Isabella.

Two weeks later, I was packing the luggage for both Treasure and I in preparation for Leo's soon arrival.

Treasure bounced on the bed, happy at the thought of seeing ‘his daddy's house' as he dubbed it. Leo and I had regaled him with the simpler details of our trip, and he was excited in every way to see Leo's pack and meet people who were just like him.

I smiled at his antics as I stepped back, zipping both our small luggage. Although the ceremony was going to be in three days, according to leo, I had packed for at least a week, taking permission from Treasure's school and getting Janice to substitute in my place for the time being, a task she was surprisingly happy to do.

And just in time, the door opened.

Treasure ran down first despite my cries to “Be careful!”.

I came out soon after, carrying both luggages in my hands to meet Leo's gaze.

His warm smile sent heat up my cheeks, making me duck down in pretense of putting the luggage down.

    Isabella.Treasure played freely amongst other children. The happiness in his eyes made me smile from the window I watched him in.He had taken to them very well, free to reveal his claws at any time, compared to before.After what felt like minutes of watching, I settled back down onto the couch, filled with stacked books I was hoing to remove for the day.I settled into the dark couch where even before I left, it gave comfort.
