Bella's Pov Who would've thought that being locked in my room would be this peaceful. My father thought I would cave and be a good and obedient daughter. How horribly wrong he was because I planned to stay here until it was my yearly checkup. I would tell my lawyer that they locked me in my room even though I did my part by marrying Lucas. Than I would see if I could get the marriage annulled while still having access to my money. I would watch my grandfathers company burn to the ground because of my mother and father. Bella's Pov I knew that I would've been smarter had I went to a normal school. I always begged my mother to let me be normal. I had deserved to have friends but she refused. I was required to be homeschooled. She insisted that I could not trust anyone because all they would want is the power that I held. She never missed a moment to tell me how easy someone could deceive me. "You know it's never too late to take back your life. Fix what your mother broke." Lucas whispered near my ear causing me to shiver from the way his breath tickled the back of my ear. "What, what are you doing?" I stuttered as my waist was grabbed and I was pulled back into his firm chest. "Talking to you." He whispered near my ear. The intoxicating scent of his cologne almost had me relaxing into him. Luckily my resolve was stronger than his seduction. "I don't want to talk. You need to leave now." I demanded sternly. "You can go to school and experience all of the moments your mother stole from you."

Third person Pov The dimly lit conference room was silent except for the man who was typing away on his laptop. Minutes had went by as the short man looked over the results, making sure to double check everything so that he didn't make a mistake. He kept looking down at his note book and back towards his laptop with furrowed brows. "So?" Someone asked finally breaking the silence that had became deafening in this room full of powerful men. The man quickly fixed his glasses and looked up from his laptop with a pale expression on his face. All eyes were on him and he couldn't help but pull at his collar out of nervousness and fear. For over 8 years he had worked countless hours to find a way to be able to attack the brain of someone whose body would protect them. After thousands of failed attempts and countless sleepless nights he finally succeeded. He had assumed it would only be a one time thing but he had realized too late that the men he had worked for were on a mission.

Bella's Pov (5 months later) Tears streamed down my face as I stared at the door that was stuck. No matter what I did I couldn't figure out how to open it. I had pulled on what I assumed was the door handle but it did nothing even though I had pulled on it with all of my strength. I was starting to question if it was actually a door.
