I counted the days when I would see Adam again. The thought of it made me smile unknowingly and I found myself drifted into my own little world. The lecturer Mr. Bentley walked into the classroom but what caught my attention and took me out of my own little world was the tall guy that accompanied Mr. Bentley. He was tall and had huge biceps and muscles. There was something about him judging by his outlook. He seemed kinda rugged and kind of a bully too.
Soon murmurs erupted amongst the ladies in the classroom. I was having history lecture right now and my friend Meghan wasn't with me. All the ladies seemed to be drooling all over for this guy. He had a charcoal black coloured hoodie on and ripped jeans with black heavy boots. A typical guy not to mess with at all and I made a mental note to stay far away from him.“Good day Students. Today we have a new transfer. He's from Europe and he will be studying with us. Our head of department asked me to introduce him to you all.” Mr. Bentley said and I drifted away. My mind was now focused on my notes and I continued to scribble down some points on my notes when I heard Mr. Bentley ask the new guy to introduce himself.Silence ensued afterwards and I was forced to take my eyes from my notebook and towards the new guy. His lips were of a fine thin line and his jaw was pointed. No doubt he was good looking and then our eyes met. I went still and my body unknowingly shuddered. His icy blue eyes stared directly at me for a few seconds before he threw his gaze away with a stoic face. One could easily tell right away that he must have been quite the troublemaker in his formal university for him to have been transferred.“Words Mr,” Mr. Bentley said and one of the boys in the classroom snorted loudly. “Hey dude? Cat got your tongue?” Ethan, a well known bully in only his first year asked as his gang of bullies all hooted along with him. The new guy simply strapped his backpack tightly on his shoulders and whistled before walking further into the classroom. Mr. Bentley rolled his eyes and told us his name. “He's name is Trevor Norman.”I watched him walk casually towards the classroom and thought he would pass me by but he didn't. He paused and turned his neck to stare at me. I blinked and then saw his blue eyes move towards the empty seat beside me. My lips parted slightly as the realization hit me. Don't tell me he wants to sit next to me. And I cursed myself for why I didn't put my backpack on the empty seat. But now it was too late and he immediately sat down on the empty chair closest to me. His scent filled me deep and it was pinewood and thick wooden fragrance. His focus was on Mr. Bentley while all I felt was nervousness building up within me. I tried to focus throughout the entire lecture but I couldn't. This new guy called Trevor was bothering me so much with just his presence. He on the other hand seemed entirely focused on the lecture and even penned down some notes. The bell rang and everyone soon stood to their feets and exited the classroom. I on the other hand couldn't move because of the new guy still sitted comfortably on his seat. I was close to the window so I needed him to move out of my way but he didn't seem to want to move at all.“Excuse me?” I called out to him and he raised his head from his notes to stare at me. “Can you move? I need to get out.” I added looking him in the eyes. He stared at me for a couple of minutes like I was nothing before he slowly stood up and man! He was damn tall. His shadow completely hovered around my small frame. “T-thank you.” I whispered and slowly walked past him. From up close, I caught the glimpse of his tattoo that peeked out from his chest but only saw a little and then I walked past him and suddenly I found my legs moving at a fast speed. I was out of the classroom in less than a minute and did do a few pants and I wondered what was wrong with me. My heart did beat out of fear. There was something about him? Something about that guy that screamed only bad news. His mannerisms, his style. And that tattoo peeking out from his chest. He looked no less than a dangerous gangster from one of those erotic novels that Meghan loves to read and fantasize about.I waited for Meghan at the end of the hallway and quickly sent a W******p message to Adam. He wasn't online and I imagined he would be asleep by now because of the time difference. I sighed heavily and looked at the time on my wrist. “Where are you?” I whispered to myself while thinking of Meghan when I left a kiss touch my left cheek from behind.I gasped in shock when I felt the wetness against my cheeks. “What the....” I paused when Liam came in front of me. “How dare you kiss me Liam?!” I growled with anger while the idiot only chuckled. “It was only a peck my dear Anastasia.” He said and I felt like slapping his face hard.“Back off Liam. How many times does Anastasia need to repeat herself. She's not interested at all.” Meghan came to us and fixed a stern look at Liam. “And I don't want to repeat myself either girls. I said that Anastasia is mine. I will make her fall for me and forget her dumb boyfriend abroad.” Liam said smirking and went off with his gang. My ears were red and fuming out smoke as I harshly rubbed my cheek with my hands to get rid of his lip mark. I felt very disgusted as I rubbed my cheeks clean.“Hey, take it easy Anastasia. You know how Liam is.” Meghan said but I was done playing all nice with Liam. I was so upset and to make matters worse, my phone rang and it was my mother's name flashing on my phone screen. “Gosh! Just what I needed!” I huffed and quickly declined her call. My mom and I hadn't been on talking terms since I started my first year. You can say our relationship only got from bad to worse. “Why did you decline your mom's call Anastasia?” Meghan asked. “I don't wanna talk about it Meg. Let's go now. I want to lie down. I have a splitting headache from only seeing Liam.” I quickly replied and pulled her along as we exited the university to call up for a cab to take us home.I only hoped I could talk with Adam again today as only he could calm me down. Only he could make my most bad day turn into a wonderful day in the end. At times like this with my issues regarding Liam and now my mother, I wished Adam was here physically with me. I wanted to hold him tightly. He was like the calm of the sea to take away all my troubles and worries. I sighed. I couldn't wait to see him when he would come to visit.Trevor was waiting at reception, his right hand was constantly tapping against the widely spaced desk, his eyes wondering around, keeping an eye out for only one person - slim figure, green sultry eyes and long brown curls. He was getting unwanted attention from the receptionists who wouldn't stop giggling amongst themselves. Even a few passing female staffs would stop and gawk at the young man who definitely carried an air of mystery and charm - a very perfect combination. Trevor, on the other hand hated the unwanted attention. He didn't like how they were all looking at him like some monument being displayed for all to see. He looked around the ground floor building that was almost as large as the entrance at the Louvre. He smiled knowing Anastasia was working at such a company. He turned back to the receptionists and forced out a tight smile. “Um....how long is it going to take for Anastasia to arrive?” Just then he heard the clicking of heels behind him and a very familiar fra
“Will you become my mistress?” Jack asked and in that split moment, everything shattered to pieces like fragile glass. In that fleeting moment, everything was ruined. The illusion wasn't there anymore. It had faded away. Ana pressed her lips tightly before she looked at Jack, her eyes only held nothing but pure disappointment. Now she was very sure that the man seated next to her wasn't Adam. Her Adam would never ask of something like that from her. Adam was more than a gentleman, he was honest and faithful in so many ways. She shook her head, her eyes which once held him in such a high place for having being a gentleman, he had finally showed his true colours, and Ana couldn't help but recall how he had insisted she stay in his penthouse until her arm was fully healed, it was all his plan to try and get in between her legs. “You....no, it can't be, you can't be him...” Ana forgot to breathe for a moment while peering deep into Jack's emotionless amber eyes. “This was the reason
The phone kept on ringing for a few minutes. “Won't you answer that?” Ana asked. Jack turned off his phone, ending the call before he continued with his dinner, acting like nothing had just happened. Ana blinked but kept to herself and also got back to picking on her food. His phone rang again, and Jack turned off his phone once again. “Please have your dinner, Ms. Robinson.” His reply was curt and Ana was quick to realize that. She wondered if the call from his wife had turned his mood into a sour one. His phone rang again, and this time Ana looked at Jack. “Your wife will only stop calling when you answer it.” “Have your dinner, Ms. Robinson.” Jack said harshly and Ana frowned before she angrily dropped the fork on her plate, used her butt to pull out her chair and stood up abruptly. “I can't concentrate on the food when your phone keeps on ringing all the time, Mr Miller!” Ana fumed before she attempted to take a step away from the chair but her other leg hit the leg of h
“Yes, Kayla. Please don't worry, I'm fine. It wasn't a serious accident.” Ana told Kayla over the phone. She lied to Kayla about crashing over at a colleague's house because of more workload at the office. She heard Kayla sigh with relief over the phone. “Okay, I'm glad it wasn't serious and that you are okay. I'd have felt horrible knowing if the accident had been fatal, I'm responsible for you, Anastasia.” Ana smiled. “I'm fine, Kayla. I'll be back in a day or two, depending on how fast we complete the work pending at the office.” “That's totally fine then. Oh, Nora wants to talk to you. I'll pass her the phone.” Kayla said and the line went silent for a few seconds before Nora's voice came in through the phone's speakers. “Hello bitch.” Nora's hyperactive voice rang through the speakers. “Hey Nora.” Ana winced a little when she slightly positioned her arm sling. “Okay, Kayla isn't near me right now. Now spill out everything. What the hell happened to you. And I don't buy th
Ana woke up and felt a bitter taste in her mouth. She tried to move to her side and groaned when she felt the soreness of her muscles and her left ribs. There was also a huge arm sling from her right shoulder down to her right arm. She bit her lower lip when she heard a woman telling her, “You're awake.” Ana forced her eyes to fully clear before she saw a woman seated by her bedside. And now Ana had a look around her and noticed this wasn't her bedroom at Kayla's apartment. She wondered where she was and held her head that now seemed to be very heavy for her neck. “Please don't move, your body isn't fully recovered yet.” The woman said and Ana looked at her again, possibly for her to tell her who she was. “The name's Jessie, I'm a nurse.” “Um, Jessie, what happened to me?...” Ana briefly closed her eyes and inhaled when a splitting headache suddenly gushed in her head and she had to rest her head against the soft headboard. “You were in an accident.” Jessie told her and Ana looked
Ana stepped inside the conference room, she was smoothing her brand new navy blue skirt and took a deep breath when she looked up. A long oval glass table was in front of her, and a few unfamiliar faces were seated. At the opposite end of the table was Jack who was seated with his eyes studying a particular file in his hands, and Kent who sat next to him. Ana wore a wide smile on her face as she looked at the business executives who were now staring back at her, waiting for her to begin. Her chest was thumping with every deep beat. She was very nervous, even though this wasn't her first time presenting in front of an audience, it was here first time presenting an idea for a project that was worth billions. She recalled how she only shut down her laptop around 4;23am this morning and only got around two hours of sleep. She really wanted to make it work, in Jack's eyes. She searched so much on the internet regarding ecological reserves with offices and shopping malls, did a lot of r
