“How’s the training?” Zev inquired as he walked down the stairs one morning. Three days had passed, and he was looking forward to hearing something good from Lucian’s team. After thinking over the situation they were in, Zev decided to make some changes to his plan. Instead of waiting for the blood clan to invade, he thought it would be better if he gained a foothold on the enemy’s territory. The next morning, Layla had to get up as soon as she could just to avoid the man who did nothing all night but to tease her. She was literally stuck with Zev when he tightly wrapped his arms and legs around her. They had a useless bicker and a few kicks and slaps which were all done quietly as they didn’t say a word while hitting each other. While Layla was annoyed, she couldn’t believe how Zev enjoyed what they were doing. In the end, she gave up and let him clung to her as his life depended on doing so. However, she ended up awake the whole night and the options left were to wait until the morning came and left for another day to train or put down her guard to sleep. There was no way that Layla would choose the latter option, so she had to endure the drowsiness she felt when the dawn arrived.‘Finally,’ she thought while forcibly removing Zev’s hands and legs on her. The man seemed to be in deep sleep which gave her the advantage to break free.
