As the men were slowly approaching the house I saw that a lot of them were wearing motorcycle gear. Like they belonged to motorcycle gangs and it looked like they were the ones running the show. I didn’t know why they had a grudge against us. We didn’t care what illegal activities they were up to, we just wanted to be left alone. I finally turned the corner of the packhouse, shifting while running, my clothes shredding everywhere. The men looked to the side at me and the three werewolves following me and they got a look of panic on their faces as they tried to turn around and point their guns at us. I jumped on the first guy that was closest to me and I grabbed his machine gun in my mouth. I ripped it from his hands and threw it away with my head. The gun disappeared into the woods. The man then punched me in the face and then punched me again and I leaned closer to his face, baring my teeth and growling at him. He turned his head, thinking that I was going to kill him. But inst
I think I might have scared Jeremy a bit after that because of what I said and I could feel him getting really anxious. Scared that I was going to leave him. So I saw him go to his father immediately and dragged him off to the side so that no one else could hear what they were talking about. I was inside watching through the window and they were getting into a pretty heated argument and drawing a lot of attention to themselves. So Luna Elsie started clearing everyone out away from the packhouse. She didn’t want everyone to see what was happening and I started feeling guilty about causing so much tension between father and son. I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to let Jeremy know that if my brothers and sisters had to leave then I would be leaving with them. I promised to take care of them and I am all they have in the world. Jeremy finally came back inside and he walked straight over to me. Knowing how guilty I felt right now and he wrapped his arms around me. “Don’t feel guilty. Th
Luckily we were only in the shelter for about an hour before we were let out and we went straight out the front of the packhouse and we saw the smoke was practically gone and the warriors were heading back to their loved ones. When I finally saw Jeremy he ran up and hugged me and I asked what the hell happened. “Someone started a fire on the eastern side of the pack. We don’t know who. But we know that it started on the outside of the border.” He says. “Who would do something like that?” I asked. “I don’t know. Maybe rogues or something like that.” He says. “There aren’t any rogues left since the war.” I say. “There are still a few. But they keep a low profile.” He says. “Why would they want to attack this pack?” I asked. “I don’t know. But for some reason, someone did.” He says. We were under attack and no one knew who was doing it or why they were doing it. Alpha Henry was even scratching his head. No one knew what the hell was going on or how to handle it. Apparentl
Luna Elsie wasn’t lying about having fun. We went to a friend of hers and we sat around the kitchen table drinking coffee and playing cards. Her friend was really cool and laid back as well. I could see that Luna Elsie only put that show on for her mate. She had to be hard and tough like him, but she was the complete opposite. She was warm and loving and she was really nice. When we left that house we did need to do some Luna duties, which was check on families who had lost loved ones in the war and she dealt with those people so elegantly. So delicately. She knew exactly what she was doing and she wasn’t a stone cold bitch, like I originally thought. When school let out that afternoon we went to meet my siblings at the gate of the school and they all ran over to hug me. All the other kids were watching because I was standing there with the Luna and I could see a couple of the older girls looking me up and down. “Those girls had their eye on Jeremy. They were hoping that they wo
It took a couple of hours for us to get to our new pack and we were in complete awe. The kids were so excited about everything that they saw while driving through the town. But it was nothing compared to how quiet they got when Jeremy pulled up outside the four-story packhouse. It was bigger than the one in our last pack. And this town was bigger. I could only imagine how many people lived here. I was also in complete shock and awe and Jeremy got out of the car and he came around and opened my door for me. He held my hand while I got out of the car and the others just barreled out like they didn’t have a care in the world. Soon, the front door of the packhouse opened and a stiff and staunch man walked out onto the veranda of the packhouse with a woman standing right behind him. “Father. This is my mate Cora. Cora, this is my father, Alpha Henry and my mother Luna Elsie.” Jeremy introduced and I bared my neck to them in respect. But I heard his father grunt slightly as the kids
It only took a few hours to pack up everything that we owned in the house. Which wasn’t surprising, we didn’t have a whole lot of stuff anyway. Mostly just our clothes and a few toys. Jeremy helped with everything and I went to the warehouse to say goodbye to Sienna and Luke. I felt like I at least owed them that much. And then Jeremy and I needed to go and see the Alpha. “So, you two have made it work. You’re leaving us.” Alpha Marcus says to me. “Yes, sir. Jeremy is an Alpha so I have to go back to his pack. I’m glad that he’s not the Alpha yet. We can learn all that stuff together.” I admitted. “Well, that’s a mature way of thinking about it. And you are obviously taking your brothers and sisters with you. Even Piper?” He asked. “Yes, sir. She is my sister.” I say. “I know. That’s good. I think Piper deserves a fresh start in a new pack.” He says. And after saying that, I knew that he knew about the baby. About his son being the father of the baby. I was just relieved that
When we got back to the house the others remembered who Jeremy was and Jane ran straight up and hugged his legs. And I got to introduce him to my brothers and sisters and my mate. The future Alpha of the Full Moon pack. They were all so excited for me and especially Piper. But I knew that there were definitely things that I needed to talk to Jeremy about before any decisions were made. We needed to talk about my family. I got all of the kids off to bed, eventually. They were too excited to go to sleep, but they finally went down. And I made coffees and Jeremy and I sat outside talking while I knew that they were trying to listen out of their windows. But I kept yelling at them to get back in bed. “The Alpha has filled me in on everything. I went to see him today. I told him about my last visit here and about you. And that’s why I’m back now. To take you home with me. And he told me about your mother. I’m really sorry Cora. I wish I could have been here for you.” Jeremy said, rea
