Chapter three

I sat down on a chair beside her bed as she search through her closet for the dress she picked for me. Not in a million years would I ever believe Bethany planned on taking me to an amusement park.

She is just unpredictable.

"Found it" she beamed, placing a red silky grown on the bed. " what do you think?"

I stared at it for a while, before mouthing. " Hell No" and with that returned my gaze back to my phone.

"Don't you want to do something for fun?" She asked.

"Like what?" I asked while scrolling through my phone, only looking up at her when she did not reply me. She just stared at me smiling.

"Do you trust me?" She asked.

Now the truth is, not exactly. I trust her with regular things like life dilemma, things that makes me nauseous, things i don't tell anyone else. I mean I have known her for ages and I consider her my best friend. I presume some people would call her "Fun" simply because she takes risk, not that there is anything wrong with that. It's just that, I'm not a risk taker.

I'm basic.

I stay out of trouble; in another word, I'm boring. So I suppose it would be nice to do something fun.

"Okay, fine. Where are we going?" I asked.

She pulled off my cap, stickerd her hands in my already messy brown hair and messes it up even more.

"So you mean you don't trust me?" She asked with a scowl.

I looked away, I didn't say that i trust her again, because I only trust her with regulart stuff, not just stuff that i could get in trouble for.

I stood up from the comfort of my chair and shoved my phone into my pocket waiting for her to give me instructions of what to do and where to go. She grinned with satisfaction.

"Put this on," she said stretching the red dress towards me. I sighed as I took the red short gown from her. "It's beautiful but I can't wear it Bethany, you know i have..." She handed me a jacket before I could finish and raised a brow.

"It's still won't be warm enough,"

"Give it a try Clara, you can apply my lotion if you want!"

"Bethany..."

"Truth me," She did the puppy eyes.

I rolled my eyes. "You know that doesn't work for me."

"It's worth a shot," she pointed at me with an eye close, grinning sheepishly. I shook my head and walked into her dressing room to get changed. She never seize to amaze me.

"Oh my gosh! You look gorgeous!" She beamed.

"I think it's kind of tight especially the upper region."

"Am so jealous.." She groaned, her hands cupping her boobs. "So this is what you had hidden in that oversized hoodie, heartbreaking."

"I don't feel comfortable."

"You don't have to."

"What do you mean?" I asked looking puzzled.

"Being a woman is more challenging than you can ever imagine, being beautiful, elegant and well groomed is the top priority, being comfortable comes last"

"Look who is talking." She tug her tongue at me, l rolled my eyes.

"Come on miss Klutz you don't want to be late." She grinned.

The drive to the amusement park was exhausting and Bethany ranted on how fun it would be. To be honest, I wasn't listening because heaven knows she could go on forever. I only replied " hmm" and " really" not to get her suspicious.

I pulled my phone from the the jacket I wore and logged into my social media account to stalk on Ethan. Yeah yeah, sign me up for a freak.

"What are you doing?" Bethany asked, trying to steal a peek, but I hid my phone behind me.

"Just focus on the road" I blurted, she rolled her eyes. I snickered, pulled out the phone from my behind and to my horror I had accidentally liked a post from a year ago.

"F**k!" I cussed.

The smell of carnival food drifted through the air as I came down from the car. I stood watching the crazy ride where most scream and laughter came from, the people seemed so small inside the giant ride that flung them this way and that.

It reminded me of my first ride experience which was a ferri wheel at a local fair. Looking at that hovering atrociousness whirling the life out it's sardine boxed in occupant, I was dumbstruck. It was enormous, smoky, noisy and not a little intimidating. Ever since that preliminary expression became fossilized in my imagination the ride reminded me of creatures, amazing dinosaurs carrying off their screaming passengers like sarcrificial virgins. Even the droning noise of their engines brings to mind the tremendous roar of a fire breathing dragon with smoke spewing from it's nostrils.

"Do you want a ride?" Bethany asked, looking genuinely curious. Probably because of how keenly I stared at the ride.

"Just tell me why we are here" I lamented.

"Just chill" she said and rolled her eyes at me. "We are here to have fun remember" Her hands forged their way round my neck.

"So Clara..." She began. I knew this tone of voice, it's dangerous. "What do you say about getting your first kiss" she whispered, I turned to stare at her.

"What do you mean?" I asked perplexed by her statement.

"I have a plans for you" she grinned sheepishly and tried walking away but I pulled her back roughly.

"Clara!" She whined trying to free her hands.

"What plans do you have?" I asked curtly, Staring gravely at her.

"Just let go of me Clara" She cried.

"What plans is it?" I asked again as she drew out her hands from my grasps.

"You are pretty strong for a girl you know" she signed rubbing the already aching hands. "Phew!"

"Bethany!" I rasped.

"Keep it down Clara, I only planned on making you participate in a kissing booth that's all!" She glowled.

"Oh really?"

"Hmm...kind of" she answered cautiously.

"Bethany" I called

"Alright, I signed you up" She confessed.
