Chapter Ninety- Eight

Karina, unable to keep silently watching him cook, demanded to have a taste of what he was making, thinking it was nonsense. Aidan shook his head, but before he could stop her, she eagerly scooped some of the food with a spoon. Aidan turned back just in time to see her choke on the food, prompting him to quickly grab a bottle of water and assist her, rubbing her back lightly.

As Karina drank the water, she was surprised to find herself staring at Aidan, who was looking at her with concern in his mesmerizing blue eyes. Their gaze locked, and the tension in the air grew palpable. As Aidan slowly took the glass from her, Karina felt her heart racing. She realized their lips were dangerously close, and though she wanted to push him away, she found herself frozen in place.

Their lips brushed against each other, sending a jolt of electricity through Karina's body. She pushed him back abruptly, her hands shaking.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean..." Aidan started, his voice filled with regret.
