Chapter 14

Despite Alpha Greyson's sharp and cold stare, I remained silent. I couldn't respond to him. I'm not sure either. My parents died when I was very young, and I grew up there. Where did I come from if I'm not from this kingdom, as they claim?

"I-I apologize, your Majesty...but even I couldn't answer your questions," I humbly said while bowing. I could feel him moving away from me. I bit the inside of my lower lip. I'm not sure why I noticed even when he moved away from me.

"Leave," he said. I raised my eyes at him. All I can see is the coldness in his blue eyes. Something was going on in my stomach. I bowed once more before exiting the room. When I walked out of the room, that's when I realized how nervous I was.

I pressed my chest against my heart. I am afraid, but I know that my nervousness is not solely due to fear. I've always had feelings for the Alpha king, and even though I knew his entire personality, I couldn't let him go.
