Two heavily armed guard men were stationed at the entrance of this huge black gate. There were lights all around that were neither fueled by generators nor electricity but by something else that was brighter than what one could ever imagine.
One of the men noticed an image - somebody was walking towards them in slow and steady steps and he became alert. So was his companion after he noticed it too.Immediately a few armed men jumped out of nowhere and arranged themselves to prevent the person whom they perceived as strangers from entering. One of the earlier two men then approached the stranger. "Stop."The stranger did accordingly to their commands. He was wearing a black linen that covered his face so his image was not properly seen. The guard was still cautious get brave. "Remove your cover." He ordered but the stranger did not even move an inch. The guard lifted the cover off his face and was stunned to see who it was when the eyes greeted him in the dark. "Your...your Highness?" He was totally shocked and quickly saluted him by curling his palm into a fist and placing it directly on his shoulder across his chest. The men behind also did the same before he was led in.__________________ "It's such a wonderful moment I can assure you." "Of course...of course, your highness. It's indeed glorious as it's the red moon night." "Many catastrophes are meant to happen as well." "Who are we to stop it? Moreover, this is the one time in their lives when they get to be independent without getting caught."Different manly voices and feminine laughter graced the air as meals - assorted meats were served around the huge dining table in the dining hall. Every member took their seats prestigiously and waited for the leader to start eating before they would. However, their discussion was ruined when a guard entered. He bowed and moved closer to the King. He whispered something and that moved him because the spoon he was holding fell to the ground, making a loud noise due to its weight. His eyes shone after receiving the information. "Really?" "Yes, Your Highness." "Then let him in. What are you waiting for? How dare you even let him stay outside one bit?" He scolded the guard furiously and the latter quickly ran out with his invisible tail stuck between his butt. The members of the table were slightly confused about what was happening and looked to the King for an explanation. However, that wasn't needed anymore as the awaited guest finally made his presence, seizing the air and everyone's breath as well. The ladies gasped when they saw him while the men had a mixed reaction of shock, surprise, arising anger, and unhappiness. The stranger bowed before the King. "Father."The King was excited to meet him but had to calm himself down. He cleared his throat and nodded as a form of response. "Hmm. What are you doing here?"A young man rushing down the stairs caught everyone's attention and immediately he saw the stranger, he couldn't fail to express his happiness. "Brother? Brother!!!" With gladness, he went to hug the stranger, jumping on him unexpectedly without a care if it was disgraceful or not.The stranger rolled his eyes at his childish behavior and waited for a while so he could express his gibberish talk before pushing him off. "Hezekiah," Allen noted but Hezekiah didn't let go of his hand one bit and just kept smiling like a fool instead. He turned to his father, "Father, I can't believe this. You haven't seen your son in decades and all of a sudden, the first thing you're asking him is why he is here. Terrific." Hezekiah scolded but then looked at Allen with confusion for a while. "Yeah, why are you here?" He asked. "Hezekiah!" His mother scolded him and he went to sit down while Allen just stood there, absorbing everyone's gaze. "Prince Allen, why don't you come have a seat beside me?" A lady offered with a smile as she patted her chair. The King agreed and spoke, "Yes, yes, have a seat. We were just about to have dinner."Allen didn't refute and sat down with the rest of the large extended family. His food was quickly served and they all began to eat at once after the king took his bite. Conversations sprung up again to lighten the mood after Allen's arrival.Sitting opposite and facing him was Sky, Allen's oldest brother. His eyes didn't leave Allen for a second as they were eating but he didn't say a word so he wouldn't ruin the happy occasion but deep within him, he was slightly troubled. Allen had been gone for years or should he say 'he escaped' his clutches? So why was he back? The King drank from his cup and faced his son. "It's been a while, Allen. How are you doing and what is with the sudden visit?" He asked. Everywhere became dead silent as they waited for him to speak. A minute...two minutes...three minutes passed by yet no word was heard from him. "Father is asking you a question, why are you pretending to be deaf?" Sky asked this time around and Allen paused. He looked up from his meal and then at Sky. His mood couldn't be deciphered as he was always mysterious and unexpected. He then looked at his father. "I am here for something. Don't worry, I won't stay long. I will be long gone before you realize it." He answered and continued eating. The King poured him a glass of red content which he rarely did and pushed the glass cup gently towards him to drink. Allen eyed it and shook his head. "Can I a bottle of water instead?" He requested and everyone was stunned. They looked at one another in surprise at his request. The lady sitting beside him was perplexed as she stared at the handsome man. "Allen, don't tell me you don't drink blood again?" She asked. Hezekiah poured a glass of water for his big brother happily and just when he was about to lift it, the lady stopped him by holding his hand, bringing it to everyone's attention that he had a ring on. "You're married?" "What?"Allen removed his hand from her grasp and drank the water instead. He stood up and bowed to the King. "I will be up in my room." "Brother wait for me." Hezekiah followed quickly with his remaining food, leaving everyone baffled as they heard him chat excitedly with Allen before their voices could not be heard any longer. The presiding Queen looked at her husband and then at everyone. They had become speechless, unable to understand what was going on. Allen could not be a spy, he was here for something, he had a wedding ring on and he wasn't pulled in by the strong scent of blood - something wasn't adding up. That was what Sky concluded in his mind. Whatever the idiot was here for, he had to ensure that he would leave before ruining his work for him. The image that he had managed to build for all these years......I can imagine myself in the scene already, lol. Please, leave a comment. Thank you."Is she going to wake up any time soon?" "How am I supposed to know? She doesn't look like us nor does she smell like us - she smells foreign or should I say distance?" When Jane couldn't bear these voices in her head anymore, she shook her head and opened her eyes forcefully. When she suddenly saw two people bent over her, she screamed but got muffled quickly by the pain that followed that cry. Just close to her heart was a bandage then she remembered what had happened. She was carried away by these creatures to somewhere far and unexplainable - somewhere like the top of a mount and placed there. She was so weak and had to calculate with her head how long they had flown. Their appearances scared her. What type of beasts were these? Where did they come from? They didn't even look the closest to humans to all. They looked like all these creatures created by movie makers in thriller action movies - only if they knew that these creatures they used CGI to create were real. As t
The news about Allen's arrival had spread around the whole arena. No one had expected his arrival as it had been decades since he left. Rumors started going on regarding his arrival. Maybe the King was going to choose his next heir. Regardless of these rumors, none of them could stand solidly. Allen brushed his hair and stared at himself in the mirror helplessly before staring at the wall. Calculating his days here in comparison to the human world, it was already two months since his departure. Would the boys be able to handle the pressure? Because on a normal circumference, the journey through the portal wasn't supposed to take more than a few days but because they had a stranger go through it, it changed the system. His attention was called for when someone knocked on his door vigorously. He needed no one to tell him who it was. When the person didn't seem to relent, he walked towards the door and pulled it open, revealing Hezekiah with a mischievous smile. "Hello there brother.
Jane sighed as she picked a stone and threw it across the river that was in front of her. She had been here for a while, there was no clock, no smartphone, no technology, and somehow the night took longer to arrive. She sat down on a small rock and rested her head on her palm as she went deep in thought. Emily had been able to explain to her what her new world was. She remembered the conversation that they both had that night as it was still fresh in her brain. "So you claim to come from another world better than this?" Emily asked surprisingly and Jane looked around before replying affirmatively. "At least, from my experience yes." "And you people use what again?" Emily frowned. "Phoned, gadgets..." "Okay...okay, that's enough. I don't understand what those words mean. I think I will have to trust you on this because you look fragile and certainly you don't know your way around here. And also, you mentioned something about falling into what looked like a portal..."Jane nodde
(In the Mansion.) "Is she going to wake up any minute from now?" Xander asked as his gaze lingered on the beauty's rainbow hair. Drake frowned and hit his arm. "What?" Xander squeezed his face. "Stop staring at her like that." "Well, she is mysterious. What else did you expect me to do?" Xander fumed and angrily went to sit with his brother who was less concerned about the banter. They had been waiting for about four hours but the lady refused to wake up. Drake had assured them that she wasn't in any way faking it and that the power must have been too much than he thought. A few minutes later, Sophia shook her head slowly from side to side. This alerted them. They waited for her to open her eyes which finally did but she was totally displeased and disappointed at herself. Her hands were tied behind a chair, not just any rope but a magic one which she wouldn't be able to break from without alerting them. Her glares could have literally burnt down a building if it was a fire. Dra
Jane was screaming alongside the siblings. She wasn't even given the chance to see what was supposedly chasing them but as long as they were running this fast, it only meant they were in grave danger. Pan was holding tight to her hand. "We can transform, guys!" Peter screamed at the top of his lungs. "But she can't," Emily responded and flew over a broken branch. "Yeah, I completely forgot about that." Emily was the one leading them and she was quite fast but Peter wanted to stay as close to his brother because his strength was minimized. After all, he was making Jane run at the same pace as them but the weakness was that it would only reduce the pace. They suddenly came to a halt when two men jumped in front of them with spears in their hands. They became terrified and quickly looked behind him but what was pursuing them was no longer there. So they could calm their breathing. Emily bit her lips, she looked frightened. "Er..." "Take them."More men came out and approached th
"What should we do with them?" One of the men asked after pushing the captives to the front. The man who seemed to be their leader groaned and rubbed his cheeks. He eyed Jane maliciously - she looked totally different and it was now he was noticing her. "Is she a part of you guys too?" He asked Emily. The latter swallowed and blinked with fear. They had just been caught by the palace's powerful vampire guards and another mistake whatsoever could get them killed. "She is a part of us." She answered meekly. "What can you transform into?" He asked Jane. "Huh?" She quickly looked at the siblings for help. She knew nothing about transformation. "She lost her powers a few decades ago. You can ask her this after she has recovered. Don't you see that she looks pale and totally different from what we look like? She is sick and if care isn't taken, she might die. That is why we are trying our best to keep her fragility because we love her." Pan answered this time and Jane looked at him
Ben was about to leave for the company when a black Mercedes Benz drove into the compound. He recognized who it was at first glance and immediately rushed back into the mansion to seek help. "Grandmother is here. Grandmother is here." He shouted and the men made their way downstairs quickly. Drake who was upstairs with Sophia sighed and looked at her. "I will be back." He reinforced the powers safeguarding the room and exited. He was not able to get her to say anything for a while and it was infuriating. Old Madam Ryan and Paul entered the mansion and saw the men already standing close to one another as if they had been visioned her arrival beforehand. She looked at the whole mansion carefully, probably expecting Allen and his wife to come out. She found her way to the couch and sat down. Paul was holding her expensive bag for her while standing behind her. "Have your seat." He said to them. "Grandmother, your arrival this morning is somehow strange. I hope all is well." Ben as
"So are you finally going to talk or you are still being adamant?" Drake asked as he pulled the chair and sat down in front of Sophia. "Where is Allen?" These were her first words in a while. "He went to save his wife," Drake responded with a silly smirk. Sophia quickly became worried. "Jane? What happened to her?" "How did you know her name? Why do you feel so worried about her? Is that why you're here? Because of Jane?" He asked wisely enough while staring at her, trying to get answers from her eyes. Sophia looked away but now is not the moment to be proud as what she had assumed was supposedly true. Jane was missing and so was Allen. If she could at least get the location or what could have happened to her then, she would know what next to do. "Fine. I am here because of Jane, okay? I couldn't sense her presence here anymore." "Why would you be looking for her? Do you probably want to take your revenge on her? Why don't you just face Allen himself and deal with him rather
