7. Not So Good Pack Members

I was in my black hoodie with ripped jeans. The sky was covered with white fluffy clouds, the cold wind was slapping my face ever so lightly.

Although I was trying to keep myself away from pack members who were doing their work, still just a little noise and they would be staring at me like I was a ghost.

I was well aware of the two wolves following me around from the morning but it was better to ignore them. Even though I told Xavier to stop his wolves, of course, he didn't listen to me.

If my mood was bad because of the not-so-good pack members who were making me uncomfortable with their stares now it was worst because I saw once again Xavier's parents in front of the house when I returned after a stroll.

'What do I do now?'

Suddenly someone kept a hand on my shoulder and I swung back to punch the person but stopped when I saw Xavier's face.

"Why would you come suddenly out of blue?"  While moving his hand from my shoulder which was giving sparks to my whole body and different types of feelings that I couldn't pinpoint were stirring within me, I asked him.

"Come on, let's go home." He tried to drag me towards the house but I didn't move from my place.

"I'm not going. I can't meet your parents." I told him softly so it wouldn't sound rude. He looked at me like I was some alien or something.

"Are you my Ella?" My heart skipped a beat when he said 'My Ella' but I didn't let him see it as I looked toward his parents waiting patiently.

"My name is Stella, and now go." I pushed him towards the house but he turned around to look at me. Just when I glared at him, he held his hands up like surrendering and walked towards his house without turning back.

I was just walking mindlessly in the field when I saw a girl crying. Her small chubby face was red and wet because of her tears. Her long brown hair was hiding her half-face as she sat on the ground.

Hmmm...I remembered my old self when I would use to cry. Sitting beside her I fake coughed which made her look at me with her teary eyes.

"Why crying, beautiful." Though I hated this pack and everyone in this pack still I could not help but be a softie whenever I would see a child.

"I want to play, but they pushed me saying that I'm omega, and I can't play with them." She would be of 5 or maybe 6 years.

God, I was disliking this pack more and more, they still have the same rank difference. Like Beta or Alpha's kids could not play or talk to any omega or average pack members kid. There were many more differences among pack members.

"What do you wanna play?" I asked her as she looked at the kids who were playing hide and seek.

"Something that is fun to play," She said. Though I didn't know many games I did know a game that was fun to play.

I looked behind me and saw a ball there. Taking the ball not caring if it was of someone else, I mean I didn't have any other option, I came back to the small girl.

******

I was laughing loudly as I won the third time and Eva, the cute child who I was playing with, had a pout.

"That's not right, I was the one who saw the ball first," she complained.

"And I was the one who got this ball first," I replied with a smirk and she looked at me with her puppy eyes, this girl knew how to make someone listen to her.

"Fine, let's play again," I said but when I looked around I saw all the kids looking at us. A boy who would be a year bigger than her walked toward us.

"Noah, you are here," Eva exclaimed as they both hugged each other.

"Who are you?" he asked me rudely, gosh this kid.

"She is El, my friend." Yeah, she used my nickname which I had never let anyone call me except for my wolf.

"I'm your only friend," he said while glaring at me. 'Ooo, possessive.'

"Calm down boy, I won't take your friend away," I told him with a small smile, and guess what? All three of us were playing after some time while other kids looked at me shocked that a grown-up girl Iike me, was playing and laughing like an idiot.

Just when we started the last match a voice of a young beautiful girl interrupted us, her red face was indicting danger. She walked toward Eva and I glanced at her questioningly.

"She is my sister, a little short-tempered," Eva said, I nodded.

"Why didn't you come home? It's late. I was worried about you." She scolded her.

"Who are you?" She gazed at me with a raised brow.

Why was everyone asking the same question?

"I'm Stella," I told her, and Eva continued for me after that, telling me how I was her friend and all.

"Oh, thanks for helping her. My name is Elena." The girl said. We talked for a while before I felt someone's intense gaze on me. The hairs on my neck stood up on their ends and someone was indeed staring at me.

Xavier stood at the corner, half-hidden by trees. I swear he wasn't even blinking as he kept looking at me. The moment my eyes met his a different feeling surged in my body. I have to forcefully break the eye contact and have to turn toward Elena.

"I hope we meet again, I would love some company," I told her with a smile. After ending the conversation I walked toward Mr.green eye.

"You seem happy," he said.

'Of course, I got someone nice to talk to and soon my friends, Mia and Sebastian, will be coming.' But instead of saying this, I nodded and we fell into a comfortable silence walking toward the house.
