opened the door with keys and other wolves wouldn't disturb me.

I looked through the peephole to see the two people, who I could not look at without a loathing expression, were standing outside waiting for the door to be opened.

My mate's parents were outside but didn't they know that he wouldn't be at home right now?

'Hey! wolfie.' I thought my wolf would know what to do.

'What do you want, El?' It seemed like someone's mood was not good.

'Can we, by any chance, mind link our mate even if he hasn't marked us?' I asked her, desperately wanting a yes.

'We both have read many books about wolves and you know we can not mind link him because we aren't mated.' She was talking to me like I was a child who every time would forget what she has learned.

'But we can try, we're special right? Maybe we can do it.' I insisted.

'Cant we just.....you know send them back home.' She asked and I answered with a no, cause in that case I had to see them which I didn't want to do.

She focused on Xavier and his mind. Desperately trying to get to his mind and at last, we did it.

'Wait how can you mind link me?' he was sounding confused but I ignored his question.

'Can you ask your parents to go back home, I can't meet them.' It was more like a demand than a question.

'They are there? Weren't they on vacation?... Anyways I will tell them to go back-' Before he could say something else I ended the mind link.

I was in deep shit and I couldn't see any way out. His parents were back and so were Beta's parents, let's not forget Beta's sister Catherine. How would I gonna survive here?
