As I finished peeing, Jo helped me stand up. She didn’t push, but allowed me to pull my pants up and waited for me to ask for help. “Before we go back out there, I wanted to have a quick girl to girl talk.”

“Let me have it.” I looked at her, daring her to continue.

She smiled at me. “I like you. No, not that kind of talk. I just wanted you to know that neither one of us slept with Maddox. Sure, we flirted, but we are both virgins and are saving ourselves for our mates. Where ever they might be.”

“I can’t lie and say the thought didn’t cross my mind.”

“Shit, anyone would have thought it. I just don’t want you to not give Maddox a fair shot because of his reputation. He really is a great guy and will make a great mate.”
