Matthew
The following weeks flew in a blur. We had a series of lives in different areas, sort of like a mini tour, and we're either on the road or practicing. We barely even have enough time to rest but I didn’t mind since we loved what we were doing. It doesn’t even feel like work for me, it was our passion."Here," Cassie said, tossing us each a bottle of water. I almost didn’t catch it but thankfully I gripped the bottle just in time to avoid embarrassing myself in front of the girl I like. Landon finished his in a few gulps. His shirt was soaked so Cassie placed a towel in his back so he won't get sick. She looked like a mom tending to a child. Clark was topless (as usual) and Kasey was stretching his legs out. My hair was already damp with sweat so Cassie wiped my hair with a towel. Good thing I was sitting down because I wouldn’t know how she would reach my head if I was standing."Are you okay?" Cassie asked. She was frowning. We just fiCassie“He’ll be fine.” Adam gently said as my tears kept flowing on his white doctor’s coat. He was stroking my hair and patting my back. He’d never been this affectionate to me before. But then again, I never broke down in front of him and he must have been shocked himself.“What happened to him?” I asked wiping my tears away. Crap! I probably look like hell. I’m sure my whole face was red and my eyes are already swollen.“Over fatigue. He needs complete bed rest for a couple of days and he’ll be better.” He answered simply. Thank god it wasn’t anything serious. That was the last leg of their tour and they really went all out for their fans. I wish I’ve done something so they didn’t over exert themselves. Matthew, especially.“I can’t tell you not to worry about him but I’m telling you, your boyfriend will be just fine.” Adam said sheepishly. Since when d
Matthew"Stupid Matthew!" Clark scolded standing next to my bed. "What would we do if something happened to you?""Clark's right," Kasey added, without his usual jolly antics. "We were all very worried. We thought you won't wake up.""Ouch," he cried when Landon slapped his head."Stop talking like that," Landon scolded. "You sound like Matthew's almost dead.""Calm down," I told them quietly. The sound of their voices combined is making my head hurt. "I'm fine. Alright?""Thank goodness Cassie was there, everyone's just running around and shouting." Landon said, peeling an orange. The scent instantly filled the room. He's right, I remembered the commotion that followed right after I fell down. It was mass hysteria."She's amazing. She even knew first aid!" Landon continued.Yeah, right! He was the one who did nothing but shove his face on mine when I was hardly breathing."Well, that's Cassie for you." Clark said, just like a proud fathe
Matthew“Where’s Cassie?” I asked as Mel visited me the next day. Minus the three idiots and plus a basket load of fruits. I was hoping to talk to Cassie alone, but she’s probably having a get together with that childhood friend of hers that she’d forgotten all about me completely. I just can’t shake the bitterness from my thoughts.“She’s got work to do so she asked me to accompany you.” She replied while putting a fresh new batch of flowers in the vase. I can vaguely smell the faint scent of roses. “Don’t worry. She’ll visit you later.”I don’t know which is better. That she visits me and sees that doctor friend? Or don’t visit me so she won’t see him? I want to see her but I don’t want her to see him. If only that doctor doesn’t work here. They should have brought me to another hospital instead. Is it too late to ask for a transfer? I could pretend I’m
Cassie"Where are you?" Mel frantically asked from the other end of the line. "Hurry up, Matthew's going to be here soon."Right. Matthew finally got discharged from the hospital after a week of confinement and everyone's preparing a 'welcome back' party for him. I wasn't able to visit him frequently so I sent Mel instead. Besides, I know Adam is keeping an eye on him and he'll definitely tell me if anything happens. It was really nice of him to comfort me when I was having a breakdown. I wanted the earth to swallow me every time I remember what happened. Adam was such a nice guy not to mention it. Maybe I should give him a thank you gift."Don't worry. I'm on my way." I chuckled as I placed my phone in my pocket and went to lock the door of our shared apartment. A warm breeze blew as I quickly tread down the flight of stairs. Spring's just around the corner and the flowers will soon be in bloom.Maybe it's the good weather, or probably because Matthew's finally
Matthew"Since Cassie's late, she'll be the one to clean up all this mess." Mel said after everyone was done eating. I have to admit that I was really surprised that they prepared a party for me but I was more alarmed when I didn't find Cassie among them."Alright." Cassie just smiled in surrender. She made us all worried when she came in running late since it wasn't usual for her not to be early. She's a punctual person and we thought something happened to her when she didn't show up."Let me help you." I said as she began cleaning up the leftover food from the table. I took the paper plates and went to dispose them in the bin."Are you sure?" She asked skeptically. "You just got out of the hospital from over fatigue." Her brows were knit into a frown, but she still managed to take my breath."Well, what are all these muscles for?" I said flexing my bicep. I have to get back to the gym soon. I've been slacking off in the hospital for a week and I feel so sl
Cassie"Looks like somebody's in a good mood today." Mel commented as I entered the kitchen. I didn't even realize I was humming until she mentioned it. After last night, it felt like a something heavy has been lifted off my chest."What are you doing?" I asked her. It's no use trying to deny it, it's probably written all over my face."Duh, isn't it obvious? I'm cooking." Mel rolled her eyes at me. As if being in love suddenly made me dumb."I can see that." I stuck my tongue at her. "What are you cooking?" I asked her again."I'm making a bento." She replied, carefully slicing the egg rolls."Want me to help?" I offered. The horror in her face was hilarious."But you don't cook." She stated."I don't cook, but that doesn't mean I can't." I smirked at her. "Come on. let's make some for the guys, too.""You know what, you're right." Mel nodded. "Those guys are probably tired of instant food. They're too busy to even cook.""Okay, you
Cassie"Hello everybody!" As usual, Landon's hyperactivity started our day. "So, any plans for Matthew's birthday?""Matthew's birthday?" I asked."Yep. Today." Landon casually said."WHAT!?" I shrieked."Calm down, Cassie." Landon chuckled. "Usually we would hire strippers for his birthday but-""WHAT!?" I cried out once again, cutting him off. A strip party? Oh my freaking gosh, my innocent ears."But since we have you kids around this year, I think we're going to keep it clean." Landon finished.I let out a huge sigh.My head is seriously spinning right now. I'm seriously no good at planning parties and stuff plus I couldn't digest what Landon just divulged about the strip tease and such. I need some air."Is he coming today?" I asked."Nope." Landon answered, popping the p at the end. "Forced him to take the day off.""Good good." I said, out of my mind. The more I wouldn't be able to think if he's here."Good morn
Cassie“Attention! Attention!” Landon says, opening the doors dramatically and walking inside the room in slow motion. As if he’s a messenger sent by god to announce some huge revelation.“Cut the crap, Landon. And just tell them the good news.” Clark says beside him, although I could tell that I swear I can literally hear the excitement in his own voice.“Shut up, dude.” Landon tells Clark, lightly elbowing him on the side. “I’m trying to build the momentum here. Why don’t you just cooperate?”“Come on, Landon. Hurry up and tell them!” Kasey says, barely containing his own excitement. Whatever Landon’s about to say, it must be very important. And whatever it is, I wonder how Kasey’s able to keep his mouth shut about it. “Hurry up or I’ll tell them myself.”“Fine, fine!” Landon says, feeling the pressure from the two. Although he looked lik
