chapter nineteen

The clock on my nightstand registered 5:43 am, Reminds me that once again I had woken up before the rest of the household. I slowly put my foot to the floor, pausing to straighten the book carelessly abandoned on the bedside cabinet when I felt my eyes closing just before sleep. I stretched out and inhaled deeply, it's been just a month being friends with lia and I have already turned out to be a bookworm. We seem to get a lot more smoothly than I presume, probably due to the fact we had many things in common. The shadow of night darkens the room. I reach up to pull the cord, light chasing away whatever lingers in unlit corners.

A swoosh of cold air trembles my skin as I open the balcony door, I embraced myself tightly.

I run my hands across the bookcase I bought a few days ago, the glass front displaying for all to see its shelves overcrowded with books I can't wait to finish reading. I opened the bookcase and pulled out a book.

"I will read this as I wait for dawn," I grinned sh
