I watch as he sat down on a seat miles away from me, but that did not keep me from dribbling. Distance is not an obstacle when it comes to love.
"Clara!" Bethany said snapping her hands in front of me." Get hold of yourself!".
"Is he not just cute" I said grinning sheepishly.
"Yeah.. Everybody knows that" she mumbled with an eye roll.
"Way more than your boyfriend you know"
"At least I have one" she rasped.
"Who cares" I grumbled.
Ethan has this grey black curly hair and pink perfectly shaped lips that always swept me off my feet. And his physique, oh my...
"Alright that's enough" Bethany said hauling me back to the class.
"But my noodles" I protested
"I owe you a plate of noodles then" she muttered.
Yeah great.

Bethany gave me a ride home even though our route home differs, she always insisted on taking me home never wanting me to take the bus.
"Thanks Bethany" I said, coming down from the car.
"Just don't forget about tomorrow, it's going to be fun you know" she beamed.
"Yea, yeah" I growled, giving her a wave. She winked before taking off.
I opened the door to see dad watching TV with my baby brother Tony.
"My little angel is back" He said dropping down the tv remote.
"Dad!" I screamed, running to give him a hug. How much I had missed him. I hugged him tightly.
"You still smell good" He complimented making me giggle. " I got something for you" He whispered. "Follow me" He added walking quietly into his room and I tailed behind him.
"Where do you two think you are going?" I heard the dulcet voice of my mother. I froze.
"Mum" I called as I swiveled to face her, she wore a bold smile.
" Yes am talking to you" she said folding her hands across her bossom. She walked toward me and gave me a tight hug. " I missed you too" she said like she could read my psyche. I wrapped my arms around her as I broke down in tears.
Dinner was blissful, filled with laughter and chattering.
I missed it.
The aroma of mum cooks, the dulcet whiff of dads fragrance, and the frequent giggle of my baby brother. I enjoyed every bit of it and wished it would last forever.
"Good night pumpkin" My mum said kissing me on my forehead. I usually whine and complain anytime she insist on walking me to bed but right now, I crave for it.
She switched off the light and closed the door behind her.
"Good night mum" I mumbled.

A loud groan escaped my mouth at the loud sound of my alarm.
"Argh" I groan inaudible.
I stretched my hand towards the night stand and pressed the stop button. I closed my eyes trying to drift back to a peaceful slumber when i was disturbed yet again. I glared at the night stand to see my ringing phone, who else would call in such an early hour if not Bethany. I wanted to ignore but knowing how persistent she could be, I picked it up instead.
"Don't tell me I woke you up" she giggled.
"What do you want?" I groaned.
"Just wanted to remained you of our plan for today"
"You mean your plans?" I asked with an eye roll.
"Whatever" She hanged up.
I sat at the edge of my bed yawning heavily, I stared at the time.
"Few minutes to seven" I mumbled, i pulled back the curtain allowing the sun to reflect into the room making it bright and gleaming before stepping sluggishly into my bathroom. I stared at my greenish hazel eyes which constantly got complicated as I brushed my teeth. But still, I hardly find anything unique about it. I dried up my mouth with a napkin and walked out of the room to assist mum in the kitchen.
"Hi mum" I greeted giving her a peck on the cheek.
"How was your night?" She asked.
"Fine, what are we having for breakfast?"
"Scrambled egg and tea"
"Tasty" I hummed taking a bite of the egg.
"Stop that!" She slapped my hands." And go set the table" she instructed counterfeiting a frown.
"I will do just that" I kissed her again, and she giggled.
Dad came down stairs with his hair plastered down by a night against the pillow. He sleeps on his left side mostly, he had creases on the left side of his face, and the hair on that side of his head was the most out of other. He blessed the food and started to eat his meal impatiently.
"Are you not going to wait for your kids?" mum teased.
"I'm late for work" He mumbled through a mouthful of egg. " That reminds me" He took a slug of his tea. "I bought a present for you Clara, you will love it". He said finally, shoveling another bite of egg into his mouth.
"Really?" I asked sitting beside him. He nodded as he took another bite.
"Hope it's not that hideous sweatpants" Mum scoffed, joining us in the table after placing chocolate chips pancake and syrup for Tony. He had always been picky.
"Don't you like sweatpants?" Dad asked.
"As long as it's not pink" I shrugged.
"Ha ha.. See I won" Dad said with a grin making nutty expressions, and mum couldn't help it but chuckle.
Time flew fast and before I could blink an eye it was already noon. I wore the greyish sweatpant dad bought for me and a green Mickey Mouse sweater I got from a bontique few weeks ago. It gave me the warmth I had hoped for, with a cap on my head and a snickers in my feet. I took my pills and rode my shake board down the road and swirled into Bethany's neighborhood. It was as quiet as a graveyard.
Creepy.
I pressed the door bell and waited patiently for an answer. Most times Mrs Cranston, Bethany's mum was the one that gets the door when ever I came, while sometimes it was her elder brother Jason. But surprisingly Bethany answered the door.
"You made it" she beamed, dragging me in like I had a choice.
"Hey take it easy" I whined as she pulled me inside her room.
"What now?" I asked.
"You change into something else" she answered with a smirk.
"Stop being sarcastic" I said with an eye roll.
"Do you expect me to take you with me to an amusement park dressed like this" she gestured. "I already picked up something for you" she said going through her wardrobe.
Wait... We are going to an amusement park?
I sat down on a chair beside her bed as she search through her closet for the dress she picked for me. Not in a million years would I ever believe Bethany planned on taking me to an amusement park. She is just unpredictable. "Found it" she beamed, placing a red silky grown on the bed. " what do you think?" I stared at it for a while, before mouthing. " Hell No" and with that returned my gaze back to my phone. "Don't you want to do something for fun?" She asked. "Like what?" I asked while scrolling through my phone, only looking up at her when she did not reply me. She just stared at me smiling. "Do you trust me?" She asked. Now the truth is, not exactly. I trust her with regular things like life dilemma, things that makes me nauseous, things i don't tell anyone else. I mean I have known her for ages and I consider her my best friend. I presume some people would call her "Fun" simply because she takes risk, not that there is any
I had always wanted my first kiss to be something tremendous, mind blowing and unusual, sometimes I try to picture myself kissing under a stormy weather in the middle of boulevard, or inside a pool of water swimming rhymically. Nevertheless kissing a complete stranger sounds more eccentric, and to frank, I kind of preferred it. After a jiffy of silent Bethany spoke out. "Its just a charity program and I know the lady hosting it so i can sign you out if you.. "I will do it!" I interrupted. "Huh?" Bethany just couldn't hide her surprised expression, she gaze astounded at me. "You will participate?" She asked. "Sure why not" I mumbled audibly. "Hmmm, okay" she spoke out still surprised. Maybe she felt uncomfortable or perhaps dumbfounded by my reply because she didn' utter another word. I presume she expected me to be repulsive or angered due to how much I despised being put into stuffs with my perception. To be frank I am amazed by my re
Drizzling of rain started to fall and Bethany and I decided to head back home since it was already minutes pass seven, I changed back to my clothes since the weather was getting uncomfortably cold. The ride home was excruciating, Bethany kept on blabbering about the kiss and how cute the stranger was. I quickly urge her to stop me when we were few miles from my house. "Okay, if you insist" She shrugged. "But I doubt you will find a cab". "I know, I plan on walking home" I said coming down. "Come on Bethany it's already late and you know I won't mind taking you home." "I feel cold, jogging home will keep me warm, our doctor also suggested i do that in situations like this." I lied. "Alright, see you in school on Monday" She waved and zoomed off. I exhale deeply, I had aways detested walking home late at night but that was the only option I had to escape from Bethany blabbering. I placed my headphone on my ears as I jogged toward
The sun woke me. A stream of light that hit me right in the eyeball. Rude! I yanked the covers over my head, burrowing, but flashes from the night before made it impossible to return to sleep. I pulled the blanket off my face. Squinted at the clock. It was too early to be getting up on a Sunday. But whatever. I slid my legs off the edge of my bed. Rubbed my eyes, stretched, and yawned. I wore my flip-flops and staggered into my bathroom. As I brushed my teeth to relieve my breath of the ick, the event that happened last night came flashing back. I stared at my ankle which doesn't seem to hurt anyone. "Why am I just clumsy" I muttered lifting my pajamas, to have a look at my knee. It was as red as a ripe tomato. "You woke up early today," mum said as she whisked a bowl of egg. That's just her problem, sometimes I wonder what was with her and egg! If not scrambled eggs it would be fried egg or omelet with sauce. We at
The sun reflection woke me up from my slumber. I yawned as I rubbed my eyes. I stared at the window, stunned that I forgot to close the curtain before sleeping. I whirled to gaze at the time. "Few minutes past five" I mumbled as I stood up from the bed, but hesitated When the sudden realization hit me. I took another glimpse at the clock before breathing out heavily. Now am not too surprised by the fact I woke up before my alarm. I walked into the bathroom to freshen up for school. ~ "Mum I think my alarm is faulty," I said, plodding downstairs. "How is your leg?" She asked instead. "Fine" I mumbled, sitting down to have breakfast. "Nice outfit" She complimented, I rolled my eyes. I wore a blue big hoodie and scalloped short which was underneath the hoodie. The scalloped short wasn't my size so it was extremely short, and was hardly seen to be precise. "The only reason am wearing this is because of of my leg"
He raised his brow at me after a jiffy of ackward silence."Sir, am afraid I can't tell you, it a girl thing" I said."About mestruation". A guy from behind said aloud, grinning sheepishly. Guess he overheard our conversation. The guys in class burst into laughter. I tried not to stare at Ethan's direction."Quite! And miss Clara I would love to see you at the principal office" Mr. John said."But..." I tried to protest but he raised his hands at me before returning back to his lecture. Bethany gave me a apologizing look.Great.I sat on a bench opposite the principal office waiting to be called upon, as I listened to my favourite playlist. I just hope I won't be getting a detention. The door cracked open."Miss Clara". Mr. John called, I pulled my earphones off my ears to stare at him, he backoned me to come in. I forge a depressing countenance before walking into the office.~"Were you punished?" Bethany asked,
A smile crept on my face as I remember those memories, which I always find hard to forget. I sat at the edge of my bed and pulled off my snickers and then my short pants, striding into the bathroom to freshen up."You mean you are not coming?" Bethany asked behind the phone."I have plans, sorry," I told her, clenching tight to my phone with my neck and shoulder, as I crammed my clothes inside our washing machine."Umm... Okay, I will tell you everything tomorrow and make sure to take good care of yourself "I nodded not minding the fact she couldn't see me before ending the call, I pressed the on the bottom and watched the machine spin my clothes roughly. After doing my laundry, I arranged my clothes inside the wardrobe. Threw my phone on my bed and walked down stairs for supper. I made a sandwich, took a bottle of milk from the fridge before heading back to my room. I arrange the meal on my bed and took a bite from the sandwich. I chewed sl
A loud groan escaped my lips at the loud sound of my alarm."Argh!" I groaned. Why on earth do schools exist! I squinted my eyes trying to sharpen the blurry images before me when the alarm rang yet again.Without giving it a second thought I grabbed the alarm and tossed it away. I was complacent by the loud crashing sound it made not until I heard a knock. One problem after another."Who is it?" I asked, with a grunt."Tony's nanny is everything okay""Yes! Just go away" I groaned, my eyes were dull, wishing for an extra minute of sleep."Okay, and breakfast is ready". She said.I bolted up, my eyes wide awake. "What did you say?" I inquired."I said breakfast is ready, but you want to continue dozing, so more for me". She said teasingly behind the door.I stared at my rattling stomach. "What did you prepare?""You're Favorite. Chicken soup"I opened the door grinning sheepishly f
