Chapter 14: A Shocking Discovery

Mirabel conti used with her work at the MacDonalds. The madam who had already been impressed with her work and honesty became even closer to her and more generous because of her status as an orphan. She recalled how she had felt when she lost her father and then she still had her mother with her. She could well imagine how this poor orphan girl must be feeling now that she had neither of her parents.

Mirabel on her own side was grateful to the MacDonalds for their help in burning her mother. She did not know if she could have done it alone or as well as they had made it.
