Chapter 20

Jason was just about to climb the staircase when at the first step he saw someone cheap having her lunch by the full-length glass window. Amber eyes were looking outside, perhaps enjoying the splashes of the rain. He bet if it was open, she’d stick her hand out and starts catching some raindrops.

It ain’t bad if he talks to her a little. With a lopsided smile on his mouth, he backs away from the stairs and walks towards the peaceful Stella.

“You look like the sky today. The only thing missing is the tears!”

Stella’s gaze shifted to him, her eyebrows instantly drawn together. The reaction Jason expected so he chuckled as he took the seat in front of her.

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Not even a hello, huh?”

“Why, how are you today, Jason? Lovely seeing you!” she acted sweet
