This must be my end, I would die just like that. I should have thought about some plan if things might go downhill but no, ugh! idiot me.

I kept on counting but nothing happened, nothing came my way. I was still breathing and was in my body.
A growl made me open my eyes as I saw my mate, fully dressed, had his mother's back against the tree with him holding her hands.
